When Eru and Long were still inside the bunker, time passed by, and the day had become the night. The moon shone brighter than ever, and the stars were beautifully painted the night sky with its glistering light. The moonlight shone on the figure of a beautiful woman that was standing on the roof, reflecting her beauty to the world around her. The beautiful woman looked at the moon with a conflicting expression as her long, blonde hair was blown gently by the night wind. Suddenly, the blonde-hair beautiful woman’s eyes squinted, “Who’s there?” she asked after hearing footsteps were approaching behind her.
“It’s me. What’s wrong? Can’t sleep, commander?” this time, a blue-haired, cute girl appeared from the shadows, flashing a loving smile towards the blonde-haired beautiful woman. “Oh, it’s just you, Amy”, the beautiful woman heaved a sigh. Amy, the blue-haired girl, walked to the beautiful woman’s side, “I can’t sleep too, big sis”, she spoke to the beautiful woman with a different tone than before. The beautiful woman was, of course, Syndra. “It has been a wild three days, hasn’t it, Amy?” Syndra sighed. “It is”, Amy replied, “Half of the time, I don’t even know what is going on anymore.” Syndra’s lips curled up a little, “Neither do I, neither do I”, Syndra lowered her head.
The blue-haired girl looked at Syndra before hugging her arm, “Are you worried about big brother Alex?” Amy slightly tilted her head, “Don’t worry, big sis. Even though he looked like that, big brother Alex is dependable.” Syndra laughed before patting the blue-haired girl’s tiny and cute head, “I know. After all, I’m his wife.” Just as the night seemed to pass by peacefully, Syndra and Amy saw a flock of birds escaping from the forest. Then, both Syndra and Amy heard loud footsteps were approaching their location. Before long, Syndra and Amy could see familiar enemies coming from the forest.
“Enemy attack!” shouted one of the guards below. Then, Sylphid Academy’s giant bell rung, alerting everyone of the danger approaching. Syndra and Amy looked at each other before simultaneously nodding, “Gather all available combatants. I want everyone to be ready as soon as possible”, Syndra ordered. “Yes, ma’am”, Amy saluted before rushing inside. “Damn it! Just when our heavy hitters are not here. How deep are the enemy plans?” Syndra muttered while biting her lower lips. “Get a hold of yourself, Sydnra”, she slapped herself, “This is not the time to be thinking about such things. I need to hurry and armoured up.”

The hobgoblin-like monstrous creature roared; it commanded its army to charge forward with authority. Yesterday, the hobgoblin-like monstrous creature did not go back to the bunker. Instead, the red-haired woman ordered the hobgoblin-like monstrous creature to lay low inside the forest nearby. The hobgoblin-like monstrous creature did not know what the red-haired woman intended, but it still followed her order nonetheless. And a few minutes earlier, the hobgoblin-like monstrous creature received an order from the red-haired woman through a crystal ball she left behind earlier in the day.
The hobgoblin-like monstrous creature was ordered by the red-haired woman to stop laying low and immediately attack Sylphid Academy. The red-haired woman was taking advantage when Eru and Long were not in Sylphid Academy to deal some damage to Sylphid Academy. Of course, the red-haired woman was not expecting the hobgoblin-like monstrous creature to achieve anything since the woman close to an archmage, Headmaster Helga, was there protecting Sylphid Academy. The red-haired woman also knew that Headmaster Helga would not help personally unless Sylphid Academy was in danger of being annihilated. All the red-haired woman wanted was to shave off the strength of the army that was protecting the academy.
Right now, the hobgoblin-like monstrous creature stood in the back of its army, watching as its army of monstrous creatures charged towards Sylphid Academy. And just like the previous battle, the army of monstrous creatures get impeded by the barrier surrounding Sylphid Academy. The barrier around Sylphid Academy brought Syndra enough time to armoured up and gather all available combatants. Unlike before, when she and her army defended Sylphid Academy, the now armoured Syndra had a lot more people by her side. Sydney and her two bodyguards, plus Cina and a dozen of so adventurers, were gathering right before her.
The armoured woman’s soldiers were standing in front of the adventurers, creating orderly lines. Amy, Sydney and Cina stood beside the armoured woman, tense and nervous before the battle. The armoured woman took a deep breath, “Before you all, there are enemies we need to deal with. Previously, we won easily because of the help from two people. Right now, we don’t have those two to rely on. I know that the adventurers and the army had their clashes in the past. I’m not asking you to get mushy-mushy with each other. All I’m asking tonight, in this battle we’re about to go, is simple. Stay alive.” The soldiers and the adventurers gulped, especially the latter group. They did not expect that a lofty commander from the army only asked the adventurers just to survive.
The adventurers expected that the commander would ask various things, like listening to orders and complete submission. Although the female commander before them was the wife of the guild master, the bad blood between the adventurers and the army was too deep. The adventurers were only willing to listen because the commander was the guild master’s wife. If it were any other person, they would not care and immediately engaged the enemy of their own volition. After the armoured woman finished her speech, the adventurers all raised their weapons, “Let us fight to survive”, shouted one of the adventurers. “Let us fight to survive!” repeated the other adventurers in unison.
The armoured woman smiled; having reached her goal in moving the adventurers before her, she turned her body towards the attacking monstrous creatures. “Everybody, charge!” the armoured woman shouted her lungs out while pointing her sword at the army of monstrous creatures. “Shaaa!” the adventurers and the soldiers all let out a battle cry as they charge ahead towards the army of monstrous creatures.

While the armoured woman, her soldiers and the adventurers were facing the army of monstrous creatures, Long finally woke up from his slumber. He felt his whole body and found that after resting, he feels a lot better. Long exited the wooden tent, and he found Eru was cooking another meat skewers beside the campfire. “Good morning, sleeping prince”, Eru smirked, “Want some meat?” Long sat on a nearby log, “Sure”, he said while taking a cooked meat skewer, “How long did I sleep?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows, “I don’t know, maybe a few hours?” Long lowered his head, “A few hours….” Eru patted Long on his back, “Every living being in this world needs rest. Don’t dwell too much on it.”
Long flashed a smile. Then, he looked around, finding the surroundings around him had changed somewhat. Eru smiled wryly, “Oh, you noticed them? I’ve got to get better in dealing with the aftermath.” Long frowned, “What happened while I was out?” he asked. Eru waved his hand, “Oh, nothing major. Just some uncultured swine decided to barge in”, Eru said nonchalantly. “You mean that ghoulish-looking undead?” Long asked. Eru nodded, “Yeah, those”, Eru answered while flipping the meat skewer. “Those?” Long pondered, “How many?” Eru shrugged his shoulders, “I don’t know, a few dozen maybe? I did not count since I took care of them quickly.”
“Oh, and I think I found how we would get down to the lower levels”, Eru added after taking a bite from the meat skewer in his hand. “You did, brother Eru? Can you tell me where?” Long inquired. Eru pointed at the corpse of the giant plant-like monstrous creature that was now buried under a few large logs, “Under there”, Eru replied, “There is a big hole underneath that thing.” Long immediately get up, “Then, what are we waiting for? Let’s hurry up and leave this place.” Eru shook his head, “Let me rest for a while. Besides, what about the meat skewers I’m cooking right now?” Long looked at the meat skewers and could not help but salivate, “Okay, after we finish eating, then we’ll leave.”
Eru let out a chuckle, and after a while, Eru and Long finished eating the meat skewers. “Phew, that was good” Eru rubbed his belly before checking his equipment. “You ready, Long?” Eru said while zipping his pouch. Long nodded, “I am”, he said. “Then, let us move this thing around” Eru and Long approached the corpse of the giant plant-like monstrous creature. “Oh, and a word of warning”, Eru said after both he and Long revealed the hole beneath the giant plant-like monstrous creature, “Those ghoulish bastards will probably came out from there.”
Right after Eru said that, both Eru and Long watched as several ghoulish monstrous creatures jumped up from the hole. “Get ready!” Eru shouted while unsheathing his black sword.
