Lana Valentine dropped her stance; she stood up straight as she gave Eru a deep look. Lana Valentine paused for a moment, making Eru, the audience and the man in a fancy suit confused. Then, after a hot minute, Lana Valentine’s mouth slowly opened up, “Who are you? And why do you have that sword?” she asked with a menacing tone and a glared full of killing intent. “Why do you ask? And lady, if you wanted to ask someone, don’t do it rudely”, Eru rebuked, feeling irritated at Lana Valentine’s word.
Hearing Eru, Lana Valentine killing intent surged, “If I wanted to ask you something, you better answer immediately.” A violent pink aura spiralled out of Lana Valentine, nearly choking everyone in the arena. The man in a fancy suit’s expression turned ugly. He lowered his body, ‘Should I interfere?’ he asked himself. However, when the man in a fancy suit was still pondering, Eru was already launching himself towards the pink-haired lady. “Stop your aura. You’re killing people here”, Eru said furiously. ‘That kid’, the man in a fancy suit’s evaluation towards Eru rose a little.
Eru struck with so much force that the seemingly Lana Valentine was launched backwards to the wall. However, Lana Valentine just walked casually from the rubbles, “What a rude brat”, she said; her aura were getting stronger. “4th Grade Aura Master”, Eru murmured. As Lana Valentine’s aura got stronger, many people in the audience started passing out. Just as it was getting out of hand, the man in a fancy suit cast a spell. Then, a black dome surrounded the colosseum arena. Eru felt that the spell was familiar to him. The black sword vibrated in his hand, “A separated space? Are you sure?” Eru asked.
Buddy vibrated again, affirming its hypothesis. “A smaller sub-space than the Trials Ground then”, Eru said. The man in a fancy suit suddenly appeared right beside Eru, “Stop it, Lana. You’re killing everyone here”, he said with a threatening tone. “Don’t get involved, Phantasma”, Lana Valentine barked, her face distorted. “What the hell happened to you, Lana?” the man in a fancy suit asked, holding his cane in front of him. “Fuck off!” Lana Valentine yelled, swinging her katana at the man in a fancy suit. The latter jumped back, “You don’t want to do this, Lana”, he threatened.
Seeing that he was being ignored, Eru stepped forward between the man in a fancy suit and the pink-haired lady. Eru held his sword firm, “You wanted me to answer, right? Beat me, then we’ll talk”, taunted Eru. “Kid”, just as the man in a fancy suit tried to stop Eru, Lana Valentine made a sudden move. “Have it your way, brat”, she growled as her katana hit Eru’s black sword. The impact doesn’t cause a spark like the previous two times as Eru cleverly parried Lana Valentine’s red sword. Then, Eru did a beautiful riposte, slashing Lana Valentine on her right shoulder.
The pink-haired lady grunted. Lana Valentine jumped backwards while she touched her bloodied right shoulder. “You”, she groaned, her killing intent rising even more. The man in a fancy suit was about to make a move, but Eru put his hand in front of him, “I’ll handle this. She pissed me off”, Eru said with a grumpy tone. The man in a fancy suit smiled wryly, “Just don’t kill her or I’ll have to disqualify you.” Eru scratched his head while the man in a fancy suit disappeared. “So, shall we get started, you pissant?” Eru took his stance, taunting the pink-haired lady.

Lana Valentine screamed; she launched a pink energy blast towards Eru. Eru nimbly dodged to the side before launching an energy blast on his own. Lana Valentine brushed Eru’s attack easily. When she was about to counter-attack, Lana Valentine saw Eru’s sword was pointed at her. Caught off guard, Lana Valentine could only parry Eru’s attack while getting a cut in the process. Lana Valentine eyes turned red, her fury apparent by the aura she let out.
‘How should I do this’ Eru thought calmly. He faced the berserk 4th Grade Aura Master with a calm and collected self. Eru watched the pink-haired lady continue to let out her aura and killing intent. When he saw that Lana Valentine goes even more berserk, he suddenly remembered the Demon King’s teaching. “When you fight against someone stronger than you, your energy management will be the key. And I’m not just talking about Aura. I’m also talking about your mental state and stamina. Once you lose even one from those three, you’re fucked”, the Demon King’s voice resounded in Eru’s head.
“I kinda get it now, old man. Although her movement became faster and stronger, predicting and evading her moves became easier for me”, Eru chuckled. Lana Valentine kept getting angrier and angrier. As a result of that, her katana got even redder by the second. Its bloodlust increased tenfold as the area inside the black dome became more suffocating. Finally, Lana Valentine yelled; her voice became deeper and deeper by the minute. “What the hell….” Eru looked in disbelief at the pink-haired lady in front of him. Over time, Lana Valentine transformation was like how one transformed from a human into a devil.
Eru contemplated in his mind, ‘Should I use the Dragon Force Technique? If this goes on any longer, I and the audience would be in trouble.’ Eru shook his head, ‘Not yet, I still had one more race on my sleeves. If that doesn’t work, then I’ll use the Dragon Force Technique.’ Eru gathered his aura, “Body, don’t fail me now!” he said to himself. Meanwhile, the man in a fancy suit was observing the battle between Eru and Lana Valentine this entire time. ‘Come on, kid, if you can’t handle it, I’ll be forced to step up,’ he said, rooting for Eru.
Eru’s body suddenly bulged up, becoming slightly larger. His veins were visible on his body while Eru’s hair stood up. His raven-coloured aura spiralled outside of Eru’s body, power seeping from his body. “Huh, I just realized that this technique was kind of an inferior version of the Dragon Force Technique. But I rather use this than to lose my life force” Eru held his sword to the side, “Thanks for the inspiration, Mr North Kaio. Thanks to you, I managed to create my own version of your technique.”
Lana Valentine finished her screaming as she looked at her enemies in front of her. She held her katana up high, slashing downward at Eru. However, Eru’s body suddenly erupted with power, “Let’s go, my own technique, Eruken!” he yelled. Massive amounts of aura exploded around Eru, blasting Lana Valentine away. Although she got blasted away, Lana Valentine immediately recovered before yelling once again and charging at Eru, still with rage in her eyes. Eru met Lana Valentine’s charge head-on; he clashed his sword with Lana Valentine’s bloody red katana, causing the familiar black and red spark.
Previously, both Eru and Lana Valentine would be pushed back whenever their blades clashed. However, now, Eru stood firm while Lana Valentine was sent flying. Lana Valentine dug out of the rubble, growling with her fangs out. Eru put the black sword on his shoulder, “Come, this time, I’ll properly beat you down.” While Eru and Lana Valentine was still fighting, the man in a fancy suit’s eyes gawked in surprise. He looked at Eru with a profound gaze, “What a prodigy. Still in his teenage years, yet he can already use such fantastic technique. Where in the heck did he pop out from?” the man in a fancy suit pondered. He observed the fighting between Lana Valentine and Eru closely, “Old man, you found a monster that can match you and your son”, the man in a fancy suit murmured.

A white-haired man can be seen in his office, sipping on a cup of tea. Inside the white-haired man’s office, a young man with a ponytail was lying down on the sofa nearby. He put his hands behind his head leisurely with his legs crossed. “Hey, pops, how do you think that kid held up?” that young man was, of course, Rex. The white-haired man stroked his beard, “He should be able to reach the finals”, he said before sipping from his teacup. Rex’s eyebrows were raised, “How are you so certain?” he asked.
The white-haired man finished his cup of tea, “The fact that he’s the son of my former comrade in arms.” Rex tilted his head upwards, “Huh. But, come to think of it, that blonde guy was amazing too. Evan was it?” The white-haired man nodded, “Yeah. But he resembled his mother more than his father. Both him and his sister, Angelica, had their mother’s talent”, the white-haired man paused, “If they had a spec of their father’s talent, they would’ve surpassed you by now.” Rex whistled, “Yeah? Even though Evan and Angelica were a monster in their own right, and you’re telling me that they’re not talented enough?”
The white-haired man shook his head, “I’m not telling you that. What I mean is that if they had their father’s talent, they would become more monstrous. Their youngest sibling, Eru, had that talent. Maybe someday he will surpass you”, he said. “What makes you say that?” Rex asked, still lying his body on the sofa. The white-haired man stroked his beard, grinning, “Intuition.” Rex clicked his tongue, “What the hell?” he paused, “To be fair, your intuition tends to be correct pops.” Rex smiled, “Well, I’m looking forward to it.” The white-haired man nodded in approval.
