A woman and a bald man were seen running in a dark alleyway. “Hah, hah, hah, hah, hah,” they panted hard. “How about we rest for a while?” the bald man suggested to the woman, but the latter shook her head, “No. We can’t afford to rest here. If we don’t hurry up, those guys will find us.” However, just as the words left the woman’s mouth, she saw a knife thrown towards her. “Watch out!” the bald man yelled, brandishing his sword; the bald man managed to block the knife using his sabre. “Tch, these guys just won’t give up!” the bald man pursed his lips before moving in front of the woman with a sabre in his hand. The woman and the bald man saw four men dressed in complete black appear in front of them.
“You guys had run far enough. Time to face your maker”, said one of the men dressed in black. “Hah”, the bald man scoffed, “Try it if you can.” The woman took out her wand, “I’ll help you.” The four men dressed in black let out a mocking laugh, “Tonight, both of you die here”, they all said in unison. But, just as the four men dressed in black were about to attack, a terrifying pressure hit them, causing their knees to slightly buckle. “Who dares!” barked one of the men dressed in black. Then, a figure fell down from the sky, separating the woman and the bald man from the four men dressed in black.
“You—” the woman exclaimed when she saw the figure that fell down from the sky. “Yo, May”, the figure greeted the woman without turning, “Have you been fine these past two days?” The woman heaved a sigh of relief, “I’m quite well, guild master”, the woman, May, replied with a smile. The bald man had a complicated expression when he saw the man in front of him. After not speaking for a second, the bald man finally decided to open his mouth, “Guild master”, he bowed slightly. “We’ll talk later. I’ll finish off these rats first”, the guild master, Alexandro, said with a wicked smile as his aura flared up uncontrollably.

The next morning, Eru and Syndra stood in front of a small but elite group. That group consisted of powerful members from the adventurers guild alongside Syndra’s subordinates. From time to time, Syndra glanced at Eru with a hateful and competitive gaze, causing Eru to feel a little bit uncomfortable. Eru sighed, “Can you please stop?” Eru said to Syndra while scratching the back of his head. “Humph”, Syndra sulked as she quickly turned away, “If I make you uncomfortable, good. That’s my revenge from last night”, she said while pouting. Eru sighed once again before shifting his attention elsewhere.
The armoured woman coughed a little, “Right. I’m sure you all know the reason you were gathered here”, she said. The armoured woman looked at the people from the Eru’s party, Cina, Sydney and Long. Then, the armoured woman shifted her gaze to her own subordinates, the blue-haired girl, Amy, along with two burly soldiers accompanying her. The armoured woman continued, “You all have been chosen as a few elite individuals that will join the two of us in counter-attacking against the enemy.”
“You all knew that previously, the academy had been attacked by monstrous creatures that intended to destroy us completely. The headmaster requested us to do a joint venture with the adventurers to strike at the heart of the enemy”, the armoured woman said passionately. “However, as you all know, we cannot bring a lot of manpower in case the monstrous creatures decide to attack the academy again. Because of that, we, a small but elite group, needed to end things once and for all”, the armoured woman added.
“For this operation, we are splitting you all into two groups. It will be a mix between the adventurers and the soldiers”, the armoured woman explained. After that, the armoured woman continued to tell the people there about the plan and how the expedition would work. The armoured woman nodded, “Right, is there any question about it?” the armoured woman glanced at the adventurers and the soldiers. After she saw that no one had raised their hands, the armoured woman crossed her arms, “Okay, we will depart in half an hour.” The armoured woman nodded before leaving with the Long, Cina, and one of the burly soldiers that were accompanying the blue-haired girl.
Eru looked at his new teammates and smiled, “I guess you three are joining me here” he paused as he scanned the people around him. “So, before we started, would you like to introduce yourself to each other?” Eru suggested. The blue-haired girl nodded slightly, “Hello, everyone, I’m Amy, the vice-commander of 17th battalion of Sylphid City’s army”, the blue-haired girl, Amy, said with a gentle smile. After Amy, the burly soldier stepped forward and properly saluted, “I am Nadhir, a soldier from the 17th battalion of Sylphid City’s army. Pleasure.”
Then, Eru looked at Sydney, “Aren’t you going to introduce yourself to them?” Sydney nodded, “My name is Sydney, captain of D/D group private guard. Pleased to make your acquaintances.” Eru smiled; he looked at the three of his new teammates and nodded, “I’m pleased to work with you all. My name is Eru, and I’ll be one of the leaders of this expedition. A few things to know about me, I’m an adventurer in pilgrimage, so this mission is part of my pilgrimage task. Because of that, I will be giving my all for this. Anything you wish to tell me, please feel free to do so.” After hearing Eru, the blue-haired girl, Amy, and the burly soldier, Nadhir, gasped in surprise while Sydney had a smug look on her face.
Eru saw the blue-haired girl and the burly soldier’s expressions before and could not help but sigh in expiration. “I knew I should not reveal that information. Damn it, Syndra. I knew she suggested it to me on purpose”, he mumbled softly while scratching his head. After that, Eru and his new party proceeded to get to know each other and familiarized themselves with each other abilities. Then, after a while, Eru and his party proceeded to exit the academy. Once they were at the entrance, they met the armoured woman along with Long, Cina and the other burly soldier. The armoured woman’s gaze met Eru, “Are you ready to depart?” she asked. Eru nodded, “Yes, we are. The sooner we leave, the better it is.”
The armoured woman nodded in agreement. She looked at Eru and said, “Once we’re done with this, I would like to request another spar.” Eru chuckled, “Sure, sure. Whenever and wherever I’m ready. After all, that was our agreement.” The armoured woman pursed her lips, “Don’t get too cocky. The result will be different from last time”, she said. “I’m looking forward to it”, Eru replied with a smile. Then, the armoured woman walked forward before turning around, “Are you guys ready to depart?” The adventurers and the soldiers replied in unison, “Yes!” The armoured woman hummed, “Right, on we go”, she said before leading the party.

Coast Forest was a place known to people as a den of monsters. As a dangerous place that was close to civilization, Coast Forest was an anomaly in the Silvan Kingdom. Except for the border area, not many places dangerous to civilization were allowed by the government to exist. Usually, Silvan Kingdom would send an expedition squad to lower the general threat to the public. Of course, the 10 forbidden areas were not included in those list because Silvan Kingdom would use too many resources to clean those areas.
Right now, inside of Coast Forest lies a bunker made entirely of unknown materials. Said bunker housed a certain red-haired woman, Zhu Rong, alongside her monstrous creatures that were ready to attack at any given moment. The red-haired woman put on her black cloak before walking down the stairs. Before her, Zhu Rong faced a giant steel door with something growling behind it. The red-haired woman walked closer to the giant steel door before stopping right in front of it. As if sensing the red-haired woman’s presence, the creature behind the massive steel door growled even louder.
Zhu Rong furrowed her eyebrows; she slammed the giant steel door with her foot, “Shut up!” she shouted. Then, Zhu Rong put herself closer to the massive steel door, “Be patient. Soon, your turn will come. And once it did, I will let you wreak havoc as much as you want”, she said to the creature behind the giant steel door. The creature then growled with a hint of happiness in its voice, making Zhu Rong grin a little. Suddenly, the red-haired woman furrowed her eyebrows before the tip of her lips curled up into a small smile, “It looks like you don’t have to wait for long. We got some company upstairs.”
