“If he cannot prove his identity like you did, Mr Long, then I will not allow him to enter here,” the elderly voice said, firm in his tone. However, not long after, a familiar voice could be heard by Eru and Long behind the door. “What are you doing, dad? Immediately opened the door. Those two are the master and madam benefactor; they don’t need some measly identity to get in. Besides, the master had ordered me to let those two in immediately.”
Before the elderly voice managed to talk back, the door opened immediately, showing the figure of a familiar dark-skinned woman in front of Eru and Long. “Long time no see, teacher Eru,” the dark-skinned female warrior, Sydney, greeted while bowing towards Eru. “It’s not that long; it’s only been two days”, Eru quipped. Sydney flashed a gentle smile, “Come in, come in. Young Master Damian is looking forward to meeting you”, she gestured with her hand. “Y-you unfilial daughter, don’t open the door as you please”, the elderly man beside Sydney said; he angrily pointed at her with his right index finger.
“It’s the master and madam’s order; what are you going to do, dad?” Sydney teased while winking her right eye. The elderly man was irritated, he was about to rebuke Sydney, but he never got the chance as a chubby man, an elegant woman and a little boy came out from their house. “You’re here, big brother Eru”, Damian said with a jubilant tone before he ran straight towards Eru and hugged him with his tiny hands. “Haha, have you been well, Damian?” Eru rubbed Damian’s petite head. “Of course, it’s only been two days”, Damian grinned, his eyes squinted.
“How have you been, Mr Eru?” Duncan asked, “I hope you’ve been well.” The elegant woman, Diane, smiled, “Please, come in. We’re about to have breakfast soon.” Eru hesitated; he felt awkward receiving Diane’s invitation. Eru was about to refuse when Damian pulled his hand, “Come, come, big brother, let’s have breakfast together. After that, let’s play! I’ll show you around the house”, Damian cheerily said. Eru smiled bitterly, “Sure, sure”, he allowed himself to be pulled by Damian inside towards the mansion hidden behind a mall.

While Eru and Long had breakfast with Duncan and his family, the situation inside the mayor’s mansion was dire. The man with a curly moustache, the mayor, held his son tightly while Deddy, the bald son of the mayor, screamed in pain while a mechanical arm was attached to his severed right arm. “Argh!” Deddy yelled; his body was in massive pain as he tried to wiggle his body free from his father, the man with a curly moustache, hold. “Stay still, son”, the man with a curly moustache said, his heart wrenched in pain, looking at his pained son, “Soon, soon, it will all be over.”
The robed individual put even more power into his wooden staff. Because of that, the merger between the mechanical arm and Deddy’s severed right shoulder became smoother. Deddy struggled in pain, and the man with a curly moustache, the mayor, turned his head towards the robed individual, “How long?” The robed individual replied calmly, “Soon. Until then, prevent him from moving.” The man with a curly moustache scoffed, “What do you think I’ve been doing until now? Hurry up!” he shouted, struggling to hold his son, Deddy, down. After a thirty-minute struggle between father and son, the light from the robed individual finally dimmed down.
“It’s done”, the robed individual calmly said. Then, the man with a curly moustache observed his son. He found that the mechanical arm was attached perfectly into Deddy’s right shoulder. “Son, are you—” before the man with a curly moustache finished his sentence, his son, Deddy, fell unconscious immediately. “Do make sure that your son has plenty of energy left. The dangerous part of this transplant is not the attachment progress but the assimilation process”, the robed individual informed before suddenly disappearing from the room. The man with a curly moustache wanted to stop the robed individual, but he couldn’t seem to do so.
The man with a curly moustache then wiped the sweat from his son’s forehead before caressing it gently, “Don’t worry, my son. I’ll find out who did this to you and get revenge on your stead. For now, please try your best and recover”, he said with determined eyes.

After the robed individual disappeared from the mayor’s mansion, he appeared at the highest point in the city, the clock tower in the governmental district. The robed individual grabbed the edge of his cloak with both of his hands before pulling it down. His facial features were fully shown after he put down his cloak. His dazzling long red hair and his dark-coloured skin suggested that he was a descendant of the highlanders. The red-haired man took out a crystal ball before injecting mana into it. After a while, the crystal ball lit up brightly, nearly blinding the red-haired man. And after that, the figure of a familiar alluring woman appeared inside the crystal ball.
“What is it, Zemel?” the alluring woman replied while she sat on somebody’s lap. “Report, my lady Da Ji”, the red-haired, dark-skinned man, Zemel, saluted, “There’s a complication within our plan”, he reported. Inside the crystal ball, Da Ji frowned, “What do you mean?” she asked. “One of the seeds of abominations carrier had lost his arm; it has been cut off”, Zemel said solemnly. “So? What if he did have his arm cut off? What’s it gotta do with our plan?” Da Ji annoyingly looked at Zemel.
“It’s just that the seed hadn’t fully assimilated with our carrier. Because of that, the abomination power will significantly be reduced”, Zemel explained. “How much reduction are you talking about?” Da Ji squinted. “About a quarter. Should we remove the seed from him and plant it to another?” Zemel inquired. Da Ji pondered for a bit before shaking her head, “A quarter of a loss will be fine; you don’t need to remove it from him. Besides, with the Mad Titan and the Fierce Lion chasing after us, we don’t have a lot of time finding a suitable host.”
“Do you know the cause, Zemel?” Da Ji asked. “It seems that he lost in a duel, my lady”, Zemel replied, his face flat. Da Ji rubbed her chin, “Hmm, then I doubt our plan was discovered then. For safety measures, please guard the remaining carrier of abominations closely, Zemel.” Zemel nodded, “As you command, my lady.” After that, the crystal ball dimmed before its light was entirely gone. Zemel put away the crystal ball inside of his robe before squinting his eyes. After that, Zemel put up his cloak before disappearing from the clock tower.

Eru looked up to the sky, covering his eyes with his hand as the sunlight went straight at him. “I’m tired”, Eru sighed. After having breakfast with Duncan and his family, then he proceeded to play with Damian until eventually, the little boy fell asleep. “What a tiring morning”, Eru mumbled. Behind him stood Sydney, who hesitated on whether she should approach Eru or not. Then, she suddenly felt that someone had pushed her from behind. Sydney stumbled on her feet before her face crashed directly into Eru’s back.
Sydney held her nose in pain while Eru turned around, “Eh, Sydney? What are you doing?” Eru asked. After a second, Sydney finally realized what just happened to her, and her face slightly reddened, “I-I’m sorry, teacher, I stumbled on some rocks”, she let out an excuse. Then, Sydney looked behind her and found that a certain red-haired man was smirking at her. Sydney gritted her teeth; she was seething inside towards Long, who made things awkward between her and Eru. Sydney collected herself; she gathered courage inside of her before opening her mouth.
“Teacher, can I ask you a favour?” Sydney asked. “What is it?” Eru raised his eyebrow. “Will you train me again? I improved so much ever since you taught me back then”, Sydney said, her eyes sparkling. “Improve so much? It’s only been two days”, Eru quipped. “A-anyway, will you teach me again today?” Sydney asked, her eyes full of hope as she used them to stare at Eru. The latter sighed, “Fine. But only for today. After all, I’m still not comfortable teaching someone as I’m not strong enough”, he said.
Unbeknownst to them, Sydney’s father saw the interaction between his daughter and Eru. He thought that the two seemed to be a little closer than what he would’ve liked. “That rude bastard! Flirting in front of her old man, I’ve got to teach him a lesson,’ Sydney’s father thought inside of his head as he walked steadily towards Eru and Sydney. Then, before Sydney and Eru went away towards the training ground, Sydney’s father stopped them in their tracks. He drew the blade that strapped in his back.
