“I should go back. It’s already night” Eru stood up from his chair. “Oh, I did not realize”, Evan stood up, “Where are you staying, little brother?” he asked. “I’m staying with Duncan in his building.” General Ludwig rubbed his chin, “Duncan?” Eru nodded, “Yeah, Duncan. The one that owned D/D Building”, Eru explained. “That Duncan?” General Ludwig’s eyes nearly popped out of his socket, “He let you stay in his building?” Eru slightly tilted his head, “Yes, is there something wrong?” Angelica looked at her beloved strangely, “You weren’t paying attention earlier, huh?” General Ludwig sighed, “I am. But there are so many Duncan out there that I never think it’s D/D’s Duncan.”
“He’s actually an old acquaintance of our parents”, Evan said. “Yup. Although I just found out yesterday about it”, Eru chuckled. “Is that so? The more I discovered about your family, the more amazed I became, Ange” General Ludwig smiled at Angelica. “Of course”, Angelica puffed out her chest, “That’s why I don’t look for someone mediocre to be my partner. So, hurry up and get stronger. Beat my dad and take my hand in marriage already.” General Ludwig scratched the back of his head, “Haha, I will try my best”, he said with a forced smile. “Alright, you lovebirds, cut it out”, Evan sighed. “Haha”, Eru laughed, “Well then, I will not disturb you lovebirds anymore. I know when to leave when I’m not needed.”
Angelica threw a pillow at Eru’s head, “Yeah, go away, stinky little brother.” Eru put down the pillow while chuckling. “Why don’t I accompany you, little brother? I don’t feel like being a third wheel tonight”, Evan offered. “Sure”, Eru nodded, “I would love to.” After that, Evan accompanied Eru to leave General Ludwig’s house, leaving the two lovebirds, Angelica and General Ludwig, alone. On the way back to D/D Building, Eru put his hands on his back, “So, big brother, when are you going to introduce your girlfriend to me?” he asked. Evan flinched inwardly before chopping Eru right on his head. “Ouch, what was that for? Don’t tell me you did not have a girlfriend?”
Evan bit his lips before shaking his head, “No, not yet. I’m waiting for the right person.” Eru’s eyes widened, “Really? With your looks? Surely girls must flock over you, right?” Evan coughed lightly, “What do you think girls are? Animals? Why would they flock over a person?” Eru shrugged his shoulders, “Well, because of your looks plus your achievements? Surely a handsome devil like you had embraced a couple of women, right?” Eru asked, whilst slightly tilting his head.
Evan blushed a little before shaking his head, “No. There are no girls flocking over me”, Evan said. “Wait, don’t tell me you’re still a virgin?” Eru’s eyes opened wide in awe. “Shut up!” Evan chopped Eru’s head again, making the latter clutch his head. “Ouch, what was that for? Being a virgin is great—” before Eru managed to finish his sentence, he and Evan could hear the sound of fighting and screaming. Eru and Evan’s expressions changed, “You stay here, little brother. I’ll go check it out”, Evan said before jetting away. Eru gathered his aura on his feet before stepping up, following Evan right behind him. “I’m not a kid anymore, big brother.” Evan smiled, “Heh, I guess you are not. Come, let us hurry.”
“Right”, Eru nodded. Then, Eru and Evan rushed in towards the direction of the sounds. Once they arrived at the scene, Eru found a familiar-looking bald man was fending off a few men cloaked in black. “Deddy”, Eru called out, “Who are these guys? Need any help?” Deddy slightly turned his head, “Later. Yes, please. These guys are quite strong”, Deddy replied while parrying one of the men cloaked in black’s scimitar. “Oh, and make sure to leave one alive. Guild Master Alexandro would like to—” before Deddy managed to finish his sentence; however, the men cloaked in black were all subdued in the hands of Evan. “Is this all?” Evan squinted his eyes. “I think so. I did not sense any other people”, Eru replied after sending out an aura pulse.
“Tch, tch, tch. Little brother, you are still too green”, Evan’s lips curled up slightly before disappearing from his spot. A few seconds later, Evan reappeared at the same spot, holding two men cloaked in black in each of his hands. “What the— Where do you find them?” Eru asked. Evan pointed up, “On the roof. They were lying right beside two pigeons to mask their presence.” After that, Evan banged the two men cloaked in black against each other, knocking them out. While all of this was going on, Deddy was standing on the side, astounded with his mouth agape. Noticing this, Eru smirked, “What’s wrong, Deddy?” Deddy just shook his head, “I’m fine, I’m fine. We need to bring these guys back to Alexandro”, Deddy said.
“You and your friend take a few for Alexandro. I’ll bring a few to Ludwig”, Evan said before stacking a few bodies to the side and then picking it up altogether. “See you later, little brother”, Evan said before leaving. Deddy turned his head toward Eru, “Who is that? He came and left like a storm”, Deddy said. “My older brother. Oh, yeah, what are you doing here?” Eru asked. “Guild Master Alexandro got a tip about some information about my father’s faction, so he sent me. However, who knew that it was all a trap to lure one of the guild master’s people”, Deddy replied. “And I was fighting them with all my power when you two came here. Thanks for saving my ass”, Deddy smiled. “Sure”, Eru nodded, “Shall we bring these lot to the guild master?” Deddy nodded, carrying one of the men in black; he and Eru proceeded to leave the area.

The Mayor’s Residence
The large man with a curly moustache woke up from his slumber, feeling sore all over his body. “What happened last night?” the large man with a curly moustache massaged his forehead. “All I remember was giving orders to my subordinates, and then everything is hazy. Maybe I’m too tired?” the large man with a curly moustache pondered. “Oh, yeah. I’ve got to call that man in black for tonight. We need this to proceed smoothly in order for us to gain an advantage towards that bastard Alexandro”, the large man with a curly moustache muttered to himself before taking out a small crystal ball underneath his pocket. Then, the large man with a curly moustache inserted a small mana stone inside the bottom of the crystal ball before the crystal ball lit up brightly.
Meanwhile, Zemel was in his room, meditating, when he felt a surge of mana in his surroundings. “Who interrupted me this early in the morning?” Zemel grumbled before standing up. Then, Zemel noticed that his crystal ball was lit up. “Who called me?” Zemel furrowed his eyebrows. When Zemel remembered that the only one who could call him throughout that crystal ball was the large man with a curly moustache, he became wary. “Don’t tell me the guy behind that fat bastard found me already?” Zemel frowned. Then, Zemel took out the crystal ball before heading into a room with many magic circles. “Only three left, but it should be enough for blocking tracking magic”, Zemel softly muttered before injecting mana into the crystal ball.
“What is it?” Zemel asked with his usually hoarse voice. The large man with a curly moustache smiled, and his eyes shone brightly, “Oh, you answered, my lord”, he said cheerily. ‘Huh?’ Zemel’s eyes squinted, ‘Did this guy forget what happened to him yesterday?’ Zemel thought. “My lord, my factions and I are ready to strike anytime. Although there are some inconveniences, we can proceed further with our plans”, the large man with a curly moustache said. “Good”, Zemel nodded. “Oh, yeah, my lord. When are you going to send in that powerful army of yours? My associates and I are waiting. The docks are ready for transport.” Still suspicious inside his mind, Zemel opened his mouth, “Tonight. I’ll send them to the docks tonight.”
The large man with a curly moustache nodded, “Thank you very much, my lord” he bowed slightly. After that, Zemel wanted to ask about yesterday, but he hesitated. “What’s wrong, my lord? Looks like there is something on your mind”, the large man with a curly moustache asked. “Do you not remember what happened yesterday?” after hesitating for a while, Zemel finally asked. “No”, the large man with a curly moustache shook his head, “Apart from reprimanding my subordinates, I did not remember anything.” Zemel pondered for a while before nodding, “Good. Be sure your side is ready. We need this plan to succeeed, or else there would be consequences.” After that, Zemel immediately turned off the crystal ball before crushing it with his hand, “What is that guy planning….”
