Inside Sylphid City’s mayor mansion, a man with a curly moustache bit his lips, “Why did those five take so long?” he said as sweat poured all over his face. Besides him stood a mysterious cloaked figure, standing stoically still. The mysterious cloaked figure clicked his tongue with disdain, “Be patient”, he said, his tone deep, “Those five won’t fail. I only picked the best from the best”, he assured. “But still”, the man with a curly moustache looked at the mysterious cloaked figure with trepidation in his eyes, “Do you have to send those five right now? I mean, the target is still inside one of the most influential people in the Silvan Empire. What if they got caught?”
“Don’t worry”, the mysterious figure said, “Those five won’t get caught so easily even if they failed. Even if they were caught, those five had been trained not to talk no matter what happened to them.” The man with a curly moustache scoffed silently, “I hope you’re right”, he mumbled as he paced back and forth inside of his office. The mysterious figure looked at the man with a moustache with disgust when he felt something was vibrating inside his pocket. “Stay here”, he said before leaving the man with a moustache alone in his office.
At the highest point of Sylphid City, on top of the clock tower, the mysterious figure appeared before putting down his cloaks. He took out a crystal from his pocket and found that said crystal was lighting up. The mysterious figure channelled his energy towards the crystal, activating it.
“Hello, Zemel. Long time no see”, a voice all too familiar to the mysterious figure could be heard after he activated the crystal. The mysterious figure, Zemel, knew the owner of the voice really well. He was someone that Zemel detested, yet Zemel could not help to respect his strength and wit. “You!” Zemel exclaimed with a shocked expression, “Why did you contact me? Where is lady Da Ji?” he asked with a frown. “No reason”, the man behind the voice, Taiboku, said with a snarky tone, “I just want to check on one of my favourite subordinates.”
“Me, your subordinates? Hah, dream on, bastard”, Zemel snorted. However, Taiboku did not get angry with Zemel’s remark. Instead, Taiboku just smirked, “Hahaha, that attitude of yours never change, huh, Zemel. That’s why I like you”, he taunted. After hearing Taiboku’s words, Zemel’s nerves twitched as slight anger began to rise within him. However, Zemel managed to hold himself back from lashing out. Instead, he spoke slowly to Taiboku, “Quit messing around. Let me ask you once again, what do you want?”
Taiboku chuckled, “Hah, you’re no fun”, he said, “I’m calling you to ask about how the plan is proceeding over there”, Taiboku casually said, “Any progress?” Zemel furrowed his eyebrows, “Why are you asking me this? Where’s lady Da Ji? I’m not talking about this with you.” Taiboku smiled, “Still loyal as always, eh, Zemel?” Taiboku let out a small laugh, “It’s okay, you can tell me about it. After all, aren’t we partners?” Taiboku said. “Oh, and Da Ji had already withdrawn from the operation because of the order from the higher up. Because of that, she handed both the operation”, Taiboku smirked, “Hereby, handing you over to me.”
“What!?” Zemel exclaimed, “You’re lying!” he shouted. “How could I lie to one of my favourite people? Actually, Da Ji had already handed you over to me yesterday”, Taiboku said nonchalantly. “Well”, Taiboku shrugged his shoulders, “If you look closely within yourself, you will find your mark had already been erased, Zemel”, he said. Zemel hurriedly checked himself, and just like Taiboku had said, the unique mark on his body had already been erased. Zemel’s eyes were filled with fury as he roared towards the sky, “What did you do!?” he was filled with rage.
“I did not do anything”, Taiboku said nonchalantly, making Zemel even more angry, “It’s all Da Ji. Erasing your mark, transferring you under me along with the abominations plan, they were all done by Da Ji.”
“Why? Why had she done this to me?” Zemel said, distraught. “It did not matter why. What matters now is that you are now my subordinates. Doesn’t matter how much I like you or you hate me; you belong to me now”, Taiboku tone changed, “So let me ask you once again, how is your progress?”

While Eru was recuperating inside Duncan’s mansion infirmary, Duncan and his army of guards were fighting against the five figures shrouded in black. “Guh”, Duncan grunted, “How can five men be this strong?” he exclaimed as he watched his men get decimated only by five people. Even his head guard, the dark-skinned highlander, Jon, was struggling. “Even if Jon had not fully recovered from his fight earlier, to think that those five could push him this far when we got him surrounded”, Duncan pondered, “How can mister Eru fought them earlier?” he said to himself.
Just as Duncan was pondering, a familiar figure shot through from behind him. A woman that looked similar to Jon, his daughter, Sydney, was charging headlong into the fray with her sabre held high. Sydney flared up her golden aura, “Father, here I come!” she shouted. “No, Sydney, don’t come here”, Jon yelled, but he was too late as Sydney was already engaging against one of the five figures shrouded in black. “Damn it, Sydney”, Jon grunted, “Everyone! Support Captain Sydney!” he barked. Sydney’s golden aura was dancing in the air as she swung her sabre towards one of the figures covered in black.
The figure covered in black easily avoided Sydney’s attack as another figure shrouded in black struck at Sydney. “Guh”, Sydney grunted as she slid backwards due to blocking the scimitar. “Heh, a little girl had come out and played with the men”, the figure shrouded in black taunted while swinging around his scimitar. “This one is mine; you all deal with the rest”, the figure covered in black barked to his squad. “You always hog the fun”, said another figure covered in black, “Fine, but you’ll owe us for this”, he said as he circled his teammate along with the other figures covered in black, preventing Duncan’s army of guards from interfering.
“Sydney!” Jon shouted; he tried rushing in towards his daughter. But one of the figures covered in black stopped him and swatted him away. “You will not disturb them”, he said while pointing his scimitar towards Jon. “You! Get out of my way!” Jon roared as he clashed swords against the figure covered in black.

“Argh”, Sydney was sent sliding backwards by one of the figures clad in complete black. “Is that all you’ve got, little missy?” the figure shrouded in black taunted, putting his scimitar on his shoulder. Provoked, Sydney gritted her teeth as she stood up and advanced towards her aggressor. “Rargh!” Sydney let out a battle cry as her golden-coloured aura surrounded and empowered her. However, no matter how much Sydney exerted her strength, she was vastly outclassed by the figure shrouded in complete black.
“Rah!” Sydney struck with all of her strength, but the figure clad in complete black easily dodged Sydney’s attack. “Heh, you shouldn’t join in when men are having their fun”, the figure shrouded in complete black provoked Sydney continuously, “You could’ve got hurt, like you are now, little miss weakling.” Sydney growled, “You bastard!” she roared in anger and frustration as she kept advancing towards the figure dressed in complete black. Sydney continued to attack the figure clad in complete black, but every time she did, she just got sent back due to the difference of power between them.
The figure dressed in complete black continued to ‘play’ with Sydney until she was beaten down, her armour in tatters as blood covered the majority of her body. Back outside the circle, when Jon saw that his daughter was badly wounded, he roared, “You bastard, get the hell out of my way!” However, no matter how much Jon tried, the figures completely dressed in black’s formation was too much for the injured Jon. “We heard that you are quite powerful. But, it looks like the rumours about you are exaggerated”, said one of the figures completely clad in black.
“You!” Jon gritted his teeth, ‘If only I wasn’t injured from my fight with the brat earlier, I could easily make swift cheese out of these guys. Damn it! Why now of all time!?’ Jon lamented within himself. Jon looked at his daughter and his men, that was completely beaten down by the four figures dressed in complete black, “Even if I die, I have to do this. For my daughter and my men, I’m going to use that”, determination flashed inside of Jon’s eyes.
“Chain Fire Blast!”
However, before Jon managed to do anything, he could hear a voice behind him followed by a flame chain, hitting all four figures clad in black one by one before exploding. The four figures clad in black’s formation broke because of it, and they looked at the emerging figures with wariness. “Who are you?” asked one of them as a red-haired man appeared from within the shadows.
“Me? I’m someone the likes of you can only look from below.”
