The armoured woman, the blue-haired female soldier and Sydney watched Meng Huo and Zhu Rong’s exchange with awe. The blue-haired female soldier gulped, “Uhm, do you think we can help senior Meng Huo?” The armoured woman swallowed her spit before shaking her head in helplessness, “I’m afraid not.” Sydney squinted her eyes, “Teacher Eru was right. We could not help even if we tried with our current strength.” The blue-haired female soldier wanted to retort, but she knew all too well that what Eru said before was right. While the trio was in a dilemma, Eru suddenly appeared in front of them. “How is Long?” Eru asked. “He’s just passed out. Give it time, and he will be alright”, the armoured woman replied.
“Good”, Eru nodded. Then, Eru’s gaze moved from the armoured woman to the blue-haired female soldier before landing on Sydney with a small smile, “See? What did I tell you? That red-haired woman is stronger beyond belief. If I don’t go all out, she will kill me in an instant, and even when I go all out, she could still beat me. If so, how about the three of you?” Eru quipped. “Nevertheless, I appreciate the help”, Eru smiled wider, “Can you please bring Long out of here? He’s in no condition to fight, and with the three of you protecting him, I could rest easy and fight with all I have”, Eru said while looking in the direction of the red-haired woman.
The armoured woman clenched her fist, biting her lips in frustration; the armoured woman nodded, “Return alive”, she said while raising her fist. “Okay”, Eru bumped his fist with the armoured woman’s before the latter left the area with the blue-haired female soldier. “Good luck, teacher”, Sydney said before following closely behind the armoured woman. After the armoured woman, the blue-haired female soldier and Sydney left the room, Eru shook his head. Then, Eru gripped his black sword tightly, “Ready, Buddy?” The black sword in his hands replied with an intense vibration, showing its desire for battle. “Good”, Eru smiled, “Let’s do this. Eruken, ha!” The red-haired woman blocked Meng Huo’s fist while sensing Eru’s aura was rising.
“Where are you looking at, Zhu Rong!” Meng Huo clenched his fist. “Hah, you’re not worth looking”, she taunted while blocking another one of Meng Huo’s punches. “You!” Meng Huo growled. Then, Meng Huo started to deliver a barrage of attacks at the red-haired woman with rage in his eyes. While the red-haired woman was busy dealing with Meng Huo, Eru used this time to activate the Dragon Force Technique before sitting cross-legged. Eru focused the fate energy around to empower himself, creating a golden hue around Eru’s raven-coloured protective membrane. After a while, Eru opened his eyes, flickering from his spot and reappearing right before the red-haired woman, “Ready for round two?” Eru smirked as his black sword struck the red-haired woman on her arm.
“You’ve gotten faster”, the red-haired woman commented, “But not strong enough” the red-haired woman delivered a roundhouse kick at Eru’s torso, sending him flying. Right after that, Meng Huo punched the red-haired woman, sending her flying toward a nearby wall. After that, Meng Huo grabbed the red-haired woman by her waist, throwing her backwards. As the red-haired woman left Meng Huo’s hands, Eru was ready to slash his black sword at the red-haired woman. “A cute move”, the red-haired woman smiled while nimbly moving her hand, deflecting Eru’s black sword to the side. “You’re not going to block my sword anymore?” Eru quipped while delivering another strike. “Nope. Unfortunately, your sword is too wild for my taste”, the red-haired woman said while dodging Eru’s attacks in the air.
While Eru and the red-haired woman were busy fightings, Meng Huo appeared behind the red-haired woman and delivered a kick behind her back. “Argh”, the red-haired woman grunted as Meng Huo’s kick sent her flying to a wall. Eru was not done, though, as he sent multiple energy blades toward the red-haired woman. The energy blades created a crater on the room’s wall, causing a cloud of smoke to rise because of it. Eru warily looked at the crater while Meng Huo waited patiently while prepping his fists for another pounding. “That fucking hurts, you bitch”, the red-haired woman’s voice resounded from behind the cloud of smoke. As the smoke dissipated, the red-haired woman’s figure revealed itself, full of wounds and bloodied all over the place.
“That’s it, playtimes over!” the red-haired woman extended her hand upwards. “I won’t let you do that”, Meng Huo charged at the red-haired woman with his fangs laid bare. The red-haired woman smirked, “Too late”, she muttered as a sinister-looking, maroon-coloured boomerang emerged in her hand. Then, the red-haired woman threw the maroon-coloured boomerang toward Meng Huo. “Shit!” Meng Huo cursed before crossing his arms, trying to block the maroon-coloured boomerang. “Tch, tch, tch. You remember what my boomerang does, right, Meng Huo? Even if your body is now of that of an earth dragon, my boomerang is not easily blocked”, the red-haired woman snickered.
“Argh”, Meng Huo gritted his teeth while the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang was spinning on his arms, and the flesh on his arms began to burn. “You forget about me”, Eru folded his wings, diving down with his black sword pointed at the red-haired woman. “Of course, I don’t forget about you”, the red-haired woman smiled while waving her hand. The maroon-coloured boomerang left Meng Huo as it moved in tandem with the red-haired woman’s hand. Eru’s black sword met the red-haired woman’s boomerang, creating a small explosion that sent Eru flying backwards a little. “Heh”, the red-haired woman caught her maroon-coloured boomerang into her hand, “I knew there is something special about your weapon” the red-haired woman commented, “Come on, keep entertaining me!”

Eru and Meng Huo stood side by side as they stared at the adversaries in front of them. The red-haired woman rested her maroon-coloured boomerang on her shoulder, “What’s wrong? Is that all you’ve got?” she taunted. “Grr, damn it!” Meng Huo growled in frustration, “If only I had my previous strength” he clenched his fist. “Yeah, old man”, the red-haired woman slightly raised her head, “If only you had your previous strength, no, if only you could utilize some aura. You could be more fun to play with.” Eru looked at Meng Huo, whose hands were slowly healing, but his posture was ready to attack. Eru put his black sword in front of Meng Huo, “You rest up for a while. Recover your arms first. I’ll deal with her”, Eru suggested. “B-but master—”
“Just rest up”, Eru walked forward. “Master?” the red-haired woman slightly raised her eyebrows. Then, something inside of her head clicked, “Oh, so that’s what happened, I understand now”, the red-haired woman exclaimed. That red-haired youth is a quite capable mage, being able to break the soul binding spell using that trick”, the red-haired woman grinned. “You understand?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows. “That red-haired kid made a Soul Pact with Meng Huo, right? My Soul Binding Spell works exactly like a Soul Pact, but instead of a two-way road, my Soul Binding Spell is a one-way road”, the red-haired woman explained.
She continued, “And if one’s soul is already on a Soul Pact, they cannot make another pact as it would endanger themselves and the one they want to make a pact with. In the case of my Soul Binding Spell, if Meng Huo did that to another person, it would only endanger Meng Huo since it was a one-way connection. What that red-haired kid did was genius. He forcefully diverted Meng Huo’s soul connection with me to himself. And after that, that red-haired kid forcefully made a Soul Pact with Meng Huo, enduring unimaginable pain, forcefully breaking the Soul Binding Spell with his strong soul”, the red-haired woman uttered with a hint of excitement.

Him and you”, the red-haired woman pointed her maroon-coloured boomerang at Eru. “Enough rambling”, Eru shouted; he flapped his wings, flying toward the red-haired woman, “Prepare yourself.” The red-haired woman snickered, “You’re the one that asked me. Did you think I don’t know you’re stalling on purpose for the old man to heal his arms?” Eru’s black sword once again met with the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang, “I did ask. But you are rambling too much.”
After that, the battle between the red-haired woman and Eru got even fiercer. Every time Eru brandished his black sword, the red-haired woman countered him using her maroon-coloured boomerang. However, the red-haired woman always found a way to push Eru back and using her range advantage, her boomerang managed to injure Eru more than Eru injured her. “You’re faster, and you’re stronger from our earlier exchange”, the red-haired woman exclaimed while parrying Eru’s attacks. “However—” the red-haired woman grabbed Eru’s wrist, throwing him away and sending her maroon-coloured boomerang after Eru. Eru raised his black sword in time to block the maroon-coloured boomerang.
“You’re still too inexperienced to win against me”, the red-haired woman said while waving her hands around, moving the maroon-coloured boomerang to relentlessly attacked Eru. “I guess this is not enough”, Eru muttered under his breath before his body suddenly glowed gold. After that, the golden glow around Eru’s body exploded, sending the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang backwards. “Hmm? What is this? Interesting”, the red-haired woman commented as the golden glow around Eru’s body dissipated.
