Reincarnator’s Adventures – Chapter 257

Chapter 257

Chapter 257: Chapter 257

“That is all. Any further questions?” Alexandro asked with a small smile. Eru shook his head, “Nope, no more questions.” Alexandro nodded, “Good. Now, we will gather everyone back in the training hall and explain our plan. After that, once the sun goes down, we will move.”

Then, Eru, the armoured woman, Alexandro and General Ludwig, who was now in disguise, proceeded to head toward the Adventurers Guild’s training hall. Along the way, General Ludwig approached Eru, “Hey. You alright?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows, “Yes, why wouldn’t I be?” General Ludwig chuckled slightly before patting Eru on his shoulders, “You know you’ve got the worse part of this, right?” he asked. “I do”, Eru nodded, “After all, the guild master purposedly put me in the position of the leader.” General Ludwig shook his head while smiling wryly, “That’s not it.” Eru looked at his future brother-in-law as his body tensed up, “What do you mean?” General Ludwig slightly lowered his head, “The giant clock tower in the middle of the business district… That’s likely where the enemy’s boss will be hiding.”

Eru’s shoulders relaxed a little, “Well, that’s it?” Eru said with a nonchalant attitude. General Ludwig was taken aback slightly, “What do you mean, that’s it? You know it will be more than likely that the boss from the Demonic Cult will be hiding there, right?” he asked. “Oh, I know. I am looking forward to it. After all, we had some unfinished business”, Eru said while grinning. “You’ve had some unfinished business? You know who it is?” General Ludwig furrowed his eyebrows. “Wait, Alexandro did not tell you?” Eru asked. “No, he did not”, General Ludwig shook his head. Alexandro, who was walking in front of them, let out a small chuckle, “Oh, yeah, about that… I haven’t told him about it. It must’ve slipped my mind.” Eru sighed, “Short version, brother-in-law, that before this, I had to help Syndra on her mission to protect Sylphid Academy.”

“Oh, I heard about it. The one where the Demonic Cult sent off a bunch of monsters to attack the academy, right?” General Ludwig said. “Correct. And in that mission, we discovered where the Demonic Cult was hiding. Short story, I faced off against their leader over there”, Eru explained. “Did you win?” General Ludwig asked as the party walked outside the lift. “Yes, but she escaped”, Eru said with a hint of frustration. “Oh”, General Ludwig said as the party arrived at the training hall. “Uhm, why is it empty?” the armoured woman asked. Then, she looked at Alexandro, “Wait, did you not tell everybody to meet here?” she stared at Alexandro, making the latter uncomfortable.

Something clicked inside of Alexandro’s head as he let out an embarrassed chuckle, “Oh, yeah, I forgot.” The armoured woman sighed in exasperation before kicking Alexandro on his ass, “Hurry up and call them, then!” Alexandro hurriedly ran outside the training hall, “Yes, yes, darling, I’ll go hurry up!” Eru and General Ludwig let out a small laugh as Alexandro left a trail of smoke behind him. “What a man”, Eru said while still chuckling. “Well, you are going to be like that once you marry my sister, brother-in-law”, Eru said to General Ludwig while grinning. “Never”, General Ludwig harumph while crossing his arms. “Hehe, let’s just wait and see”, Eru giggled. The armoured woman sighed, “Hah, that guy never changes”, she said before letting out a small, warm smile.

After that, Eru, General Ludwig and the armoured woman waited inside the Adventurers Guild’s training hall for a few minutes before Alexandro finally returned. “Is it done?” the armoured woman asked while raising one of her eyebrows. “Hah, hah, hah, it is”, Alexandro said while panting. “Hah”, the armoured woman sighed, “Really…. Will you ever change?” the armoured woman said while shaking her head. Alexandro just let out a wry chuckle at the armoured woman’s remark. Eru and General Ludwig could not help but be amused when looking at the hopeless couple in front of them.

After a while, people began to gather inside the Adventurers Guild’s training hall once again. “Why are we here again?” asked Long as he grunted with displeasure. “I don’t know”, Aelgh shrugged her shoulders, “Maybe they want to explain their plans”, she said. “It’s not ‘maybe'”, Meng Huo shook his head, “They will explain the plan after everyone has finished gathering here. It showed the inexperience of the guild master. If it was General Simbad, he would never make these kinds of mistake”, Meng Huo slightly snorted. “Yeah, yeah, you General Simbad fanatic”, Aelgh shook her head in exasperation.

Then, once every single available adventurer and the others gathered inside the training hall, Alexandro once again took the central stage. He coughed a little to clear his throat before opening his mouth, “How is your rest, everybody? I hope it’s good. After all, once I tell you this plan, we will proceed to move against the mayor” he said with a serious tone. The expressions of the adventurers turned serious after hearing what Alexandro had to say. After that, Alexandro began to explain the details of the plans, how he would split the forces into three and which person went where. “That is all. Any objections?” Alexandro said with a loud voice with his hands behind his back.

Duncan clenched his fists hard after listening to Alexandro’s plan. “Finally, the time has come”, he muttered under his breath. Sydney, that was standing right beside Duncan, could not help but worry in her heart, ‘Master Duncan….’ Angelica shook her head, “Such a simple and straightforward plan. Will it even works?” Angelica asked. Evan rubbed his chin, “. The guild master really wants to show his dominance, huh? I think his plan will work. After all, he’s got Ludwig and our little brother by his side.” Angelica sighed, “Yeah, and us too if the higher-ups of the Demonic Cult decided to show themselves. What a clever man”, she said. “Haha, he is indeed clever. He must’ve known the relations between Eru and us beforehand and proceeded to bring Eru to his side to gain our help”, Evan said with a small smile.

Angelica shrugged, “So this is the strength of the man who had endured, huh? The central government was not wrong to trust the guild master”, she uttered. “However, Angelica, you do remember what must be done, right?” Evan asked while crossing his arms. “Of course, I do. Who do you think I am?” Angelica snorted. “Then it’s fine”, Evan smiled before looking at Eru, who was standing near Alexandro. “Look at our little brother”, Evan said. “Yeah. Such a serious face. I wonder if dad made a serious face, would he look like our little brother?” Angelica wondered. “Maybe. Eru really is like our father’s replica. You think that our little brother is a clone?” Evan furrowed his eyebrows. “Don’t say things like that”, Angelica smacked Evan on the head. “Ouch, sorry, sorry”, Evan let out a wry chuckle.

Meanwhile, Alexandro had just finished answering questions the adventurers threw at him. Alexandro looked up and saw that darkness was beginning to come out outside the small window on top of the training hall. “Perfect timing. The sun had set, and you all know what this means”, Alexandro said with a small grin. After looking at the eager adventurers, Alexandro let out a wide smile, “Yes, this is it. This is our time. Our path towards freedom starts now. Is everyone with me?” The crowd responded with a loud ‘yeah.’ Their voice reverberated throughout the whole training hall, creating a small quake inside. After that, the adventurers proceeded to ready themselves for the inevitable battle that was to come.

Then, after a while, the adventurers all gathered around the training hall, ready with their gear. Ducan had finished telling Rex and the rest of his forces with a magic crystal, while General Ludwig did the same to his men. Alexandro looked at the readied adventurers and the rest of Duncan’s forces with a smile. After that, Alexandro flared up his aura, fully showing his prowess as a 5th Grade Aura Master. “Tonight, we will hunt!” Alexandro projected his voice loudly, pumping out the adventurers and Duncan’s forces. “Ou!” the crowd replied before they formed into a team of two. The armoured woman and General Ludwig led most of the men, while Alexandro and Duncan were joined by Sydney and a few elite guardsmen from Duncan’s private army and a few strong adventurers.

Eru was joined by his usual party of Aelgh, Meng Huo and Long. Alexandro raised his hand, “Alright, team, move out!” he said. After that, the training hall was quickly left emptied as the team proceeded to go towards their designated place. “Is everyone in position?” Alexandro asked while speaking into a magic crystal. “We are right outside the mayor’s office”, the armoured woman replied, “We are directly staring at the mayor’s forces.” Alexandro nodded, “What about you, Eru?” Eru squinted his eyes, “We are right by the clock tower”, he said. “Good. We moved when Syndra gave the signal.” The armoured woman smiled. She put away the magic crystal in her pocket. However, the armoured woman left it on so that the others could hear her signal.

After that, the armoured woman raised her sword high before pointing at the mayor’s forces. “All units, charge!” she yelled out loud. “Ou!” the men behind her replied before charging right at the mayor’s forces. “Charge!” Alexandro yelled out while Eru quietly sneaked into the giant clock tower. Unbeknownst to them, a figure was watching all of these high up in the sky. “And thus, the battle to decide Sylphid City’s fate has begun”, the figure muttered before disappearing into the night sky.
