Chapter 229: Chapter 229
“It’s nice to finally meet you face to face. General Simbad had told me a lot about you”, Meng Huo slightly bowed. “You know that old bastard?” Principal Helga asked with slightly raised eyebrows. “Of course. I served under him back then in the war. I believe we met once before at the banquet in the capital. I was still young back then”, Meng Huo said. Principal Helga rubbed her chin, pondering. “Ah!” a sudden realization hit Principal Helga, “You are that snotty little kid that threw a tantrum with the nobles back then?” she exclaimed. Meng Huo’s face reddened as he scratched the back of his head with embarrassment, “Please don’t bring that up. It’s an embarrassing moment for me.”
“But you don’t look like yourself. What happened? And what is with the wings on your back?” Principal Helga asked. “That would be a long story”, Eru interjected, “We are going to need a more secluded area to talk to.” Principal Helga flashed a smile, “Sure.” After that, Principal Helga raised her hand and summoned her staff before she stabbed it to the ground. Then, dense light surrounded Principal Helga, Eru, Long and Meng Huo, teleporting them directly into Principal Helga’s office. “This place will do, right?” Principal Helga smiled. “Of course”, Eru said before sitting himself on a nearby couch.
Long’s mouth was wide agape before crossing his arms, “Impressive. You managed to force teleport all of us here in just an instant.” Principal Helga gently smiled, “Thank you for the compliment.” Eru smirked, “Ooh, that’s quite rare. Long giving compliments.” Long threw his head to the side, “Oh, shut up.” Principal Helga giggled before her eyes turned serious, “So, Syndra told me the gist of what happened down there, but I wanted to hear it from you directly”, she said while leaning in on her table. After that, Eru told Principal Helga everything that happened inside the destroyed underground bunker except for the acquirement of his black ring, Manusa.
“Beast God physique?” Principal Helga squinted her eyes. “Yes”, Eru nodded, “I faced someone with the Beast God Physique before, and what that red-haired woman had, it was nothing like it. It felt stronger and more annoying to deal with.” Principal Helga rubbed her chin, “Hmm, that is worrying. Previously, what you faced was probably an imperfect Beast God Physique, and what Zhu Rong have is the perfected one.” Eru nodded, “Maybe. And what about that mysterious woman who saved Zhu Rong? You know of her?” Principal Helga nodded, “I do. Her name is Da Ji. One of the leaders of Demonic Cult. A strong vixen, she is.”
Meng Huo’s eyes widened in surprise, “That’s Da Ji? No wonder…” Principal Helga clicked her tongue, “If she’s involved in this, we need to change our plan.” Long crossed his arms, “How so?” Principal Helga grabbed her hands together, “Da Ji has enough power to decimate us on her own. In order to deal with her, we are going to need a special method”, she said with a mysterious tone. “And, what is that?” Long asked. After that, Principal Helga stood up, “I’m going to have to get involved”, she said with a confident smile. “Are you confident in handling Da Ji?” Eru asked. “No”, Principal Helga immediately replied, “But that does not mean I can’t stall her for a while. Killing her, though, would be out of my league.”
Meng Huo squinted his eyes, “What!? Is she stronger than you?” Principal Helga shook her head, “Back then, I was stronger. But now, if what you said is true, then at least we are equal in power”, she explained. “You are right”, Meng Huo slightly lowered his head while rubbing his chin, “It is going to be a problem. If only I had my original strength, I could at least help take care of Zhu Rong.” Principal Helga looked at Meng Huo with a warm gaze, “Oh, you did claim to kill Zhu Rong previously. What’s wrong with your body right now? It is stronger, no?” Meng Huo shook his head, “It is. If it’s just body strength, this one is way stronger.”
“But”, Meng Huo added, “This body is different. It is able to sense mana and use it, and I never knew how to fight using mana.” Long nodded while Eru’s face brightened, “I remember back in the day when I wished I could use mana instead of aura. Oh, how times have changed”, Eru thought to himself. Principal Helga looked at Meng Huo with interest, “Is that so? Oh, I forgot that your body is that of an earth dragon now. How many years has it been since I last saw an alive earth dragon…” she began to ponder. After a few seconds, Principal Helga looked at Meng Huo with interest, “Your case is a bit special. Normally, dragons knew how to use mana by instinct. Every species of dragons, except the black dragons, knew perfectly how to utilize mana the moment they were born.”
Long repeatedly nodded in agreement hearing Principal Helga’s words. Principal Helga continued, “You, on the other hand, are a special case. You have the body of a dragon but the soul of a human. Tell you what, while we are recuperating and waiting for Syndra’s husband to contact us, why don’t you train with me? I’m confident I can at least make you use mana in this short amount of time, so you won’t be as useless.” Meng Huo’s lips twitched a little after hearing Principal Helga’s last words, “Sure, that would be great”, he said, a little annoyed that Principal Helga called him useless. “Oh, and can you please do me a little favour?” Eru interjected.
“What is it?” Principal Helga leaned into her chair. “Can you please use your healing spell on us? We are battered and tired from all these adventures”, Eru said with a cheeky smile. “Oh my goodness, how did I forget about that. Here”, Principal Helga waved her hand. Right after that, green mana particles surrounded Eru, Long and Meng Huo, healing their wounds and recovering their stamina slightly. “There, it is done”, Principal Helga said after the green mana particles disappeared from the room. “Thanks. Then, we shall leave the two of you alone. Let’s go, Long”, Eru said, dragging Long out of the room, leaving both Meng Huo and Principal Helga alone in her office.

Half a day passed, and Eru finally woke up after he took a long, twelve-hour sleep. “Hah, that felt good”, Eru stretched his body on the bed. “And nice to finally not dream about my past life for once”, Eru sighed. “Maybe I need to fully exhaust myself until my brain cannot generate nightmares in my sleep”, Eru softly muttered. “Generate nightmares? You had nightmares, Fate Master?” a sudden female voice resounded inside Eru’s bedroom, startling Eru, making him jump a little. “Who’s there?” Eru barked. “Relax, Fate Master. It is just me”, a beautiful woman with silver hair greeted Eru while she sat beside the window, casually sipping tea.
“It’s you? Why are you here?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows, “Don’t you know it is rude to enter someone’s room while they are sleeping?” The silver-haired woman smiled slightly, “I thought guys like these kinds of things where a beautiful woman like me visited their rooms.” Eru shrugged his shoulders, “Yeah, if they are a weird horndog. Not me, though. Get out!” he said with a stern tone. The silver-haired woman ignored Eru, and she continued to sip her tea slowly. “Don’t ignore me”, Eru squinted his eyes. “Relax a little, will you?” the silver-haired woman said with a warm smile. Then, she turned her head outside, “Do you see the moon outside? Isn’t it beautiful? A full moon before the night of blood. Poetic, isn’t it?”
Eru frowned, “What do you want, Aelgh?” Eru asked. The silver-haired woman, Aelgh, who was Principal Helga’s true name, let out a small smirk, “Of course, to enjoy the full moon. And I want to talk to you about something.” Eru sighed before crossing his arms, “Talk about what?” Eru asked as he leaned his body on a nearby wall. “About the imbecile that called themselves the Demonic Cult”, Aelgh said, looking at Eru with a serious gaze and a flash of killing intent. Eru lowered his head with a smile, “Hooh, what a heavy killing intent. You hate them so much, huh?” Aelgh’s lips slightly curled up as she sipped her tea, “Of course. I won’t forget what they had done to me, no, to us.”
Although Aelgh said that with a smile, Eru could feel that the heavy killing intent from Aelgh earlier, was coming back again with her words. Eru smiled wryly before sitting beside the silver-haired woman, “You want to talk about it?” Aelgh looked at Eru strangely, “Of course. What do you think I came here in the first place? Are you an idiot?” Eru’s eyes twitched with annoyance, but before Eru could retort, the silver-haired woman continued, “All of this does concern you as well. Your duty and fate the moment you take on the mantle of Fate Master.”
