Chapter 236: Chapter 236
“You!” Eru exclaimed when he entered Alexandro’s office and saw a familiar face. “How are you doing?” a bald-headed guy waved his hand with a smile. Eru furrowed his eyebrows, “Had enough bullying other people?” The bald-headed guy chuckled wryly, “I have. One good smack in the head and a night in your own bed and reflection on your actions do wonder for me.” Alexandro shook his head, “Do find it in your heart to forgive Deddy, Eru. He had not been himself since he was fifteen.” Eru turned his head at Alexandro, “What do you mean?” he asked. Alexandro was about to reply, but Deddy interrupted him, “It’s okay, guild master. I’m someone that deserved what I’ve gotten.”
Alexandro shrugged his shoulders, “Suit yourself.” Then, Alexandro looked at Eru and his party, “Please sit and make yourself comfortable.” Then, Alexandro took out six small cups and filled them with his favourite carbonated water. “Please”, Alexandro gave them out one by one to Eru and his party. “Thanks” Eru received the carbonated water from Alexandro before quickly drinking it. “Ah, that’s the stuff”, Eru wiped his mouth with a smile. Alexandro raised his eyebrows, “It’s good, right?” Eru nodded, “Yup. It is soo good. You’ve got to give me one bottle of that one.” Alexandro smiled, “Sure. But after all of these are over”, Alexandro said.
After that, Alexandro sat on his chair, leaning inwards, his eyes turned serious, “Before we begin, I would like to know about the two of you” Alexandro turned his head towards Meng Huo and Aelgh. “Me?” Meng Huo pointed at himself, “I’m nothing special.” The armoured woman shook her head, “This is Meng Huo, a veteran of the Unification War. Direct subordinates of Simbad, the Fierce Lion. And he would like to help us”, she interjected with a smile. “Hooh”, Alexandro’s eyes brightened, “Welcome to the team, senior Meng Huo.” Meng Huo waved his hand, “No, no. You are too polite. I’m just a nobody now compared to back then.”
“Don’t be so modest, senior Meng Huo. I’m sure you would be a great help”, Alexandro said with a smile. After that, Alexandro’s gaze turned towards Aelgh, “Will you tell me who you are, little lady?” he asked. Aelgh’s lips curled up into a smile before stepping forward. Aelgh curtsy bowed, “Nice to meet you; my name is Aelgh, a student from Sylphid Academy and Principal Helga’s personal disciple. Once again, it is a pleasure to meet you.” After hearing this, Alexandro furrowed his eyebrows, “Principal Helga’s personal disciple?” Alexandro took a few seconds to ponder about it before opening his mouth, “But I never heard about that old hag having a personal disciple”, he softly muttered.
Aelgh’s eyes twitched while Eru chuckled. Alexandro quickly shook his head, “In any case, welcome. More help is always appreciated.” Alexandro realized what he had just said before coughing in embarrassment, “Anyway—” After that, Alexandro leaned his body forward, and his expression changed. “Now that we finished our introduction let us begin this meeting. Syndra, can you tell us what you discovered during your mission?” Alexandro asked. The armoured woman squinted her eyes, “Let me tell you what happened.”

While Eru, the armoured woman, Long, Meng Huo, and Aelgh had a meeting with Alexandro and Deddy, Sydney was standing in front of her father and Duncan inside the latter’s office. “So, you tell me there is a red-haired woman, and that red-haired woman is the mastermind of all this?” Duncan rubbed his chin. “At least she is the mastermind behind the monstrous creatures that attacked Sylphid Academy”, Sydney said. “Hmm, and you tell me that the Sylphid City government is planning something big?” Sydney’s father, Rex, asked. Sydney nodded, “Yes, dad. Principal Helga told me about it. And the Adventurers Guild Master wants to do something about it. Here you go”, Sydney handed a letter to Duncan.
Duncan opened the letter and read the context. After a while, Duncan’s eyes nearly popped out of his socket in anger. “The audacity!” Duncan yelled while slamming his desk hard. “What’s wrong, master Duncan?” Rex asked. “See for yourself”, Duncan grunted as he handed the letter to Rex. Rex took a few seconds to read the letter before his expression turned to anger. “Fucking shit!” Rex threw the letter to the ground, “Is this all true, Sydney?” Rex asked Sydney. The latter nodded, “It is all true. The Sylphid City government is colluding with the Demonic Cult to take over the area for their own benefits.” Duncan gritted his teeth, “I know that the government here is corrupt, but I did not expect that they would collude with the Demonic Cult.”
“One thing I hate the most in the world is The Demonic Cult. I can’t believe that The Demonic Cult dares to rear their heads again”, Duncan added with anger on his face. “Rex!” Duncan shouted. “Yes, sir?” Rex looked at Duncan. “You go and tell our men to prepare themselves. Spare no effort for this; we are going to war”, Duncan said. “Sir!” Rex saluted before leaving the room. “And Captain Sydney”, Duncan looked at Sydney. “Sir”, Sydney straightened up her posture. “You go to the Adventurers Guild and tell guild master Alexandro that I will join him in his battle”, Duncan said while writing something. “Here you go”, Duncan handed a letter to Sydney, “Give this to Alexandro, and he’ll know what to do.”
“Yes, sir!” Sydney saluted after taking Duncan’s letter. Then, Sydney proceeded to leave Duncan’s office, leaving the latter alone. Duncan gritted his teeth in anger while hard clenching his fist, “Demonic Cult!” he growled softly.

“Unbelievable”, Alexandro’s mouth was agape after hearing the armoured woman’s story. “Yeah”, the armoured woman nodded, “All of what I’m saying is true.” Deddy gasped for air as he panted hard on his spot, “All those horrible people I kidnapped… You’re telling me that the Demonic Cult used them for experiments to create monsters?” The armoured woman crossed her arms and nodded, “I’m sorry to say, but yeah, they were created into a monster and human hybrid.” Deddy put his palm on his forehead, “Holy mother Vaizeu, what have I done?” Deddy lamented. Eru looked at Deddy with confusion in his eyes.
Alexandro, noticing Eru’s gaze, threw a glance at Eru before shaking his head. Eru nodded in understanding before throwing his attention elsewhere. “So, when the time comes, we are expecting at least an army of monstrous creatures equal to that of a 2nd Grade Aura Master?” Alexandro asked with furrowed eyebrows. “Yes, and expect worse. There are also a lot of creatures that are stronger than a 2nd Grade Aura Master, even reaching that of a 4th Grade Aura Master”, the armoured woman replied. “Then, this is not good”, Alexandro rubbed his chin, “We need more force to contend against them.” Just as Alexandro had said that the door to his office was knocked.
“Who is it?” Alexandro asked. “It’s me, guild master. A person by the name of Sydney is here to see you”, a familiar woman’s voice resounded behind the door. “Come in”, Alexandro said, and the voice behind the door revealed herself. Sydney and the bob-cut, ginger-haired receptionist, May, were standing together. “Oh, perfect, Miss May, please come in”, Alexandro waved his hand. “And Captain Sydney, welcome, welcome”, Alexandro said while waving his hand, closing the door to his office remotely with his aura. May looked at everyone inside the room before finding Eru. Eru waved his hand, which May just nodded in response.
“To what do I owe this visit, Captain Sydney?” Alexandro leaned into his hands. “I came here to deliver this”, Sydney put the letter on Alexandro’s table, “And to tell you that Master Duncan will be cooperating with you fully in your operation.” Alexandro opened the letter, “Really? I thought D/D Group would always maintain their neutrality?” Sydney shook her head, “It all changes when the Demonic Cult got involved. Master Duncan loathed the Demonic Cult with all of his might”, Sydney said. Alexandro furrowed his eyebrows before folding the letter in his hands, “Alright. Please tell Duncan my gratitude.” Sydney bowed, “I will.” After that, Sydney walked to stand behind Eru.
“Hmm? You are not leaving, Captain Sydney?” Alexandro asked. “I came here to deliver Master Duncan’s message. And now I’m here as teacher Eru’s disciple”, Sydney explained politely. Alexandro slightly raised his eyebrows, “Is that so?” he scrutinized Eru. Eru winced a little, “Please don’t look at me like that. It’s not nice to stare at people for so long”, Eru quipped. “Haha, sorry, sorry”, Alexandro waved his hand while scratching his cheek. ‘It’s hard to believe that the young man in front of me is the champion of Aeolus Great Fighting Competition and the one that almost single-handedly saved Sylphid Academy,’ Alexandro thought inside of his head. Then, Alexandro’s expression turned serious, “Now, since I think everyone is already here, let us continue from where we left off.”
