The battle between Eru and Long against the earth dragon continued to rage on. Eru and Long used all of they had got to contend against the might of the earth dragon. And for the most part, Eru and Long succeeded in injuring the earth dragon, evident in the amounts of scars and blood on the earth dragon’s body. The earth dragon’s panted as it looked at Eru and Long hatefully. Eru and Long, who was in their transformation form, were flying in the air, looking coldly at the injured earth dragon. “A little more”, Long mumbled, “A little more, and we could kill this bastard”, he spoke with anger.
“Patience, Long”, Eru furrowed his eyebrows, “For some reason, I have a bad feeling about this. We should take it slow”, Eru warned. “All the more reason we should end this fast. Cover my back, brother Eru!” Long ignored Eru’s warning as he flew towards the earth dragon. “Tch, damn it! Listen to me, blockhead!” Eru clicked his tongue before following Long closely behind his back. Long brandished his red staff, “Die!” he shouted while swinging his red staff at the earth dragon’s head. Long’s red staff was coated with fire mana hit the earth dragon directly, rocking its head.
Eru followed up Long’s attack by brandishing his aura-coated black sword. Eru swung down; he managed to cut the earth dragon’s left eye before being flung back by the earth dragon’s claw. “Brother Eru!” Long exclaimed. Eru managed to stabilize himself in the air, “I’m fine. Just a slight wound” he wiped the blood on his lips. Then, Eru and Long watched the struggling earth dragon, “Just one final push. Let’s go, brother Eru!” Long shouted while flying up high, “Fireball!” Long launched another large fireball towards the earth dragon. The earth dragon screamed in pain as Long’s large fireball hit it straight at its head.
Then, Long moved his red staff in the air in a circle, “Fireball!” he loudly chanted. Another large fireball appeared every time Long chanted. Long chanted multiple times, creating five large fireballs that he launched one by one towards the earth dragon. After the last large fireball hit the earth dragon, Eru flew across the earth dragon before diving down, aiming to cut the earth dragon’s tail. However, the earth dragon waved its giant tail around, making Eru miss his attack. “Shit”, Eru cursed before the earth dragon’s tail was smacked against it. Eru managed to block in time, but the impact from the earth dragon’s tail sent him flying back.
But, Eru was seemingly a decoy. Right after that, Long flew right below the earth dragon’s jaw, “This is the end”, Long said as red, sharp mana gathered around Long’s red staff. “Die!” Long thrust his red staff towards the earth dragon’s jaw. Long’s red staff hit the earth dragon’s jaw, piercing it as blood burst out from it. The earth dragon roared in pain, struggling, rolling left and right. Eru and Long flew away from the earth dragon, observing it from high in the air. After a while, the earth dragon stopped moving entirely. “Is it dead?” Eru asked. “I think so”, Long answered with uncertainty.
“Well, that was easy”, Eru shrugged his shoulders. Long furrowed his eyebrows, “It was not supposed to be that easy.” Eru looked at Long, “What do you mean?” Eru squinted his eyes. “Although it was just a body, an adult dragon is not that easy to kill, especially an earth dragon”, Long explained. “Eh, maybe the enemy’s method is flawed”, Eru shrugged. Then, suddenly, Eru and Long felt that a massive amount of mana was gathering inside the earth dragon’s body. “What the—” Long observed the earth dragon while frowning. The mana that was gathering around the earth dragon’s body became even denser, swirling around the earth dragon, creating a mana vortex that completely blocked the earth dragon’s body from Eru and Long’s visions.

“Amazing”, the red-haired woman exclaimed with admirations, “Those two are stronger than I thought. To think that they were able to easily take down the earth dragon. They did it fast too. Superb!” The red-haired woman praised while slowly clapping. “But it would take more than that to subdue the earth dragon”, the red-haired woman muttered. “Hey”, the red-haired woman called out. “Yes, ma’am?” one of the humanoid monstrous creatures inside the surveillance room replied. “The mana we gathered, it is enough, right?” the red-haired woman inquired.
“Y-yes, ma’am. It is enough. That should be ready”, the humanoid monstrous creature answered with a slight stutter. “Good”, the red-haired woman nodded, “Then, inject the gathered mana into the earth dragon. I think it is time for our friend to come back out”, the red-haired woman ordered. “Yes, ma’am!” the humanoid monstrous creature replied before its attention was diverted somewhere else. The red-haired woman looked at the broadcast while licking her lips, “You two will entertain me further, right?” she muttered with a dangerous gleam in her eyes.

Eru and Long waited in the air while the mana vortex kept spinning around the earth dragon. “How long is it going to take?” Eru grumbled while squinting his eyes. “I don’t know, but I sense a strong power inside the mana vortex, budding and growing stronger by the second”, Long said. “Hmm, we can’t break the mana vortex too. Well, we can, but it would take a considerable amount of our power to do so, leaving us vulnerable”, Eru stated. “True. We can only wait” Long furrowed his eyebrows. “Tch”, Long clicked his tongue, “Hurry up and come out. I’ll destroy you instantly”, Long mumbled with intense killing intent in his eyes.
Suddenly, the mana vortex spun faster and faster, sucking the air around it. Eru and Long flew further backwards, avoiding the mana vortex’s intense pull. Then, after spinning fast for a hot minute, the mana vortex expanded little by little. After reaching a certain size, the mana vortex suddenly burst, creating a veil of smoke around the earth dragon’s body. The veil of smoke dissipated slowly, revealing a black, humanoid silhouette with two large horns on its head. “Humanoid form? It can’t be” Long had a shocked expression while furrowing his eyebrows.
“This is bad”, Eru added, “That thing gave me quite a bad feeling” he gripped his black sword tightly. “We need to eliminate it now before it could become a problem”, Long said, “Come, brother Eru!” he shouted before diving down with his red staff glowing red towards the black, humanoid silhouette. “Right”, Eru followed closely behind Long, coating his black sword with his raven-coloured aura. As Long got closer towards the black, humanoid silhouette, Long brandished his mana-imbued red staff, “Die!” he swung down. With a boom, Long red staff was stopped by a brown-skinned humanoid hand.
“Go away for a moment”, the brown-skinned, humanoid figure said before flinging Long away towards Eru easily with one hand. Long crashed towards Eru midair as they both flew quite a far away from there. The brown-skinned, humanoid figure observed his hands, then he began to touch his body and his head before moving to the two horns protruding from his forehead. Right after that, the brown-skinned, humanoid figure waved his hands, and a mirror-like substance emerged from the ground. He touched the corner of his red eyes with his right hand and the mana crystal on his chest with his left hand, “So I look like this, now”, the brown-skinned humanoid figure muttered.
Then, while the brown-skinned humanoid figure was distracted, Eru and Long had already recovered their bearings. Long was enraged when he saw the clear figure of the brown-skinned humanoid creature. “You!” Long shouted, “Die!” he flapped his wings, flying with high velocity towards the brown-skinned humanoid figure. “Would you be quiet for a second?” the brown-skinned humanoid creature scratched his head before catching Long’s red staff once again with his bare hand. “Calm down”, the brown-skinned humanoid creature slammed Long down to the ground.
When Long was down, Eru used the moment to attack the brown-skinned humanoid figure. “At least you don’t scream like the other one”, the brown-skinned humanoid figure casually grabbed onto Eru’s black sword. “I would not do that if I were you”, Eru let out a small grin. “Wha—” The brown-skinned humanoid figure raised his eyebrow before he could feel a vibration from Eru’s black sword. “Ah!” he screamed softly as Eru’s black sword managed to slightly injure the brown-skinned humanoid figure. “That’s a good sword”, the brown-skinned humanoid figure praised as the wound in his hand slowly healed.
“Thanks. Please wait for a while” Eru grabbed the injured Long before taking him away. Right after bringing Long to a relatively safe distance, Eru flew towards the brown-skinned humanoid figure. He landed right before the brown-skinned humanoid figure, “I like this side of you better. Before, you could only roar and rampage around. But now, you could speak like a proper human being.” The brown-skinned humanoid figure rubbed his chin, “Before? What do you mean before?” he looked at Eru with confusion.
