How strong is he?” she launched a barrage of questions with sparkly eyes. Sydney, too, grabbed Eru from behind on his shoulders, “Tell us, teacher, tell us”, Sydney urged with brightened eyes. “Calm down, Syndra. Ask me one by one”, Eru said, flustered and overwhelmed. Watching this, Long smirked a little while Aelgh let out a small chuckle. “Is it always like this with them?” Aelgh asked Long.
Long scrutinized Aelgh thoroughly before crossing his arms, “Pretty much. Brother Eru is always the centre of attention no matter where he goes.” Aelgh let out a small smile, “Sounds like you’ve been with him a lot.” Long shook his head, “No, not really. But I can tell the moment I met him that brother Eru is special.” Aelgh raised one of her eyebrows, “Really? How?” Long squinted his eyes at the silver-haired female student beside him, “You don’t need to know”, Long scoffed before turning his attention back at Eru. After that brief intermission, Eru and his party continued their journey back toward Sylphid City.
“Phew, we are finally back”, Sydney smiled when looking at the familiar majestic arch of the entrance of Sylphid City. “This is where we part for a while”, Sydney turned to look at Eru and the others, “I’m going to report to master Duncan and my father about this situation.” Eru nodded, “Okay. Be careful.” The armoured woman crossed her arms, “See you later, Sydney.” After that, Sydney waved her hand in goodbye as she returned to the D/D Building on the east side of the main plaza. After Sydney left, the armoured woman looked at Eru, Long, Aelgh and Meng Huo, “Shall we head towards the Adventurers Guild?” the armoured woman said. Long raised his eyebrows, “You’re not returning to the army?”
The armoured woman shook her head, “No. The rest of my subordinates could take care of themselves.” Long shrugged his shoulders, “Suit yourself.” Then, the armoured woman led Eru, Long, Meng Huo and Aelgh toward the Adventurers Guild. Along the way, the armoured woman led Eru and the rest of the party, avoiding crowded paths and places so that they would not get recognized. The armoured woman raised her head, “Finally, we’re here”, she said while looking at the building in front of her. “Welcome”, a blonde-haired male receptionist greeted Eru and his party behind the table. “Oh my”, the blonde-haired male receptionist’s eyes squinted when he saw the armoured woman, “The guild master is going to be happy that you are safe and sound. Please go directly ahead to his office using the elevator nearby”, the blonde-haired male receptionist said.
“Thank you”, the armoured woman slightly bowed before approaching the elevator while glancing around her. “Hmm? What’s wrong?” Eru asked, “Anyone suspicious?” The armoured woman shook her head, “No. It’s just that I rarely went in here due to my occupation”, she said with a wry smile. “Oh. You know how to use the elevator, then?” The armoured woman slightly snorted, “Of course, I know. Who do you think I am?” she said before pressing the up-arrow button. Meng Huo slightly tilted his head, “Why are we waiting here? Shouldn’t we need to go to the stairs to climb up?” Eru smiled, “You, my friend, have missed out on a lot.”
Right after Eru said that, the elevator rang before the door opened on its own. “Whoa”, Meng Huo’s eyes widened, “What is this sorcery?” he muttered. “You will see a lot more from now on, senior”, the armoured woman smiled before walking inside the elevator. “Fascinating”, Meng Huo said, following the armoured woman inside the elevator, then Eru, Long and Aelgh before the elevator’s door closed. Once inside, Meng Huo could feel that the floor beneath him moved slightly. “What’s going on?” Meng Huo furrowed his eyebrows. “We are moving up”, Aelgh said with a smile. “Up?” Meng Huo raised his head. “Yes, up”, Aelgh nodded, “Mankind has advanced further beyond imagination ever since Magi-Tech was invented.”
“Magi-Tech?” as soon as Meng Huo asked that, the elevator’s door opened. “Oh, where are we now?” Meng Huo observed his surroundings. “Look”, the armoured woman pointed her thumb at the windows. “Whoa, that’s neat”, Meng Huo rubbed his chin in wonder. The armoured woman smiled, “Let us proceed. The guild master’s office is just down this hallway.” After that, the armoured woman walked in front of Eru, Long, Aelgh and Meng Huo, approaching the guild master’s office with steady steps. “Who’s there?” a familiar man’s voice resounded behind the door asked. “Open the door, you bastard, or you will sleep on the couch tonight”, the armoured woman said with a smirk.
Right after the armoured woman said that, a sound of a man falling over behind the door could be heard. Then, the door was quickly opened by a familiar man with a goatee. “Welcome home, darling”, Alexandro spread his arms wide with a warm smile. The armoured woman flew into his embrace, but instead of hugging Alexandro, the armoured woman punched him in the stomach. “Ouch, ouch, ouch”, Alexandro clutched his stomach, “I see that this trip had made you stronger”, he chuckled. “Of course”, the armoured woman crossed her arms with a smug look on her face, “Who do you think your wife is?”
After that, Alexandro slightly raised his head, finding the armoured woman, Eru, Long, Aelgh and Meng Huo. Alexandro squinted his eyes, “Well, there are two new faces here.” Meng Huo slightly waved his hand while Aelgh just smiled, “Hello”; the two greeted Alexandro at the same time. The armoured woman’s expression turned serious, “We need to talk.” Alexandro saw his wife’s face and nodded, “We do. Come inside.” After that, Alexandro led Eru, Long, Aelgh, Meng Huo and the armoured woman into his office before slamming down the office door shut.

“You!” Eru exclaimed when he entered Alexandro’s office and saw a familiar face. “How are you doing?” a bald-headed guy waved his hand with a smile. Eru furrowed his eyebrows, “Had enough bullying other people?” The bald-headed guy chuckled wryly, “I have. One good smack in the head and a night in your own bed and reflection on your actions do wonder for me.” Alexandro shook his head, “Do find it in your heart to forgive Deddy, Eru. He had not been himself since he was fifteen.” Eru turned his head at Alexandro, “What do you mean?” he asked. Alexandro was about to reply, but Deddy interrupted him, “It’s okay, guild master. I’m someone that deserved what I’ve gotten.”
Alexandro shrugged his shoulders, “Suit yourself.” Then, Alexandro looked at Eru and his party, “Please sit and make yourself comfortable.” Then, Alexandro took out six small cups and filled them with his favourite carbonated water. “Please”, Alexandro gave them out one by one to Eru and his party. “Thanks” Eru received the carbonated water from Alexandro before quickly drinking it. “Ah, that’s the stuff”, Eru wiped his mouth with a smile. Alexandro raised his eyebrows, “It’s good, right?” Eru nodded, “Yup. It is soo good. You’ve got to give me one bottle of that one.” Alexandro smiled, “Sure. But after all of these are over”, Alexandro said.
After that, Alexandro sat on his chair, leaning inwards, his eyes turned serious, “Before we begin, I would like to know about the two of you” Alexandro turned his head towards Meng Huo and Aelgh. “Me?” Meng Huo pointed at himself, “I’m nothing special.” The armoured woman shook her head, “This is Meng Huo, a veteran of the Unification War. Direct subordinates of Simbad, the Fierce Lion. And he would like to help us”, she interjected with a smile. “Hooh”, Alexandro’s eyes brightened, “Welcome to the team, senior Meng Huo.” Meng Huo waved his hand, “No, no. You are too polite. I’m just a nobody now compared to back then.”
“Don’t be so modest, senior Meng Huo. I’m sure you would be a great help”, Alexandro said with a smile. After that, Alexandro’s gaze turned towards Aelgh, “Will you tell me who you are, little lady?” he asked. Aelgh’s lips curled up into a smile before stepping forward. Aelgh curtsy bowed, “Nice to meet you; my name is Aelgh, a student from Sylphid Academy and Principal Helga’s personal disciple. Once again, it is a pleasure to meet you.” After hearing this, Alexandro furrowed his eyebrows, “Principal Helga’s personal disciple?” Alexandro took a few seconds to ponder about it before opening his mouth, “But I never heard about that old hag having a personal disciple”, he softly muttered.
Aelgh’s eyes twitched while Eru chuckled. Alexandro quickly shook his head, “In any case, welcome. More help is always appreciated.” Alexandro realized what he had just said before coughing in embarrassment, “Anyway—” After that, Alexandro leaned his body forward, and his expression changed, “Now that we finished our introduction, let us begin this meeting.”
