The armoured woman watched as the two students walked away from her. “And you”, the armoured woman turned towards Julian Albert, “You’re with me. We’re going mobile, manoeuvering around the battlefield and helping other squads”, she explained. Julian Albert nodded, “Yes, ma’am.” Julian Albert followed the armoured woman towards the edge of the barrier, “Haah”, he sighed. “What’s the matter, Julian? If you’re having second thoughts now, go back to the academy”, the armoured woman said.
Julian Albert shook his head, “No, it’s not like that. Of course, I’m afraid; we’re all afraid. But, why did the monstrous creatures have to attack now? Why did they have to attack when the seniors and the instructors are all gone?” he pondered. The armoured woman furrowed her eyebrows after hearing Julian Albert’s questioning, “Now that you said it like that, it did feel a little suspicious that they would attack the time where the instructors were not in the academy.” Julain Albert raised his head, “Right? If only they were here, we could’ve easily repelled these monstrous invaders”, Julian Albert said while clenching his fist.
Suddenly, the barrier shook once again, sending tremors inside because of the monstrous creatures constant assault. The armoured woman bit her lips, “Damn it! Can these creatures wait for a while!?” she muttered. After that, the armoured woman stood in front of her soldiers, “Men!” she shouted, “We’re about to do it again, into the jaws of death. And this time, I’m afraid it will not go as smoothly as last time. Are you prepared to leave your name in the books of history for saving one of the country’s prestigious academies? To lay down your life so that the younger generation will survive?” The armoured woman’s soldiers all raised their arms, “Yes, we are prepared” they spoke with unison and determination in their voices.
The armoured woman nodded, “Good. Then, let us leave our name in the annals of history as we take butchered the invader before us!” the armoured woman raised her sword. She pointed her sword at the monstrous creatures as the barrier opened up like a cone, “Kill!” she barked, her voice full of killing intent. “Shaaaa!” the soldiers let out a battle cry as they marched towards the advancing monstrous creatures. “Get into formation, men!” the armoured woman barked, “Don’t let any of these motherfuckers approach the academy!”
After that, the armoured woman turned her head back, “Julian Albert, follow me”, she said as she rushed towards the enemy. Julian Albert nodded before following the armoured woman advance. The soldiers fought valiantly against the monstrous creatures. Coupled with the addition from the academy students, the soldiers could deal with the monstrous creatures more efficiently. The support that the armoured woman gave the soldiers before was now was filled with the academy students. Because of the latter, the soldiers now had support from long range.
The armoured woman, along with Julian Albert, roamed the battlefield, helping the struggling squad of soldiers and raising their morale. The armoured woman’s tactics worked wonders for keeping the monstrous creatures away against the academy. “Don’t let up!” the armoured woman shouted while killing a monstrous creature that resembled a baboon, “Don’t let them pass. Even if you die, at least take one of them with you.”
Julian Albert already panted, he clutched his chest, but he continued moving, ‘Is this what it felt like when you’re in a war? How can these people not be exhausted already?’ Julian Albert thought in his head while watching the armoured woman roaming the battlefield. The armoured woman looked back, “Julian Albert, what are you doing? If you’re going to just stand there, move your fucking arse!” she barked while fending off an attack from a monstrous creature. Julian Albert quickly woke up from his stupor, “Yes, ma’am!” he replied.
The fighting between the monstrous creatures and the armoured woman along with her soldiers went by. The armoured woman’s side had the upper hand at first, but as time went on, the endless wave of monstrous creatures caused fatigue to the armoured woman and her squad of soldiers. The red-haired woman smiled when she saw that her forces of monstrous creatures had already overwhelmed the armoured woman and her soldiers. “Heh”, the red-haired woman snickered, “I was about to leave you guys alone and gave you guys times, but thanks to that gestures of yours, Helga, I’m going to make sure you’ll be dead and buried today”, she muttered with visible killing intent.
The armoured woman blocked the attack from a monstrous creature before parrying it away. “Now, Julian Albert!” the armoured woman barked. Julian Albert nodded his head, “Right”, he replied as a magic circle appeared in front of him. “Wind Blade!” Julian Albert chanted. Then, a sharp gust of wind emerged from Julian Albert’s green magic circle. Julian Albert’s Wind Blade managed to hit the monstrous creature in the eyes, blinding it and making it roar in pain. “Burn”, the armoured woman softly chanted at her sword before slashing the monstrous creature into two.
The monstrous creature’s corpse fell to the ground before it was burned to ashes by the armoured woman’s spell. “Let’s go! There are others that need our help”, the armoured woman said towards Julian Albert. “Yes, ma’am”, Julian Albert replied before following the armoured woman. However, on their way to another squad, a monstrous creature that resembled a gazelle jumped between the armoured woman and Julian Albert. The armoured woman clicked her tongue, “Fuck!” she cursed.
“Go away, you ugly creature!” the armoured woman yelled, but the monstrous creature ignored her and proceeded to attack Julian Albert. “Defend yourself, Julian Albert!” the armoured woman shouted while pursuing the gazelle-like monstrous creature. Julian Albert gritted his teeth; he then proceeded to point his wand at the advancing gazelle-like monstrous creature. “Come at me, ya bastard!” Julian Albert shouted as he braced himself to face the gazelle-like monstrous creature.

On Sylphid City’s entrance, a crowd of people could be seen preparing themselves for their journey or quest. Among the crowd of people, one could see a bright red-haired young man talking to another young man with raven-coloured hair. Those two were, of course, Long and Eru.
“Is that all we needed?” Long asked while strapping his backpack on his back. “Yep”, Eru replied, “I think that’s all we need.” Sydney, that was beside them, sheathed her sword after checking it, “I’m ready, teacher.” Eru nodded towards Sydney before turning his head at a certain redhead, “How about your side, Cina?” Cina looked at her squad, “Are you all ready, squad?” Cina’s adventurers’ squad that consists of 10 people, nodded their heads, “We believe we are ready”, they answered in unison. Cina looked at Eru, “You heard what they said. We’re ready”, she informed.
“How about your subordinates, Sydney?” Eru inquired. Then, Sydney looked back at her three ‘subordinates’. They sent a thumbs up at Sydney, “We’re ready whenever you are, young lady”, they said with a smile. Sydney sighed while shaking her head, “I’m sorry about this, teacher. My father insisted that I bring these three if I want to follow you.” Eru flashed a smile, “What are you apologizing for? If I were your father, I would’ve done the same as this trip will be dangerous.”
Then, Eru furrowed his eyebrows, “I will ask you one more time. Are you sure you want to follow me, Sydney?” Eru asked with a serious tone in his voice. Sydney nodded, “I’m sure.” Eru shook his head, “You don’t understand, Sydney. This is my mission. And you coming with me will put yourself in a line of danger.” Sydney smiled, “I’m well aware of the risk, teacher. Besides, you let this guy follow you”, she pointed at Long. Eru sighed, “You know that Long is different. He persistently followed me back from Gale without asking for my permission.” Sydney’s smile became even brighter, “Then I will just follow his example. If you don’t mind him, surely you won’t mind me, right, teacher? Or are you sexist and don’t want any women to follow you?”
Eru flinched, and Long chuckled after hearing this, “Hahaha, she got you there, brother Eru. Why don’t you let her follow you? I mean, she is already here, after all. If you want to stop her, you should’ve done it back at the mansion.” Eru’s eyes twitched, “You know what, do what you want”, Eru said while scratching the back of his head with frustration.
Eru shook his head; he stepped forward ahead of everybody, “Alright, if everyone is ready, we will depart now. From what we were told, the requester is probably facing a life and death situation right about now. So time is of the essence. Thankfully, Sylpid Academy was nearby, and it would not take us long to arrive there. This will be an important mission that will decide the life and death of everyone in the academy.” After that, Eru turned his back towards the road. Pointing his right arm forward, he shouted, “We march!”
