“Who dares cause trouble in my territory?” Governor Eli shouted with a voice full of authority. Governor Eli observed his surroundings, finding that most of his soldiers were incapacitated, and only a few with strong wills were conscious. Then, Governor Eli looked at Rudy and his party with furrowed eyebrows, “State your name, and why are you causing trouble in my territory?” Governor Eli asked with a stern voice.
Hearing Governor Eli’s voice, Han Jue’s eyes twitched with annoyance. But, he held himself back by taking a deep breath. “I hope you don’t mind; we are just disciplining your soldier a little” Rudy approached Governor Eli with a smile that was not a smile. “Is it you? The one that caused all of this?” Governor Eli squinted his eyes. Rudy shrugged his shoulders, “Maybe yes, but maybe no.” After that, Rudy glared at Governor Eli fiercely, “Don’t play dumb with me. How can a man of your calibre not know who did this?” Rudy’s tone changed from easygoing to serious all of a sudden.
With that, Rudy also slightly released his own raven-coloured aura. Rudy’s aura caused Governor Eli to grit his teeth. Unlike Han Jue earlier, Rudy’s pressure was focused on Governor Eli and Sun Jian. The latter struggled to keep his feet upright while his trusty retainer, Sun Jian, had already kneeled down on the floor. Governor Eli bit his lower lips, trying very hard not to stumble down. Governor Eli watched Rudy’s casual expression with a hint of anger mixed with fear and trepidation. “Guh”, Governor Eli grunted; his knees were starting to bend down after resisting Rudy’s pressure after a while. Rudy slightly raised his eyebrows, “Hooh, I’m surprised. Not many could withstand my pressure for a long time”, Rudy said with a casual smile.
However, just as Governor Eli’s knees were about to touch the ground, the sounds of hurried footsteps slightly startled Rudy and his company. “Master!” a young woman’s voice reverberated around the area. Han Jue sighed at the sight of the young woman in front of him. “It has been a while, Ling”, Han Jue said while putting his hands on his back. After saying that, Ling ran straight to Han Jue, hugging her suddenly, “I miss you, master!” Ling sobbed, “Where have you been? I’ve been searching for you for a long time.” Han Jue scratched the back of his head, “Well, I’ve been here and there. But, how have you been? I have not seen you in a long time.”
Ling looked up, pouting, “And whose fault do you think that was?” After that, Ling looked around her surroundings before scrutinizing Han Jue, “Teacher, did you do this?” Han Jue nodded casually, “I did. Some idiot among them dares to hurt my daughter. Of course, I had to teach him a lesson.” Ling squinted her eyes, “Daughter?” Ling looked around. First, Ling’s gaze turned to Anna, but she quickly put Anna off since she did not resemble Han Jue in the slightest. After that, Ling’s gaze turned to Han Mei, “Oh, so you’re the rumoured daughter,” Ling said while extending her hand. “Hello, nice to finally meet you. My name is Ling, your father’s number one apprentice,” Ling said with a smile.
“Uh, oh, hello”, Han Mei, who was still taken aback by what just happened, shook Ling’s hand almost unconsciously. After that, Ling turned her attention to Rudy and the rest of the group, “Are these all your friends, master?” she asked. Han Jue nodded, “Yeah. Let me introduce you—” before Han Jue managed to finish his sentence, Ling stopped him right in his tracks. “Uh, uh. We can do all of this later. For now, let me sort out this mess.” After that, Ling approached Governor Eli, “Good afternoon, Governor”, Ling greeted.
Governor Eli, who was still disorientated from Rudy’s pressure, could only nod at Ling. “This is who I told you about. The previous guild master of Tailwind City’s Adventurers Guild branch, Han Jue. Since it has come to this, why don’t you and mister Sun Jian meet me in my office later?”

Governor Eli slightly bowed his head, “I’m very sorry about the behaviour of my soldier earlier”, he said. Han Jue crossed his arms, looking down on Governor Eli, “Just make sure it does not happen ever again, to my daughter or to anyone else.” Han Jue pursed his lips, “Ultimately, I want a personal apology from that soldier to my daughter.” Governor Eli repeatedly nodded his head, “Of course. I will order it immediately.” After that, Governor Eli snapped his fingers, “Sun Jian!” he shouted. “Yes, sir?” Sun Jian, that was standing near the door the entire time, approached Governor Eli.
“You heard what happened”, Governor Eli said. Sun Jian bowed, “I’ll know what to do.” After that, Sun Jian left the guild master’s office, leaving Governor Eli alone together with Han Jue, Han Mei, Ling, Rudy, Anna and Barlog. “Now that everything is done, let me introduce each other again”, Ling clapped before standing up. “Governor Eli, meet my master, the previous guild master of Gale’s Tailwind City adventurers branch, the invincible Han Jue”, Ling said with pride. Rudy, Anna and Barlog nearly spat out their drinks while Han Mei chuckled.
Han Jue felt a little bit embarrassed by Ling’s words and seeing the reaction from his friends, Han Jue’s face could not help turning beet red. “And teacher, this is Governor Eli, the one that governs Gale sent from the kingdom itself”, Ling said, looking at Han Jue with sparkly eyes. “Greetings”, Han Jue lightly said. Governor Eli let out an exasperated sigh, “I’m sorry that we had to meet in such conditions, mister Han Jue. I hope our future endeavour will not be like that.” Han Jue snorted, “What happened, happens, I guess. I take it you heard about my story from Ling?” Han Jue scrutinized Governor Eli.
“I have”, Governor Eli nodded solemnly, “You are looking for the one responsible for the destruction of the Han clan, yes?” Han Jue calmly nodded, “Indeed. I take it you know who or what party is responsible?” Governor Eli furrowed his eyebrows, “I do. They call themselves the Dark Heavens.” Han Jue bit his lips, “The Dark Heavens?” Governor Eli nodded, “Yes, they are a plague that ravaged this land long before I was born.”

Sylphid Academy, Main Hall,
Eru, Long, the armoured woman, Sydney and Meng Huo stood near the exit of the hall, facing a silver-haired female student in front of them. “Nice to meet you, everyone. My name is Aelgh, Principal Helga’s personal disciple. Pleased to be your acquaintances”, the silver-haired female student introduced herself with joyful energy. Eru’s eyes twitched when he looked at the silver-haired female student in front of him. Aelgh winked at Eru before chatting to the armoured woman. “What’s wrong, brother Eru? Anything bothering you?” Long, noticing Eru’s disturbed looks, asked.
“N-no, it’s nothing, nothing,” Eru replied. “Hmm”, Long scrutinized Eru, “Don’t tell me you are smitten by this Aelgh?” he asked. “No”, Eru blatantly denied, “There is nothing wrong.” Long shrugged his shoulders, “Okay.” Then, Long left the main hall alongside Meng Huo, the armoured woman and Aelgh. Eru let out an exasperated sigh, “What is that woman planning now?” he scratched the back of his head. As Eru followed behind Long, the armoured woman, Sydney, Meng Huo and Aelgh, he recalled his conversation with Meng Huo, Long, and Principal Helga the day before. “She did tell us that she was going to come personally. I did not expect that she would come with her real appearance”, Eru softly muttered.
After that, Eru walked outside of Sylphid Academy’s building with the armoured woman, Long, Meng Huo, Sydney and Aelgh. Once they arrived at the entrance, Eru and his party was met with Cinna, the blue-haired female soldier and the rest of the adventurers and the soldiers. Both of Sydney’s guardians were amongst the group, and even Julian Albert and the rest of the students and academy staff were there. Principal Helga was in front of the large group, with her left hand behind her back and her right hand holding a long, wooden staff. Principal Helga approached Eru and his party, “I, Principal Helga, would like to thank you for saving us on behalf of Sylphid Academy.”
Principal Helga bowed, followed by the students and academy staff. Then, Cinna, the adventurers and the soldiers all clapped their hands simultaneously. The armoured woman shook her head, “No, it is the effort from all of us that saved the academy.” Principal Helga let out a warm smile, “However, it is a fact that you here, alongside Amy behind me, are the core that made sure the enemy can’t attack us anymore. Based on that fact alone, you are everyone’s saviour.” The armoured woman nodded, “You are too kind, principal.”
After that, Principal Helga knocked her long, wooden staff to the ground, creating fireworks in the sky. After that, Principal Helga looked at Eru and his party once more before pointing her staff in the direction of Sylphid City, “Now, our crisis is not yet over. I, alongside the brave students and staff of Sylphid Academy, alongside the adventurers and the soldiers, will stay here and protect the academy if the enemy strikes again.” She continued, “We are forever grateful. Thank you.” After that, the students and the academy’s staff repeated Principal Helga’s words simultaneously, “Thank you.”
