Just a few miles from Sylphid Academy and a few kilometres from Sylphid City lies a forest so dense that one could get lost in it if they were not careful. That forest was called Coast Forest by the locals, and its name is stuck until today.
Coast Forest was a place known to people as a den of monsters. As a dangerous place that was close to civilization, Coast Forest was an anomaly in the Silvan Kingdom. Except for the border area, not many places dangerous to civilization were allowed by the government to exist. Usually, Silvan Kingdom would send an expedition squad to lower the general threat to the public. Of course, the 10 forbidden areas were not included in those lists because the Silvan Kingdom would use too many resources to clean those areas.
Right now, inside of Coast Forest lies a bunker made entirely of unknown materials. Said bunker housed a certain red-haired woman, Zhu Rong, alongside her monstrous creatures that were ready to attack at any given moment. The red-haired woman put on her black cloak before walking down the stairs. Before her, Zhu Rong faced a giant steel door with something growling behind it. The red-haired woman walked closer to the giant steel door before stopping right in front of it. As if sensing the red-haired woman’s presence, the creature behind the massive steel door growled even louder.
Zhu Rong furrowed her eyebrows; she slammed the giant steel door with her foot, “Shut up!” she shouted. Then, Zhu Rong put herself closer to the massive steel door, “Be patient. Soon, your turn will come. And once it did, I will let you wreak havoc as much as you want”, she said to the creature behind the giant steel door. The creature then growled with a hint of happiness in its voice, making Zhu Rong grin a little. Suddenly, the red-haired woman furrowed her eyebrows before the tip of her lips curled up into a small smile, “It looks like you don’t have to wait for long. We got some company upstairs.”

A few minutes earlier, Eru and the armoured woman’s party arrived at the bunker in the middle of Coast Forest. The expressions on Eru, the armoured woman and the others turned serious once they were near the bunker. “Be careful, everyone”, the armoured woman said, “Don’t let your guard down even for a second. Always watch your back, and your safety is the priority”, she warned. The party all nodded their heads as their awareness increased by another level. The armoured woman continued, “Let us group up according to the arrangement we’ve made previously. Stick together before we entered the bunker and only split up once we’re inside it. No matter what happens, don’t separate yourself from the group.”
“According to our info, the bunker’s surface is pretty much empty, and there are stairs that led down. There are multiple levels within the bunker; because of that, we need to split up. Kill every monstrous creature that you’ve found. Understood?” the armoured woman added. “Yes, ma’am”, the soldiers replied while the adventurers nodded their heads. After that, Eru and the armoured woman led the expedition party into the bunker. Once inside, the armoured woman furrowed her eyebrows, “Ready yourself, people. It is going to get dangerous from here”, she warned.

The party first explored the bunker’s surface first. The empty-wide space was eyecatching at first, but when they found that there was nothing here, the armoured woman waved his hand, “First floor is clear. Let’s move on!” she barked. Eru and the others nodded their heads as they followed the armoured woman downstairs. They began to descend the stairs slowly but carefully. Eventually, the party arrived at the first underground level of the bunker. The armoured woman scanned her surroundings and found that the first underground level of the bunker was quite bigger than the bunker’s surface level.
“This floor is where we split up. We’ll meet here in half an hour, be sure to keep an eye out for time”, the armoured woman, Syndra, said before splitting up with her own group. Eru looked at his teammates, “Okay, since Syndra and her team went east, we’ll go west. I’m not really well-versed in tactics like Syndra is, but don’t separate from each other,” Eru said. Eru team members nodded their heads, and the soldiers saluted, “Yes, sir!” the blue-haired girl and the burly soldier said in unison. Then, Eru and his party began to explore the west side of the first underground level of the bunker.
Eru and his party only found long, black corridors. The corridors did not have any light, and because of that, the blue-haired girl needed to use her flashlight. The burly soldier offered to use his, but Amy rejected it and insisted on using her own flashlight instead. Because of that, Amy led in front of the group, leading them as they explored the west side of the first underground level. As Eru and his party explored the place, they found that there were empty cages everywhere they walked. The blue-haired girl, Amy, furrowed her eyebrows, “Strange”, she mumbled.
“Hmm? What is it, Amy?” Eru asked. Amy turned to look at Eru, “From what the student told us about the bunker, there was nothing like this when he and his friends were exploring the bunker”, she explained. “Hmm”, Eru rubbed his chin, “That is indeed strange. What else did that student say? I remembered that he only said there was the surface level and the bottom level, right?” Eru pondered. Amy nodded, “Yes. He said that there was a large, empty, dark hall with lanterns on the wall.” Eru squinted his eyes, “Maybe that student was being led on purpose. If that’s the case, then we truly walked into the opponents’ trap.”
Then, Eru turned his body around, “Listened up, everyone” he raised his voice loud enough so that his party members could hear him. “I just found out that the information given to us is not complete. The layout of the bunker differs from our information. Because of that, please raise your awareness to the next level and be extra careful with your steps. Don’t ever separate, no matter what happens. Got it?” Eru barked. Eru’s party members all nodded in agreement before they proceeded to explore the western part of the first underground level.
Eru and his party explored the western side of the first underground level for a while before they heard something was growling from around them. Eru and his party immediately tensed up, “Draw your weapons, everybody”, the blue-haired girl, Amy, shouted immediately. The growled was getting closer and closer, making Eru and his party become even more wary. “Back facing each other”, the blue-haired girl shouted immediately, as her experience as a vice commander fully showed itself. Eru raised his eyebrows in surprise, “Huh, she’s not just a pretty face”, he mumbled while heightening his senses.
Suddenly, Eru picked up that something was coming towards him and his party fast from the east. “Incoming from the east!” Eru immediately shouted. Eru and his party swiftly shifted their bodies towards the east with the blue-haired woman stepping back behind Eru, the burly soldier and Sydney. Not long after that, the one that was coming fast at Eru and his party showed its appearance. A large, human-like body with a hunchback with the head of a wolf was rapidly charging straight at Eru and his party with intense killing intent. The burly soldier silently grunted while Sydney had a shocked expression on her face.
“What the hell is that!?” Sydney yelled while her blade was pointing at the charging creature. The burly soldier clicked his tongue, “Warewolf”, he said with a sombre tone, “Be careful! That thing is fast!” he warned. Just as soon as the burly soldier words came out of his mouth, the werewolf was already in front of Eru and his party. “Shit!” the burly soldier cursed, then he raised his shield, preparing to block the werewolf’s attack. The werewolf used its large claw to swipe at Eru and his party. The burly soldier was prepared to get blown back from the werewolf attack, but the former’s claw did not manage to reach him.
Instead, the burly soldier found that Eru was already blocking the werewolf claw with his black sword. Then, the burly soldier saw Eru deliver a kick to its chest, sending the werewolf flying backwards. Eru landed gracefully right in front of the burly soldier, “Don’t try to face that thing head-on. It’s quite powerful”, Eru warned as he was feeling sore just by blocking the werewolf’s attack. Sydney and the others’ expressions turned serious. They all gripped their weapons tightly before the blue-haired girl shouted, “Get into formation like we spoke about earlier.”
Sydney and the burly soldier then stick close to the blue-haired girl while Eru stands in front of them. After they formed their formation, a figure could be seen walking from within the darkness into them. “Arrowhead formation, huh” a hoarse voice could be heard from that direction. “Who are you?” Sydney asked with a loud tone. “Who am I? Hehehehe”, the figure revealed itself, and sure enough, it was the werewolf. Eru and his party had shocked expressions on their faces as they watched the werewolf lowered his stance. It got in all fours before its mouth opened wide, “I’m the one who will defeat all of you!”
