As the rest of the party followed Meng Huo, the latter had already reached the huge cage outside. “This is—” Sydney squinted her eyes. “It’s where I was imprisoned for so long. If we directly flew up, we should reach the previous floor quickly”, Meng Huo stated. “Fly up? How do we—” the armoured woman’s eyes widened in realization, “I see. Using you, Long and Eru’s special transformation, we all could fly up into the upper floor”, the armoured woman said. “What are we waiting for, then? Come on, we have no time to waste”, the blue-haired female soldier urged.
Then, Long turned on his transformation as a red protective membrane spread all over him. He spread his red-coloured wings wide before looking at Sydney, the armoured woman and the blue-haired female soldier, “So, who wants to go with me?” Long asked with a sarcastic smile while spreading his arms wide. “You’ll go ahead, Amy”, the armoured woman pushed the blue-haired female soldier onto Long’s embrace. “Right, we’ll go first”, Long said. Right after that, Long flapped his red-coloured wings, flying instantly upwards. “W-wait, I’m not ready, yeeeeeee—” the blue-haired female soldier screamed. “Right, who’s next?” Sydney asked. “Young master Eru, please go on ahead”, Meng Huo offered.
Eru shook his head, “Nah, you go first. Bring Sydney and Syndra along with you”, Eru said. “But, young master—” Meng Huo was suddenly interrupted by Eru. “You go ahead first”, Eru said, squinting his eyes; Eru stared at Meng Huo with a serious expression. “B-but teacher, why would you do this?” Sydney asked. “You go ahead with Meng Huo and Syndra first. I’ll catch up to you soon, I promise”, Eru winked. The armoured woman looked at Eru before nodding, “Okay, I’ll wait for you.” Sydney stomped her foot, “Then, then, I’ll stay with you, teacher”, Sydney said. Eru looked at Sydney with a gentle smile before his gaze turned to Meng Huo.
Upon seeing Eru’s gaze, Meng Huo nodded before grabbing both Sydney and the armoured woman. “I’ll wait for you on the surface, young master”, Meng Huo said before flying away. After that, Eru turned his attention toward the room beyond the training hall, “Now, shall we go inside, Buddy?” Eru raised his hand, summoning back his black sword. Then, Eru and his black sword walked slowly toward the room beyond the training hall. “This inscription”, Eru touched the symbol on the door, “This feeling, it’s similar to Aelgh’s domain and that shady old man’s palace”, Eru said softly. “Warning, warning. Self-destruction will begin soon. Any available personnel are advised to evacuate the area immediately”, the robotic voice resounded throughout the place.
Eru shook his head, “I have little time. I need to hurry.” After that, Eru pushed the door open, revealing a bedroom inside. “What’s this? The red-haired woman’s room?” Eru scratched his cheek. He sighed, “I felt something call me from within the room; turned out it’s just a bedroom”, he muttered under his breath. However, as soon as Eru said that, his heart began to beat hard, and his body was heated up. Eru turned towards the curtain beside the bed, “Is it there?” he furrowed his eyebrows. Eru then proceeded to open the curtain, finding another door that led into a chamber with a glass tube filled with green liquid. “What the hell is this?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows, “A healing chamber maybe?” he pondered while slightly tilting his head.
Eru shook his head, “No time to dawdle. I need to find the one that called me here”, he muttered before exploring the room. Behind the room, Eru found a broken down metal door that was blocking the way. “I can feel it. The thing that called me is beyond this rubble”, Eru furrowed his eyebrows. Eru raised his black sword in his hand, gathering his remaining raven-coloured aura onto the tip of his black sword. “Hah!” with a single shout, Eru thrust his black sword into the metal rubbles, blasting it away, clearing the way forward.
“Guh”, Eru coughed multiple times as he cleared the metal rubbles. As the smoke dissipated, Eru’s eyes widened in surprise when he saw what was inside. “This is—” Eru exclaimed when suddenly, a robotic voice interrupted him. “Self destruct countdown had finished. Initiating self destruct mode in three, two, one”, after that, a loud bang resounded within the area. Eru chuckled while slightly raising his head, “Hah, life is never easy.” Right after saying that, the sound of explosions happened everywhere, destroying the underground bunker. Eru shook his head before his eyes turned serious, “Right, I’ve got this.” Then, Eru extended his hand before his figure was covered by the falling rubbles and debris from the explosion of the underground bunker.

A few minutes before the underground bunker self-destructed, Long brought the blue-haired female soldier into the previous floor. “Here you go”, Long said while letting down the blue-haired female soldier from his embrace. The blue-haired female soldier’s knees were still shaking from the sudden flight she had taken earlier. It took her a minute to compose herself, and meanwhile, Meng Huo arrived, carrying the armoured woman and Sydney in each of his arms.
“Where is brother Eru?” Long asked in confusion. “Young master Eru is still downstairs”, Meng Huo replied. “Hmm?” Long raised his eyebrows, “Did he tell you why?” Meng Huo shook his head, “No. But I think he went on and checked the door beyond the training hall. I caught him sneaking a glance here and there soon after we beat Zhu Rong earlier”, he explained. “Hmm, I’m sure brother Eru had his reason. Come, we need to hurry up, lest we get buried here underground”, Long said. Sydney looked at Long, “Wait, you’re just going to leave like that? Aren’t you worried about teacher Eru?” she asked. Long shook his head, “If brother Eru decided to stay, then he must have had his reason.”
Sydney furrowed her eyebrows, “But, don’t you see that teacher Eru is exhausted after the battle with that red-haired woman?” Long sighed, “Look, even if he is exhausted, brother Eru is still brother Eru. I don’t believe that a small hurdle like this will kill him. Believe in your own teacher, woman and stop yammering. Now, we need to leave this place as soon as possible or else we will die here.” Sydney gritted her teeth, “You—” she growled. Sydney looked at Meng Huo with a smile, “Thank you, senior Meng Huo” Meng Huo slightly bowed. “Besides, if he dies, then I would die too”, Meng Huo softly muttered, which no one but Long could hear him. After that brief exchange, Long, Meng Huo, along with the armoured woman, the blue-haired female soldier and Sydney proceeded to hurry and escape the underground bunker.
The party of five backtracked their way from the ruined small castle into the undead floor. From the undead floor, the party of five went on and proceeded to climb the stairs to the tropical floor. Along the way, Long was puzzled and asked the armoured woman, “How did you find out about the stairs down from here?” The armoured woman smiled, “We searched for hours and eventually, we noticed something was wrong with one of the large trees.” Long rubbed his chin, “I see. Well, brother Eru and I did not have you guys’ patience and we just kind of jumped straight from the big hole beneath the giant plant.”
Upon hearing that, the armoured woman could only smile wryly as the party of five proceeded their way into the stairs upwards. When Long, Meng Huo, the armoured woman, the blue-haired female soldier and Sydney arrived at the dark corridor floor, the familiar robotic voice resounded throughout the place, “Warning, warning. Self-destruction will begin soon. Any available personnel are advised to evacuate the area immediately.” Meng Huo furrowed his eyebrows, “Come on, we need to hurry up”, he urged.
