A few minutes before Long and Eru faced against the giant plant-like monstrous creature, the red-haired woman, Zhu Rong, grabbed a bite from her room before heading out to the surveillance room. What was called the surveillance room here is just a room where a dozen of humanoid, monstrous creatures, observing monitoring the static alarms on many floors inside the bunker and the life crystals of the bunker’s guardian. “How are those two?” the red-haired woman asked the many humanoid, monstrous creatures that were there while sitting leisurely on her massive chair. “Report”, said one of the many humanoid, monstrous creatures, “They still haven’t passed the second highest floor.”
The red-haired woman leaned back, “The second-floor underground floor, huh. That’s where the giant plant lives. I’m afraid things will not be as easy for those two. Maybe they are already dead right now.” The red-haired woman sipped a drink from her cup, “Such a shame”, she shook her head. As soon as the red-haired woman said that, a deafening sound resounded in the whole surveillance room.

A loud explosion noise could be heard from the second underground floor of the bunker in the middle of the forest, startling the red-haired woman. “What happened?” Zhu Rong furrowed her eyebrows while sitting in a massive chair, with many humanoid, monstrous creatures working sideways. One of the humanoid monstrous creatures turned its head towards the red-haired woman with a pale expression on its face, “Reporting, ma’am”, it lowered its head slightly, “The guardian of the second floor’s life crystal dimmed. I’m afraid that it will not last long.”
“What!?” the red-haired woman exclaimed while frowning, “That giant plant is going to die?” The humanoid, monstrous creature nodded, “I’m afraid so, ma’am. Unless we send in reinforcements, the giant plant will die soon.” The red-haired woman’s frowned turned to delight all of a sudden, “Hahaha, amazing, incredible”, she let out a hearty laugh. “No need”, she said towards the humanoid, monstrous creature, “Let it die. It has lived long enough. Besides, I’m getting tired of caring about it every day.” The humanoid, monstrous creature bowed its head, “As you wish, ma’am.”
After that, the red-haired woman leaned back in her chair. She brought out the picture from before, looking at it intensely, “You two are more interesting than I thought. Please make it down here so that I could crush you two personally”, she said with a sinister tone while licking her lips.

“Explosion!” Eru shouted, his hand lit up red, blasting away the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s large, protruding roots. “Aargh!” the giant plant-like monstrous creature screamed in pain after having its roots blasted off. Then, the giant plant-like monstrous creature commanded the plants around it to attack Eru. However, Eru was also blasted away by his own explosion, and the plants were having a hard time finding him. “This is why I don’t like using this”, Eru muttered while flying in the air, “It always backfire to me.”
As Eru landed, he saw the giant plant-like monstrous creature try healing its roots. “You’re kidding me; it can do that?” Eru exclaimed when he saw that the vines around the giant plant-like monstrous creatures wrapped around its roots, healing them rapidly. “Shit”, Eru scratched the back of his head, “I’m going to use that spell again, huh?” he muttered. Then, Eru suddenly remembered something, “Oh, yeah, how can I forget that I’m with a freaking fire dragon.” Eru turned his head; he saw Long was standing smugly with a flames barrier around him.
“Oi, Long”, Eru shouted, “Quit standing around there and do something.” Long immediately woken up from his stupor, “Oh, right. What do you want me to do?” he replied loudly. “Hurry up and blast its roots off”, Eru barked, “It’s healing itself. I managed to hit the bastard with an explosion. Finish the job.” Long nodded, “Got it”, he said before crouching and jumping towards the giant plant-like monstrous creature. “Tch”, Eru clicked his tongue, “That guy never learned” he shook his head. The giant plant-like monstrous creature noticed Long coming straight at it.
Just before the giant plant-like monstrous creature was about to command the vegetation to attack Long, a raven-coloured energy blade was coming straight at it. “Rawr!” the giant plant-like monstrous creature roared with anger, and its attention shifted into Eru. “That’s right, bastard, I’m here”, Eru taunted. The giant plant-like monstrous creature turned its massive body towards Eru before using its tentacle hands to attack Eru. Eru immediately brandished his black sword, cutting off every vine that was coming to attack him. “Is that all you’ve got!?” Eru challenged while slowly getting closer towards the giant plant-like monstrous creature.
While Eru was dealing with the giant plant-like monstrous creature attacks, Long finally landed right beside the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s roots. Long saw that the roots of the monster were healing up with the help of nearby vegetation. “So the monster wanted to heal itself”, Long snickered, “Like I’ll let that happen.” Then, Long placed the tip of his red staff on the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s roots, “I’ll do the same thing that brother Eru has done earlier”, Long said as a magic circle appeared surrounding his red staff. Following that, another magic circle emerged near the original magic circle. Then, the magic circle multiplies, and tiny magic circles appear, surrounding the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s roots.
Long let out a chuckle before shouting, “Explosion!” Right after that, the red magic circles that surrounded the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s roots lit up. The red magic circles brightly lit up before they blew, blasting the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s roots to pieces. “Argh!” the giant plant-like monstrous creature screamed in pain as its whole massive body was tumbling down slowly. After seeing that the giant plant-like monstrous creature was about to fall, Eru and Long immediately retreated. Long especially since he was near the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s roots when it happened.
With a boom, the giant plant-like monstrous creature fell to the ground, creating a huge crater on the ground, ruining the nearby vegetation. “I guess it is true what they said; the bigger they are, the harder they fall”, Eru muttered after watching the giant plant-like monstrous creature fall to the ground. After that, Long appeared besides Eru, “Enjoying the show, brother Eru?” he asked. Eru observed Long from head to toe, “How come you’re fine whenever you used that spell?’ Long raised his eyebrows, “You mean explosion? Maybe it’s because I’m a red dragon. We are, after all, not afraid of flames of any kind.”
Eru shrugged his shoulders before shaking his head, “Right, time to find the exit of this place. I’ve had enough of plants in one day.”

After Eru and Long defeat the giant plant-like monstrous creature, they combed the entire area, struggling to find the exit. “Where the hell is this exit?” Long grunted while swinging around his iconic red staff. Eru sighed, “Maybe we should rest a little”, he suggested. “Hmm, good idea, brother Eru. Since we already defeated the boss of this room, we should be safe for a little while”, Long said with a smile. Eru then cut off a tree in half, and using his skills and dexterity, he carved out two logs for sitting. After that, Eru brandished his black sword, cutting tree branches to be used as a campfire.
“Ooh, you are handy as ever, brother Eru”, Long praised before sitting down on one of the logs. “Took out the rations you packed earlier, Long. We are going to cook it now,” Eru said while taking out some rock salt from his pocket. “Sure”, Long took out a couple of packed meat he was given earlier in Sylphid Academy from his pouch. Eru began to prepare the meat by skewering the meat with the neatly prepared sticks from the tree branches nearby. Eru poured the rock salt he had to the skewed meat thoroughly before cooking them on the campfire.
As the meat cooked, Eru and Long could smell the delicious aroma coming from the meat skewers. “Smells good”, Long salivated when looking at the meat skewers that were being cooked. “I agree”, Eru nodded, “Meat plus salt are all we need.” Just as the aroma from the meat skewers filled the whole entire floor, the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s body shook. Then, suddenly, a loud bang could be heard from below the giant plant-like monstrous creature’s body, and another monstrous creature emerged from within it. The monstrous creature that emerged turned out to be a humanoid one; however, its body was decaying and foul stance, looking quite ghoulish.
The ghoulish monstrous creature roared loudly. Its loud roar plus its foul stance managed to attract Eru and Long’s attention. Long furrowed his eyebrows, “What the hell is that!?” he exclaimed. “Undead”, Eru squinted his eyes; he muttered with a sombre tone as he and Long watched the ghoulish monstrous creature approach Eru and Long swiftly on all fours. “Prepare yourself!” Eru shouted while unsheathing his black sword from its scabbard.
