Reincarnator’s Adventures – Chapter 260

Chapter 260

Chapter 260: Chapter 260

A ball of giant rock emerged from the ground. Then, with a boom, a humanoid figure cloaked in black dived from the air, landing cleanly on top of the giant rock.

Then, the humanoid figure cloaked in black put its hands onto the giant rock before its hands were sucked inside by the giant rock. The humanoid figure cloaked in black’s body was being sucked too, leaving only its head on top of the giant rock. After that, the humanoid figure cloaked in black’s eyes glowed red before the giant rock grew arms and legs. Then, rocks began to cover the humanoid figure cloaked in black’s head, and the round, giant rock began to morph into a giant humanoid shape. “A human-based golem!?” Aelgh exclaimed while watching the giant rock’s transformation. “Hah, I haven’t seen one of these in ages”, Long said with a small grin on his face.

As the giant rock transformation into a humanoid golem was completed, Long felt a hint of joy as he flashed a brief smile. The humanoid golem roared. And with its roar, the area around the humanoid golem seemed to shake. “Hahaha”, Long let out a laugh, “This should be a little bit interesting. You will do for a warm-up.” Then, Long turned his head sideways, “You, don’t interfere. That is my prey”, he said. Aelgh put her hands up while shaking in exasperation, “Yeah, yeah. It’s all yours”, Aelgh said while slightly rolling her eyes. “Hah!” Long then yelled before jumping upwards toward the giant, humanoid golem. “Die!” Long shouted as he imbued his staff with fire mana. The giant, humanoid golem roared toward Long as if it was accepting Long’s challenge.

The giant humanoid golem set out a fist while Long brandished his mana imbued red staff. As the two collided, they created a massive spark that sent Long flying back while the giant, humanoid golem slid backwards. Fortunately, with Long’s agility, he was able to recover in the air and land cleanly on the ground. “Not bad. But can you handle a stronger force?” Long said before red-coloured mana surrounded him. After that, Long pointed his red staff toward the giant, humanoid golem’s head before a red magic circle appeared. “Fire Lance”, Long chanted as a spear made of fire emerged from within the red magic circle. After that, Long shot his spell at the giant, humanoid golem, forcing the latter to block with its hands.

“I knew you were going to do that”, Long exclaimed with a small grin on his face while rushing toward the giant, humanoid golem’s knees. “Rah!” Long yelled as he brandished his red staff toward the giant, humanoid golem’s knees joints. Long’s red staff and his Fire Lance hit the giant, humanoid golem at the same time, bringing imbalance to its posture. “Roar!” the giant, humanoid golem roared as it tumbled from the imbalance, crashing hard, directly to the ground. After that, Long walked toward where the giant, humanoid golem’s head was. Then, Long raised his red staff, “Sayonara. In the end, you too aren’t enough for a warm-up”, he said before swinging his red staff down.

However, what Long was expecting did not come. Long felt something was hindering his red staff, blocking it from crushing the giant, humanoid golem’s head. Long furrowed his eyebrows when he saw what was preventing his red staff from destroying the giant, humanoid golem’s head. “What is the meaning of this?” Long asked, glaring at Aelgh with intensity. “Can you please not destroy this thing? This thing is a valuable research material”, Aelgh said with a smile. Long tried exerting more force on his swing; however, no matter how much he tried, Aelgh’s hand did not budge. “Tch, fine, do what you want”, Long snorted before taking away his red staff. “Thank you”, Aelgh said with a smile while slightly tilting her head. After that, Aelgh looked at the giant, humanoid golem that was slumping onto the ground with a scary glare.

“It’s a pity that I don’t get to study the humanoid monstrous creature. However, you will do for my research”, Aelgh muttered softly before extending her hand toward the now slumping, giant humanoid golem. “Get in”, Aelgh smiled as a suction force so hard came out from Aelgh’s hand. After that, the giant, humanoid golem was sucked into Aelgh’s hand, leaving nothing behind. Watching all of this, Long furrowed his eyebrows as suspicion began to arise within him. “Hmm? Why are you staring at me like that?” Aelgh asked with a slightly tilted head and an annoying smile. “Are you sure you’re a 4th Circle Mage?” Long squinted his eyes. “Hmm? When did I ever say that?” Aelgh giggled before walking away toward the stairs. Long lowered his head, “Hmm…” he pondered for a while before proceeding to follow Aelgh downstairs.

While Aelgh and Long had their own adventurers, Eru and Meng Huo were platforming up towards the upper floor of the giant clock tower. “Why don’t you use your wings, Meng Huo? Instead of jumping upwards with me, isn’t it easier for you to fly?” Eru asked. “You might not know this, young master, but I cannot hide my wings”, Meng Huo said. “But, it’s perfectly hidden right now”, Eru said. “It’s because Aelgh cast a disguising spell on me. Once I use the wings, however, they will be revealed. It will be a pain in the ass if that were to happen”, Meng Huo explained with a small smile. “I know what you mean”, Eru said. After that, Eru and Meng Huo continued their platforming, jumping from point to point until, eventually, they reached a solid floor.

“Finally, a solid floor”, Eru breathed a sigh of relief. “But what is with this floor? Why is everything empty?” Meng Huo furrowed his eyebrows. “No, look over there”, Eru pointed north. “That’s—” Meng Huo squinted his eyes. He watched a blurry sight of a wall. “That’s not a wall at all”, Meng Huo uttered. “Good eyes, young master”, Meng Huo praised. However, suddenly the blurry walls in front of Eru and Meng Huo shattered, revealing a figure cloaked in black behind it. And in the background was a hallway that went straight ahead with a door at the end of the hallway. “Who are you?” the figure cloaked in black asked, his voice hoarse, and his tone was slightly menacing.

“Who am I? I have an appointment with the guy behind the door”, Eru said. The figure cloaked in black slightly tilted its head before revealing its red eyes. “You are not recognizable, nor there is any scheduled appointment with the lord”, the figure cloaked in black scanned Eru and Meng Huo from head to toe. “Based on the way you dressed and the commotion downstairs, I deemed you two intruders”, the figure cloaked in black said. The figure cloaked in black raised its arms. “Be careful”, Eru tensed his body before unsheathing Buddy from its scabbard. “Right”, Meng Huo’s fists glowed blue and red, respectively, as he got into a fighting stance.

“Eliminate them”, the figure cloaked in black said as dark mana began to surround it. After that, four large black blocks emerged from the ground before transforming into a figure of a knight. “What is that?” Eru furrowed his eyebrows. “I don’t know. I’m guessing they are some sort of golem”, Meng Huo said. Then, Eru and Meng Huo watched the figure cloaked in black disappear from its spot. The four black knights surrounded Eru and Meng Huo. Each of the four black knights held swords in their right hands and shields in their left hands. “Be careful; they are quite strong”, Meng Huo warned.

However, just as Meng Huo’s words left his mouth, Eru had already cleaved one of the black knights’ shields with his own black sword. Then, Eru kicked that black knight before slashing vertically. “Ha!” Eru yelled as the black knight was slashed in two. “Haha, no mercy, huh?” Meng Huo let out a small, wry laugh. “Then, I won’t show mercy either”, Meng Huo said before brandishing his red and blue-coloured fists into an advancing black knight. “Rah!” Meng Huo punched the black knight with his blue-coloured fist, which the black knight managed to block with its shield. “Hah, that was a dumb move”, Meng Huo smirked as his blue-coloured fist slowly froze the black knight’s shield.

After that, Meng Huo kicked the black knight’s shield, shattering it before quickly stepping in. “Take this”, Meng Huo clenched his red-coloured fist hard before punching the black knight on its torso. “Bang”, Meng Huo smirked before his red-coloured fist exploded. The explosion managed to destroy the black knight’s body to pieces. “Two down, two to go”, Meng Huo said excitedly. “It should be easy”, Meng Huo uttered. After hearing this, Eru sighed before shaking his head, “Don’t jinx it”, Eru warned. However, just as Eru’s words left his mouth, the two destroyed black knights gathered around the two existing black knights. After that, the two existing black knights absorbed the two destroyed black knights, increasing their powers two-fold.

“Roar!” the two knights roared with power. Eru rolled his eyes towards Meng Huo, “See what you’ve done?” Eru stared at Meng Huo. “Hehe, sorry about that”, Meng Huo said while scratching his cheek.
