A few minutes earlier, while Eru was being attacked constantly by the werewolf using its high-speed attacks, the trio of the blue-haired girl, Amy, the injured burly soldier, Nadhir, and the dark-skinned woman, Sydney, were running for their lives. The trio ran east, towards the direction of the armoured woman’s team. After running for a while, the trio finally found the armoured woman and her team. The blue-haired girl’s eyes widened in surprise when she saw that the armoured woman and her team were surrounded by multiple monstrous creatures.
“Commander Syndra!” the blue-haired girl, Amy, exclaimed when she saw the armoured woman. “Amy, what are you doing here?” the armoured woman asked while swiping away an attack from a monstrous creature that resembled a goblin, but it had fur all over its body. “We ran into some trouble and hoping to rejoin you guys”, Sydney explained. Then, the blue-haired girl turned towards her party members, “We’ll chat later. First, we need to help commander Syndra in dealing with the monstrous creatures.” Sydney and the burly soldier, Nadhir, nodded.
“Then, I’ll charge first!” Nadhir said as he brandished his sword and shield before attacking the monstrous creatures. Previously, when Sydney, Amy, and Nadhir were running, Sydney gave Nadhir a health potion. Because of that, Nadhir’s arm was somewhat recovered, although not fully. At least, Nadhir could lift his arm and wield a weapon. The armoured woman nodded when she saw that her soldier was brave enough to charge at the enemy. The armoured woman pointed her sword towards the monstrous creatures, “Follow Nadhir! Charge!”

The armoured woman pulled her sword from a monstrous creature’s abdomen before the latter fell to the ground, lifeless and deader than dead. The blue-haired girl heaved a sigh of relief, “Are you okay, big sis?” The armoured woman knocked the blue-haired girl on her head, “Don’t call me big sis when we’re outside”, she said. “Ouch”, the blue-haired girl rubbed her head, “I’m sorry, commander.” The blue-haired girl let out her tongue and pouted at the armoured woman. Syndra could only shake her head at the blue-haired girl’s antics. After observing her surroundings, Sydney approached the armoured woman and frowned, “Where is Long?” she asked.
The armoured woman was about to answer, but Cina spoke first, “He fucking left us”, she said with a hint of anger and annoyance on her face. The armoured woman sighed in exasperation, “To be fair to him, Long only left because he followed a powerful enemy that we could not defeat. And right after he left, we were surrounded by these guys”, the armoured woman explained. “Strong enemies?” Sydney furrowed her eyebrows, “We encountered a strong enemy too.” The armoured woman observed the blue-haired girl and her party, “So that’s why that cheeky brat is not with you”, she said after looking around.
“Yes, commander”, the blue-haired girl nodded, “We got to hurry and save him”, she persuaded. The armoured woman stood in silence for a while, rubbing her chin; she pondered for a moment before speaking, “If that’s the case, then we’re in a dilemma” the armoured woman furrowed her eyebrows. “How so?” the blue-haired girl slightly tilted her head. The armoured woman sighed, approaching Amy; the armoured woman lightly knocked her on the head, “Ouch! What was that for?” Amy looked at the armoured woman with a grievance. The armoured woman shook her head, “Amy, please, think about it for a second.”
The blue-haired girl frowned, “I am thinking.” The armoured woman took a deep breath, “Look. Previously, we split into two teams, right?’ The blue-haired girl nodded, “And?” The armoured woman continued, “And among those two teams, there are now two different members missing from each group.” The blue-haired girl squinted her eyes before an imaginary light bulb appeared on top of her tiny head, “I get it now. Since two people are missing, if we want to find them both quickly, we need to separate again.” The armoured woman nodded, “That’s right. And I did not need to mention it right, why separating again was a bad idea?”
“Yes, yes. Big sis is so smart”, the blue-haired girl praised with a genuine smile. The armoured woman sighed in exasperation. She could not get mad no matter what the blue-haired girl did after seeing her sincere smile. The armoured woman lowered her head, “From the start, splitting into two teams was a bad idea after all”, she mumbled, “What should we do?” the armoured woman thought very hard. Before the armoured woman found a solution, however, Cina stepped forward. “Why don’t we try finding Eru first? After all, he’s one of the leaders of this expedition.” Sydney shook her head, “I don’t think searching for Teacher first is the right move. After all, he is strong, and if we are near him, we’re just going to be a burden to him.”
The armoured woman looked at Sydney, “So, you’re saying that we should find the red-haired scholarly-like young man first?” Sydney nodded, “Yes, we need to find Long first.” Cina interrupted the two and said, “Why is that? Didn’t Eru say that Long is almost as strong as him? If that’s the case, we’re better with finding Eru first.” Sydney shifted her gaze at Cina, “Look, I know you’re worried about my teacher, but he can handle himself just fine. It’s Long that I’m worried about.” The armoured woman furrowed her eyebrows, “Can precisely tell me why you’re that worried about that red-haired young man?”
Sydney hesitated before she finally opened her mouth, “I just felt it, okay? We’ve got this weird ability within our families that we can somewhat sense something from within a person. My father said to me that the young man called Long is dangerous. He said Long is like a wildfire that cannot be tamed or extinguished. I also agreed with my father as the first time I met him, Long was brutal in dealing with his enemies, and if Teacher did not stop him, he would’ve burned a whole forest.” Cina scoffed, “What the hell have you been smoking, lady? We should be going after Eru first, then we can look for Long.”
Cina then stared at Sydney, “You said it yourself; if Eru did not stop him, Long could have burned a while forest by himself. If it took Eru to stop him, what chance do we have against him?” Cina argued. The armoured woman nodded, “She’s got a point there, Sydney. If only Eru could stop him, what chance did we have? You all know that Eru is several times stronger than us, right? Besides, why are you emphasizing this matter too much? Shouldn’t you, as his student, be saving your teacher first?” Sydney lowered her head before letting out a sigh, “I just got a bad feeling, that’s all.”
The armoured woman shook her head. Then, she looked at the others, “So, we all agree that we should go to Eru first?” All the people there nodded their heads, “Good”, the armoured woman said, “Then, let us—” Before the armoured woman could finish her sentence, however, the room around her shook violently all of a sudden. “W-what the hell?” the armoured woman exclaimed while trying her best to regain her balance. Not long after, the armoured woman, the blue-haired girl, the two burly soldiers, Sydney and Cina, heard a loud, otherworldy roar from the east direction. Immediately after that, a wisp of red-coloured energy could be seen flying around them.
“This is—” Sydney watched the red energy fly across her. Then, suddenly an immense pressure washed over her and the others, making them kneel down. The pressure got so intense that Syndra, Sydney, Cina, Amy and the two burly soldiers planted to the ground. They were all about to pass out when suddenly, the pressure was all gone. “Tch”, a familiar voice could be heard while clicking his tongue, “That bastard is losing it again.” The armoured woman slowly raised her head, “Eru? What are you doing here? Aren’t you fighting against a strong enemy?”
Eru shook his head, “Nah, that guy was pretty weak. The group could defeat it eventually even without my help.” Then, Eru looked around before asking the armoured woman, “So, what the hell happened here?” The armoured woman was about to reply, but she was interrupted by a sudden powerful roar. Eru’s expression turned ugly as he furrowed his eyebrows. Eru helped the armoured woman get to her feet before saying, “Abort mission. Immediately escape the bunker and return to the academy, or else you will all die.”
The armoured woman frowned, “Do you know what the hell is happening right now?” After that, another powerful roar resounded on the whole floor. “There is no time”, Eru said while shoving the armoured woman, “Just go, escape, hurry!” Seeing the serious look on Eru’s face, the armoured woman nodded before taking the others away. After Eru watched the armoured woman and the others leave the place, Eru slightly raised his head, “Now, what should we do about this.”
