Inside Mr Ken office, the man was sitting on his chair, seemingly contemplating about something. “An aura user that can also use magic, huh… Maybe he’s one of them….” Mr Ken rubbed his chin, thinking about what he should do next. “I need to consult with the council”, he murmured before closing his eyes and heaving a sigh, “This is going to be complicated.”

The white-haired man frowned at what he saw on the broadcast. “Interesting”, the white-haired man stroked his beard, “I don’t think there was anyone that can do magic after learning how to harness their aura. “Nevertheless, I’m happy. Never would’ve thought that Rudy and Ana’s son would be this special”, the white-haired man smiled. He then proceeded to sip his tea, “Now, how do I want to take care of tomorrow.”

In a small village right at the edge of Zephyr Kingdom, there exist a farmland ran by a lovely couple. The couple has had three kids; however, all three of them had left the farmland to go on their own life journey. A few weeks ago, the couple met with a wandering trader and bought a broadcasting device. Although they were happy living on their farmland, they sometimes needed some entertainment to liven up their daily lives. So, as the day of the Great Fighting Competition from Great Aeolus City was approaching, they decided to part with a couple hundred Bani, buying a broadcasting device so that they could watch the competition.
They were brimming with anticipation to watch this year Great Fighting Competition. What they did not expect, however, was that one of their kids was joining the competition. “Dear, that is Eru, right?” Ana rubbed her eyes, still not believing that her son was entering the competition. Rudy had a small smile on his face, “Yup. Did not expect that the kid was daring enough to fight in front of a crowd.” Ana nodded, “Right, that kid used to be a shy one. Eru did not have a friend except that one kid Alicia brought.” Rudy grabbed a snack from the table, “Well, nevertheless, I’m proud of him.”
The two sat relaxed, watching their son fight some guy named Judd. The expression on their faces varied as the match went on. And when it was time that Eru cast an explosion spell, both Ana and Rudy had their mouth agape, and the snack in Rudy’s hand fell down to the ground. They both looked at each other, “Do you know that he can do that?” Ana asked her husband with a bewildered expression on her face. Rudy took a while to reply as he was still shocked. Finally, he shook his head, “No, I did not know that he could do that. That kid had always hidden a few things from me”, Rudy said with a wry smile on his face.
Ana nodded, “Right, he did use that move inside the training ground without us knowing after all.” Rudy rubbed his chin, “But using magic after learning how to harness his aura….” Before Rudy finished his sentence, Ana shook her head vigorously, “No, our son is not like him. If one word came out of your mouth about him right now, Rudy, I swear to the goddess….” Ana furiously roared at her husband. “Ana…” Rudy looked at his wife’s outburst with a hint of sadness in his eyes, “You’re right. Our son is not like him”, Rudy said before hugging his wife. The couple hugged until the day went by.

Back in the present time, Eru woke up feeling groggy all over his body. “This feeling is worse than the aftereffect of Eruken”, Eru grumbled while rotating his left shoulder. He felt that his left shoulder was still stiff as it was not completely healed yet. “Maybe I should have used the Dragon Force Technique and ended this fight sooner”, Eru rubbed the back of his head. Then, suddenly Eru felt something was vibrating right beside him. “You thought so too, Buddy?” Eru held the black sword, Buddy, in his hand. “Right, time to rest is over; let’s go back”, Eru said as he collected all of his belongings before heading out.
When Eru went out from the west wing special waiting room, he saw that the colosseum was already empty. “How long did I sleep for?” Eru asked to himself. He proceeded to go down the elevator and into the colosseum’s lobby. Eru arrived at a dark colosseum’s lobby, “It’s night already?” Eru scratched his cheek. He came out from the colosseum and looked up; the clock on the tower’s wall indicated that the day had already turned into night. “I slept a long time, huh….” Eru walked towards the colosseum’s park bench before sitting on it. “Sigh… I did it, huh” Eru’s lips curled up into a small smile.
Eru leaned in on the park bench while his two arms were spread wide open. Eru relaxed his body as his mind was contemplating. Eru closed his eyes, forgetting about reality for a moment; he let his body and mind to rested up. Unknowingly, Eru fell asleep the second time today, signifying how tired he was. Dawn passed, and morning finally came. Eru woke up finding people were staring at him. Confused, Eru looked left and right with bewilderment. “What the hell are you man doing?” Eru said while his eyebrow was twitching. The people that were staring at him immediately scrambled away, only leaving a certain ponytailed man wearing his usual guard outfit.
“What the hell are you grinning about?” Eru groaned while stretching his body. “Haha, why so grumpy?” Res asked with his arms crossed. Eru scratched the back of his head, “Try waking up and finding yourself being stared at by so many people.” Rex chuckled; he extended his hand towards Eru. Eru grabbed Rex’s hand before getting up. He patted himself by the shoulder, “It felt right” Eru rotated his left shoulder. “Already recovered?” Rex asked. Eru slightly nodded, “Not completely, but it will do. So, why are you here?” Rex put his hand on Eru’s shoulder, “You did not come back last night, so the old man sent me here.” Eru looked sceptical towards Rex, “I bet that he told you to come to get me last night.”
Rex cringed, “Yeah, you don’t have to rub it on me”, he said while scratching his cheek, “Besides, I knew that you would be fine anyway.” Eru shook his head, “Yeah, yeah. So, what’s the real reason you come here?” Rex chuckled, “The old man wanted to speak to you. Said it is urgent.” Eru’s eyebrow raised, “Urgent?” Rex slightly shook his head, “Yeah. You should meet him now. Come, I’ll escort you.” Eru’s squinted his eyes, “Escort? Why would I need an escort?” Rex’s lips curled up a little, “Trust me, man. You need the escort”, he said with a hint of sarcasm. “What, why?” Eru asked with a hint of suspicion.
“You’ll see. Come”, Rex said; he waved his hand, indicating that Eru should follow him. Eru walked behind Rex, following him still with a confused expression on his face. When Rex and Eru walked down to the lower level of the city, many people instantly recognized Eru, and many of them cheered. Many people were afraid to approach Eru, seeing as a military man, Rex, was escorting him. But, there were some people who were not afraid of Rex and tried approaching Eru. Eru was taken aback by the reception given by the people in the city. “What the hell!?” Eru frowned. Seeing that people were still approaching Eru, Rex roared, “This man had business with the army, make way!” The daring people that tried approaching Eru was taken aback by Rex’s powerful shout.
They parted, making way for Rex and Eru to walk through. Eru followed Rex throughout the parting sea of people. On the way, Eru was still bewildered and taken aback by the reception that he got from Aeolus Great City’s citizens. Rex led Eru inside the Aeolus Great City military barracks and into the white-haired man office. Inside, Eru found that the white-haired man had a serious look on his face. “Sit”, the white-haired man said while clenching both of his hands together. “What is it?” Eru asked after he sat across the white-haired man. The white-haired man stroked his beard for a while before speaking, “Don’t go all out in the final”, he said. Eru raised his eyebrow, “Why?” he asked, feeling confused.
“We’re going to have visitors”, the white-haired man said, seemingly hinting about something. Eru caught on quick as his eyes widened, “Should I just wait here?” The white-haired man shook his head, “No. Just came through the finals as nothing happened. We will move him right into the colosseum’s cage.” Eru flinched, “The colosseum had a cage?” The white-haired man nodded, “Yes. They are used for holding the two wyverns you saw yesterday.” Eru contemplated for a while before he eventually nodded, “Okay. So, what should I do?” The white-haired man hummed, “Just fight in the finals, and when it’s time, you’ll eventually know what it is”, the white-haired man nodded, “That’s all I have to say. Rex, please escort Eru back to the colosseum.”
Rex nodded, “Right. Come!” he opened the double-door before heading out with Eru following him. The white-haired man strokes his beard, “I hope this all goes well.”
