“What the hell was that!?” Sydney exclaimed when she saw the scene in front of her. “No wonder they asked for reinforcements. A small squadron of 12 soldiers will not be able to handle this much”, Long said while watching the legions of monstrous creatures that were attacking a small group of soldiers. Cina gulped, “Those group of soldiers are amazing. How can they hold on for so long against those monstrosities?” Eru shook his head, “It did not matter how. Right now, they need our help. We got to hurry up.” Eru said.
The rest of Eru’s party all nodded their heads, “Right.” After that, they hurriedly ran through the plains, approaching the monstrous creatures with haste. “Hmm?” the red-haired woman felt several presences were coming her way, “Reinforcements?” she furrowed her eyebrows. The red-haired woman squinted her eyes, “Does not look like from the army. Is it the adventurers then?” the red-haired woman pondered. Then, the red-haired woman pursed her lips and smiled, “As you would expect from Zebulon’s relative, they are all incompetent. Good thing madam Da Ji place me here secretly then.”
After that, the red-haired woman stepped backwards while Eru and his party were approaching closer and closer to her. “I’ll withdraw for now. It’s a shame for this batch of creatures, but It looks like this is not the time yet. You’re lucky, Helga Stormwind”, the red-haired woman muttered before disappearing from the site. It’s not only the red-haired woman that noticed Eru and his party, the armoured woman that was fighting against the monstrous creatures also noticed them.
But, the armoured woman could not deduce whether they were from the army or not. Nevertheless, her spirit was lifted when she saw a slight glimpse of hope in Eru and his party. The armoured woman raised her head after stabbing a monstrous creature to death, “Rejoice everybody. Reinforcements has come!” she shouted with all of her might. The faces of the soldiers around the armoured woman had their expression brightened up, “Yeah!” they yelled with joy as their spirits were lifted up. “Push through men!” the armoured woman barked as she pointed her sword towards the monstrous creatures. The armoured woman squinted her eyes, “That’s not the army”, the armoured woman sighed, “So the army had given up on us, huh?” she muttered.
Upon watching the re-envigorated, re-energized soldiers, Eru and his party moved even quicker into the fray. “Charge!” Cina shouted before jumping to a gigantic monstrous creature that was in front of her. She brandished her sabre and stabbed it on its neck, “Die!” Cina yelled as the monstrous creature’s blood spurted on her face. “What a fierce woman….” Long smiled as he, too, charged forward to meet the monstrous creatures with his staff in hand. Not willing to lose out, Sydney too brandished her sabre, “I’m joining the fray”, she muttered as her yellow-coloured aura coated her blade. She swung her sabre, cutting one of the monstrous creatures head off.
Eru unsheathed his black sword, “We don’t want to lose out, right, Buddy?” The black sword in his hand vibrated vigorously as it let out a black hue. “Rargh!” Eru shouted, letting out a battle cry before enveloping Buddy with his raven-coloured aura before swinging his sword at the enemy. Eru also amplified his strength with Eruken and swung his black sword horizontally, cleaving several monstrous creatures in halves. The armoured woman, her soldiers, Sydney, along with her bodyguard and Cina along with the adventurers, all gawked out after seeing what Eru had done.
“What the hell—” they all exclaimed in unison. The armoured woman furrowed her eyebrows; she squinted her eyes and observed Eru carefully, “Who is he?’ she pondered with curiosity in her eyes. “Huh?” noticing the others’ stare, Eru slightly tilted his head, “What? Is there something wrong with me?” Cina sighed, “Uh, nothing.” Long let out a small chuckle, “As expected from a fellow Dragon”, Long exclaimed, “As a red dragon, I will not lose in ferocity.” After Long had said that, he slid through the ground like there was no friction in it before spinning his staff in the air.
A large, red magic circle appeared in the air as Long’s body erupted with power. “Spear of Agni”, Long softly chanted. Then, a massive spear made of flames emerged from the red magic circle before heading straight at a group of monstrous creatures. *Boom* with a bang, the ground exploded, and the monstrous creatures were blasted apart by Long’s spell. Because of that, Long received the same reactions Eru had earlier as many gawked in surprise upon seeing his prowess. “Who the hell are these two?” the armoured woman’s eyes squinted after watching the two young men in her field of vision.
Eru clicked his tongue, “Tch, show off.” Long smirked, “I’m just following you”, Long quipped. Eru smiled while shaking his head, “Following me? Think you can?” Eru taunted while casually killing another monstrous creature. “Go ahead”, Long grinned, spinning his staff before swinging it at a large monstrous creature’s leg, causing the latter to crash down to the ground. After that, Long pointed his staff at the fallen monstrous creature, “Burn”, he softly said as the tip of his staff burst out with flames, charring the large monstrous creature alive.
The others in Eru’s party watched the two young men cleaved through the army of monstrous creatures like they were cutting weeds. Like a hot knife through butter, the army of monstrous creatures got utterly crushed by just Eru and Long. Someone from Cina’s adventurers’ party approached her and whispered, “Are we really necessary for this?”
Cina gawked before clicking her tongue, “Looks like it”, she sighed, “I thought Eru was bragging when he said that he and his friend were enough for this. Turns out he was right.” Then, Cina turned around to her adventurer’s party, “Come on guys, we don’t want to lose out, right?” After that, Cina and her adventurer’s party charged forward towards the legion of monstrous creatures with their weapons held high.

Not long after Eru and his party arrived, the horde of monstrous creatures that were attacking the academy was dealt with quickly and efficiently by the joint venture of the adventurers and the army. After clearing the scene with her subordinates, the armoured woman approached Eru. She cupped her hand and bowed her head slightly,
“Thank you very much for your help”, The armoured woman bowed her head slightly, her words filled with sincerity. Eru nodded, “Your welcome”, he replied with a smile. The armoured woman raised her head, “I take it you’re from the Adventurers Guild?” she inquired.
“Yes”, Eru replied. The armoured woman rubbed her chin, “Strange. I have never seen you before. Are you new?” Eru shook his head, “I’m not part of Sylphid City’s Adventurers Guild if that what you’re asking” Eru explained, “I’m an adventurer, yes, but I don’t belong in Sylphid’s branch.” After that, Eru took out something from his pocket. “What’s that?” the armoured woman’s eyes squinted as she looked at the envelope in Eru’s hand. “Take it”, Eru extended his hand, giving the envelope to the armoured woman, “It’s from the guild master. I presume you are Syndra, yes?”
The armoured woman received the envelope from Eru, “I am, yes.” While opening the letter slowly, the armoured woman looked at Eru, “I assume Alexandro told you about me?” Eru nodded, “Yup.” The armoured woman sighed, “I hope he did not tell you only bad things about me.” Eru smiled while shaking his head, “Actually, he seemed to worry about you a lot.” The armoured woman pursed her lips, “I know. He’s such a worrywart.” The armoured woman finally opened up the complicated envelope in her hands before taking out a paper that contained Alexandro, the guild master’s writing.
The armoured woman took her time reading her husband handwriting, and not long after, her face turned grim. The armoured woman raised her head and stared at Eru intensely, “Are this all true?” she asked. “What is?” Eru replied while frowning. “What my husband wrote in this letter, are these all true?” The armoured woman showed the letter to Eru, in which he skimmed past it quickly. What Eru read was consistent with what Alexandro had told him before he departed, except with the ‘love you’ part at the end. Eru nodded his head, “Yes, it’s all true. He said it to me himself before I came here that the mayor had been planning something.”
The armoured woman furrowed her eyebrows, “If that’s so, then we need to hurry back.” Eru shook his head, “No”, Eru shook his head, “The guild master told me not to come back until the entire matter with Sylphid Academy was done. He suspected that the attack on the academy and what the mayor was planning is connected somehow.” The armoured woman gritted her teeth, “That’s all the more reason we need to go back.” Eru sighed, “Look, I know you are worried for your husband, and I get it; you’re the army commander of Sylphid City. But, your husband, the adventurer’s guild master, had a plan. Why don’t you trust your husband more and read the next letter in the envelope?”
