“Why, of course”, Alexandro said with a small smile. “Then, are what you said in this letter true?” the commander of the Royal Army squinted his eyes, scrutinizing the adventurer’s guild master carefully. Alexandro’s expression changed to be more serious, “Yes, all of them are true. I have proof of that in my possession.” Then, the commander of the Royal Army furrowed his eyebrows, “Can you give them to me?” he asked. “No”, Alexandro firmly declined, “I am sorry, but I don’t think I can do that.” The commander of the Royal Army crossed his arms, “This is an order, guild master. I don’t think you have the right to refuse”, he said, asserting his dominance.
“Even more so when it is an order. I will not give it to you no matter what happens. At least until all of these are over”, Alexandro stood firm in his decisions. “Do you really want to oppose me, guild master?” the commander of the Royal Army exerted his prowess, creating a pressure using his powerful aura. “Guh”, Alexandro grunted, ‘What pressure. As expected from a commander of the Royal Army,’ he thought inside of his head. Seeing that Alexandro was trying his hardest to resist his pressure and watching the guild master’s stubbornness throughout his eyes, the commander of the Royal Army sighed, “Fine, you can hold on to it for now”, he said while releasing his pressure.
“Hah, hah, hah”, Alexandro panted heavily, “As expected from the youngest commander of the Royal Army, your reputation precedes you”, he said with a wry smile. “You are not bad yourself. I could count with one hand people that managed to withstand my pressure and still smile at the end”, the commander of the Royal Army said casually. “Hehe, thanks”, Alexandro grinned; however, inwardly, Alexandro thought, ‘You damn bastard! I nearly died withstanding your pressure just for a few seconds, and you’re praising me? Damn, handsome bastard,’ he cursed in his mind.
The commander of the Royal Army relaxed his posture, “I know that look. People often looked at me like that when I tried to genuinely praise them. I bet that you’re cursing me inside of your head, right, guild master?” he asked while smirking. “N-no, of course not. I don’t know what you’re talking about”, Alexandro stuttered while waving his hand. ‘Fuck, is this guy a mind reader or something?’ Alexandro gritted his teeth. “Heh”, the commander of the Royal Army grinned, “I bet right now you are thinking, ‘Fuck, is this guy a mind reader or something,’ right? Worry not, I am not a mind reader”, the commander of the Royal Army casually said. Alexandro flinched when he heard the commander of the Royal Army’s words.
“Haha, it’s always fun when I do this to people”, the commander of the Royal Army chuckled. “Although I want to continue this for a while, I think I should stop playing around. Now tell me, guild master, about this plan of yours to uproot the corruption of Sylphid City’s government”, the commander of the Royal Army said, looking at the guild master intensely. However, before Alexandro was about to say something, someone opened the door to his office. “Yo, Alexandro! I came for that carbonated water of yours” a familiar raven-haired young man entered the room, which caused Alexandro to facepalm. “Huh? Big brother? Why are you here?” Eru, the familiar young man with raven hair, eyes widened in surprise.
“Eru!” the commander of the Royal Army proceeded to hug his little brother, “How have you been, you little squirt?” he smiled while locking Eru’s head in his arms. “Big brother, come on, you’re crushing my head”, Eru said while struggling to free his head. “Hahaha, like this will do it. You’ve been trained by father, right? Compared to that, this is nothing” the commander of the Royal Army continued to locked Eru’s head in his arms while moving around. “Uh, you know this young man, lord commander?” Alexandro asked with raised eyebrows. “Of course”, the commander of the Royal Army put his arms on his hip, letting go of Eru’s head, “He is my precious younger brother, the best younger brother in the world”, he bragged with a slightly raised head.
“Can you please stop that, big brother, Evan? It’s embarrassing for me”, Eru scratched the back of his head. Evan, the commander of the Royal Army, rubbed Eru’s head, “Why are you embarrassed for something that is true?” he smiled while messing up Eru’s hair. “O-oh, is that so?” Alexandro’s eyes twitched a little while watching the antics of the two brothers in front of him. Evan looked at Alexandro, who was observing him and Eru intensely, “Why are you looking at us like that?” Alexandro quickly waved his hand, “Oh, I was just wondering about your hair colour.” Evan touched his hair, “Oh, this? My sister and I resembled our mother while my cute, little brother here” he ruffled Eru’s hair, “Resembled our father.”
“By the way, big brother. What are you doing here in the guild master’s office? Aren’t you busy doing army stuff?” Eru asked while combing his hair with his hand. Evan stared at Eru before sighing, “I’m guessing you are here because you are involved in this matter?” Evan asked Eru back. “What matter?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows. “This”, Evan handed a letter to Eru, “Open it.” Alexandro tried extending his hand, “But, lord commander, surely he should not see the content of the letter?” Evan crossed his arms, “What does it matter? He’s my little brother. I trust him completely. Besides, didn’t I let you hold the evidence close in your hand before?” he said while staring directly at Alexandro’s eyes.
Meanwhile, Eru folded the letter and gifted it back to Evan, “You are here for the corruption, big brother?” Evan nodded, “Yeah. I received reports about the worrying situation in Sylphid City, so I decided to check it out”, Evan explained. “But, instead of here, shouldn’t you visit the army first?” Eru asked. “Well, that’s the thing… I did not come here alone”, Evan smiled wryly while scratching the back of his head. “You are not alone?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows. “That’s right. Evan did not come here alone. He’s with me” suddenly, Eru heard a familiar woman’s voice resound inside Alexandro’s office. “This voice—” Eru squinted his eyes. “Yup, it’s me, little brother”, a blonde-haired woman appeared suddenly behind Eru and hugged him tightly.
“Urgh, big sis Angelica, let go of me”, Eru said while struggling. “Oh my, you’ve grown, little brother”, Angelica pinched Eru’s cheek after letting Eru go, “How have you been? Judging by your looks, women should be swimming towards your embrace, right?” Angelica said teasingly while grinning. “Awawawa”, Eru tried saying something but with his cheeks pinched, no sensible words could come out of his mouth. “Ah, you are so cute. As expected from my little brother”, Angelica said with glee. Alexandro, who was watching all of this on the side, was confused and amused at the same time. After a few seconds, Angelica let go of Eru’s cheek before looking at Alexandro. “I’m sorry to suddenly barged into your office like this. Nice to meet you; my name is Angelica, Eru’s big sister and this dork’s twin sister”, Angelica said.
Alexandro furrowed his eyebrows, “Wait a minute. Your name is Angelica, and lord commander’s name is Evan…” he rubbed his chin. Then, suddenly, Alexandro’s eyes widened in surprise, “You two are the Twin Stars of Zephyr?” he exclaimed with his mouth agape. “Yes, people did call us that once upon a time”, Angelica smiled. Evan sighed, “I thought that name was dead and buried.” Eru’s eyes sparkle with interest, “Oh, what’s wrong with that name, brother? Are you embarrassed, Twin Stars of Zephyr?” Eru said while cheekily grinning at Evan. “You say that one more time and watch what I’ll do to you”, Evan gritted his teeth. “I’m sorry, big brother. I won’t say it again, oh, one of the Twin Stars of Zephyr”, Eru smirked.
“You—” Evan grunted, “Come here!” he then proceeded to chase Eru, who was running around in a circle. Watching this, Angelica sighed in exasperation before stomping her foot, “It’s nice to play around and all, but we are not at home, guys”, she said while emitting her mana. Eru and Evan immediately stopped their antics when Angelica emitted her mana, “Yes, ma’am!” they both said in unison before obediently walking behind Angelica. Angelica turned her attention toward Alexandro, “I’m sorry for my brothers’ behaviour. I’ll make sure to discipline them thoroughly” she slightly bowed. Alexandro was slightly taken aback, “T-that’s okay, I don’t mind”, he said.
“Good, I was hoping you would not mind. If it does bother you, please tell me honestly, and I will proceed to erase your memories”, Angelica said with a casual smile. Alexandro’s mouth was wide agape, “Uh, right”, he said while slightly stuttering. “Then, bye”, Angelica waved her staff, and light mana particles surrounded her, Eru, and Evan. In the blink of an eye, Angelica, Eru and Evan disappeared from Alexandro’s vision, leaving only the mess that they made.
