Is that all you’ve got?” she taunted. “Grr, damn it!” Meng Huo growled in frustration, “If only I had my previous strength” he clenched his fist. “Yeah, old man”, the red-haired woman slightly raised her head, “If only you had your previous strength, no, if only you could utilize some aura. You could be more fun to play with.” Eru looked at Meng Huo, whose hands were slowly healing, but his posture was ready to attack. Eru put his black sword in front of Meng Huo, “You rest up for a while. Recover your arms first. I’ll deal with her”, Eru suggested. “B-but master—”
“Just rest up”, Eru walked forward. “Master?” the red-haired woman slightly raised her eyebrows. Then, something inside of her head clicked, “Oh, so that’s what happened, I understand now”, the red-haired woman exclaimed. That red-haired youth is a quite capable mage, being able to break the soul binding spell using that trick”, the red-haired woman grinned. “You understand?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows. “That red-haired kid made a Soul Pact with Meng Huo, right? My Soul Binding Spell works exactly like a Soul Pact, but instead of a two-way road, my Soul Binding Spell is a one-way road”, the red-haired woman explained.
She continued, “And if one’s soul is already on a Soul Pact, they cannot make another pact as it would endanger themselves and the one they want to make a pact with. In the case of my Soul Binding Spell, if Meng Huo did that to another person, it would only endanger Meng Huo since it was a one-way connection. What that red-haired kid did was genius. He forcefully diverted Meng Huo’s soul connection with me to himself. But you are rambling too much.”
After that, the battle between the red-haired woman and Eru got even fiercer. Every time Eru brandished his black sword, the red-haired woman countered him using her maroon-coloured boomerang. However, the red-haired woman always found a way to push Eru back and using her range advantage, her boomerang managed to injure Eru more than Eru injured her. “You’re faster, and you’re stronger from our earlier exchange”, the red-haired woman exclaimed while parrying Eru’s attacks. “However—” the red-haired woman grabbed Eru’s wrist, throwing him away and sending her maroon-coloured boomerang after Eru. Eru raised his black sword in time to block the maroon-coloured boomerang.
“You’re still too inexperienced to win against me”, the red-haired woman said while waving her hands around, moving the maroon-coloured boomerang to relentlessly attacked Eru. “I guess this is not enough”, Eru muttered under his breath before his body suddenly glowed gold. After that, the golden glow around Eru’s body exploded, sending the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang backwards. “Hmm? What is this? Interesting”, the red-haired woman commented as the golden glow around Eru’s body dissipated. The armoured woman squinted her eyes when she saw Eru’s new appearance. Eru’s raven-coloured protective membrane that resembled a dragon now was mixed with gold.
Eru’s wings were now golden, and his horns were golden also. Eru’s chest armour also turned golden, although it only partially. Eru’s raven-coloured hair turned golden as it lengthened, reaching to his waist. Eru’s raven-coloured aura and the golden hue complimented each other greatly, making his appearance majestic, like a hero from fairy tales. “Hoo”, the red-haired woman rubbed her chin, “You’ve become more dazzling”, she commented. Eru ignored her comment, however, as he was still observing the change that Fate Energy brought to him. “The Dragon Force Technique… It became gentler”, Eru muttered under his breath, “And I can’t barely feel the constant pain from Eruken either.” The red-haired woman slightly leaned her body, “Are you done?”
Eru raised his hand, summoning his black sword to his hand, “Yeah, I’m done.” After that, Eru put the black sword sideways before flapping his new golden wings. “Hah!” Eru shouted while flying fast, close to the ground. “En garde!” Eru yelled while swinging his black sword. The red-haired woman’s grin became even wider, “Hahaha, come!” she raised her maroon-coloured boomerang to block Eru’s black sword. “Hmm?” the red-haired woman slightly furrowed her eyebrows, ‘This is—’ the red-haired woman’s arm trembled before Eru managed to overpower her guard, making the red-haired woman off-balance. “Die!” Eru said as he swung his sword through the red-haired woman’s body.
However, after he did that, Eru furrowed his eyebrows, ‘No impact?’ he thought to himself. Eru saw that the red-haired woman was just a silhouette, and the real one was standing on the wall, with her stomach slightly cut. The red-haired woman gritted her teeth before her expression turned to joy. “Hahaha, that was close. If I did not move in time, I would have been cut into two”, the red-haired woman uttered. “If I was a little bit serious, I could have cut you into two”, Eru cheekily quipped. The red-haired woman’s eyes twitched a little, “Being cheeky, huh?” After that, the red-haired woman’s body was surrounded by her scarlet-coloured aura.
The red-haired woman’s scarlet-coloured aura rampaged everywhere, crushing anything it touched. The red-haired woman held her maroon-coloured boomerang out, “Then try to dodge this.” After that, the red-haired woman infused her scarlet-coloured aura into her maroon-coloured boomerang before throwing it toward Eru. Eru squinted his eyes; a golden hue gleamed inside of his amber-coloured eyes. ‘It is slower than before,’ Eru thought while his eyes were following the erratic movements of the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang. As the red-haired woman’s boomerang was looming closer at Eru, he suddenly flapped his golden-coloured wings. In an instant, Eru already appeared up in the air, making the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang miss completely.
“You think that’s it? No, I’m not done yet”, the red-haired woman said. Then, the red-haired woman waved her hands, moving the maroon-coloured boomerang at Eru. Since Eru was able to follow the movements of the maroon-coloured boomerang, he managed to dodge the red-haired woman’s attacks near effortlessly before he dived down toward the red-haired woman. “Be careful, master!” Meng Huo suddenly shouted. “Huh?” Eru looked behind, finding that a crimson-coloured aura came out from the boomerang in the shape of a spike, heading towards his body. Eru quickly manoeuvred around the crimson spike; however, the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang immediately followed him.
“Tch”, Eru clicked his tongue as he continued manoeuvering in the air. “Come, dance for me”, the red-haired woman shouted while waving her hands. Eru kept flying around, avoiding the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang. Although Eru could see the erratic movements of the maroon-coloured boomerang, the red-haired woman’s crimson-coloured aura inside the maroon-coloured boomerang kept attacking Eru at an unpredictable angle. While this was going on, Meng Huo was silently recovering from his injuries. The melted flesh on his arms was almost recovered to how it was previously. Meng Huo gritted his teeth in frustration, “Come on, body. Heal faster”, he muttered.
“Hahaha”, the red-haired woman laughed like a maniac, “Is this all that new power brought you? Just flying faster and escaping?” Eru spun in the air, avoiding the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang before tucking his wings. He proceeded to dive down towards the red-haired woman with his black sword ready. “Hahaha, that’s the way”, the red-haired woman grinned. “Come”, the red-haired woman raised her hand, instantly summoning her maroon-coloured boomerang into her hand. Upon seeing this, Eru furrowed his eyebrows before infusing his black sword with his aura and Fate Energy.
With a boom, Eru’s black sword clashed against the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang. The clash between Eru’s black sword and the red-haired woman’s maroon-coloured boomerang caused a small crater around, nearly trashing the entire training room. Blood spurted from the red-haired woman’s body, but the expression on her face was that of joy. “Hahahaha!” the red-haired woman let out a really loud laugh, “Amazing, amazing. It has been a while since I’ve been hurt this badly.” After that, the red-haired woman looked at the unscathed Eru with a cold gleam in her eyes, “You, you’re the first. To badly hurt me for years. To show you thanks, I will unleash my full power against you!”
