Chapter 138: 138. PALM
Sweeping his gaze on his surroundings, Noah calmly Inspected the square shaped clearing he and Jon currently stood in.
The clearing which had been made artificially by the cultivator named Enik, stretched for about 300m on all sides, which wasn’t much, but considering the fact that not a single building could be seen for bit, it hinted at something else.
“How much space does your village even have?,” Noah spoke after a few seconds.
“Much of what we own is land, the buildings themselves aren’t many and the villagers are just a bit more than one thousand,” Jon replied, while multiple curved pillars 2 meters in height, rose around the clearing.
Nodding his head and gazing at the short bushes that surrounded the clearing before a few trees could be seen, Noah took a deep breath and planned what to do.
Among his three elements, Noah had decided not to reveal his ice affinity, as it would be an ace up sleeve. Between his air an lightning affinity, he would normally go for lightning, but opted to utilize air, since he hardly fought with it, and a lot of ideas had formed in his head after his advancement.
‘I wonder if I should use my weapon,’ Noah thought, but a smile appeared on his face when he imagined Jon’s face after he won the bet without using a weapon.
[Name: Jon]
[Race: Human]
[Title: Village head]
[Tier: 3(Lower)]
[Affinity: Fire]
[Level of danger: Unknown]
The panel for humans had also changed, an addition of their race and title being a light surprise to Noah.
‘Are there other races apart from humans in Creagar? Where do Speedlings even come from,’ Noah wondered, since he hadn’t been able to do so due to his cultivation. ‘I wonder if he has knowledge on such topics,’ Noah added focusing his gaze on Jon who had a smile on his face.
“Wield your weapon Mr Will,” Jon announced, “I plan to spar without mine, but you’ll need yours,” He added.
A tinge of annoyance seeped into Noah’s mind after those words, ‘Are all the strong cultivators this bitchy,’ he thought while his mouth opened to release words.
“I too also plan to fight you without a weapon,” Noah announced coldly, while bottling most of his emotions, an aloof expression surprisingly appearing on his face.
Both Jon and his trainees shook at those words. ‘Who exactly is this young man,’ Jon couldn’t help but wonder.
“If you say so,” Jon replied, ‘You can make the first move,” he gestured at Noah, while bending his knees a bit.
Noah saw no problem in the man’s invitation, so he didn’t hesitate to sprint forward.
The ground shattered when Noah moved, his figure appeared in front of Jon instantly, and he didn’t hesitate to slam his right palm on the experts abdomen.
Without the chance to react, Jon found himself disappearing from his position, only to stop after over 600m from the clearing, a large tree had stopped his movement, though it began to break.
A sharp pain spread from Jon’s chest. A wave of astonishment and disbelief spreading in his mind when his eyes landed on the area that Noah’s palm touched. He could literally trace the palm.
Blood poured out of his mouth in waves, his eyes threatening to shut, but a bottle quickly appeared in his hand and he drank its contents immediately.
A few seconds later he dashed towards the clearing to find a calm looking Noah, who didn’t even have a smile on his face from his accomplishment.
“I’ve found myself a monster,” Jon muttered as respect began to form in his head.
“Before we continue. Was that your full strength?,” Jon asked with a serious expression.
“Of course not, isn’t this just a spar,” Noah replied rasing his eyebrows in genuine surprise.
Jon’s serious face crumbled in front of that answer, as the surprise on the faces of the weak cultivators reached new levels.
“Do we continue?,” Noah asked after a few seconds of silence.
“I will give you the bundles I promised you, but I also want to continue this fight, to test most of my prowess on you,” Jon announced without an ounce of shame or the arrogance he had earlier.
Noah felt surprised at the man’s words, he had expected a few more exchanges before something like that happens, but he didn’t complain.
“Okay,” Noah replied as seven large spears made from densely packed air materlized around him, while he waited for Jon,who shook his head at that display.
A powerful aura exploded out of Jon’s figure as his focus reached its peak, he could already tell that only at his full concentration would he be able to have a chance at matching Noah’s Incredible speed.
Six large rings of seemingly solid flames, exited Jon’s body and went on to float behind him.
Two swords suddenly appeared in his grip, their materials suddenly catching fire before the flames condensed around the edges, giving the swords a new level of sharpness.
Noah felt his opponent to be ready enough at that point, so he launched his spells.
The large spears’ shot towards Jon and instantly arrived in front of him, but suddenly dispersed before they could land on his body.
An eyebrow rose on Noah’s face at that sight, but he still sent five more spears towards the still stationery man.
The spears instantly arrived above Jon, but like their predecessors they vanished without a trace.
Noah could only furrow his brows at that point, and he shot forward to understand what was going on.
His figure directly appeared in front of Jon’s figure, but Noah’s eyes widened when a sudden sensation of heat landed on his body.
The garment on his body instantly disappeared, as Noah found himself almost naked.
Just as he was about to jump backwards, one of the six rings of fire shot towards him almost as quick as he was, but suddenly exploded before touching him.
Noah found himself shooting backwards in a river of flames, but the flames didn’t affect his body in the slightest, his mind only making out a warm sensation.
Noah’s consciousness immediately wrapped around his body to stop his attire from completely burning, while he waited for the explosion to end, which it did an instant later.
Immediately Noah got visuals of his surroundings, he sighted a orange sword approaching his left arm but he caught it.
An Incredible force landed on Noah left arm when the flaming sword landed in grip. His fingers immediately began to burn at that point, but Noah ignored the pain while focusing on the second sword fast approaching his chest.
A small shield appeared on the swords path, and it managed it stop it for an instant before shattering.
Noah felt no danger at the approaching sword, he perceived everything in slow motion which meant he could dodge anytime he wanted to, he simply wanted to give the expert the feeling that he was actually struggling.
The sword eventually landed on Noahs shoulder, and dug a bit of his skin, before getting stuck, but the flames couldn’t do much.
Jon showed a surprised expression at that sight, he had only ever been in such a situation once, and he wasn’t battling a human.
A grin appeared on Noah’s face, then he kicked at Jon, but a ring a fire blocked it, before exploding.
Noah felt himself flying backwards in a river of flames. Annoyance seeping into his mind at the explosion, so immediately his feet managed to touch the ground, he shot upwards, creating an empty section In the river of flames.
Instantly locating Jon’s figure, Noah spent a bit of SE to create a large ball made of densely compressed wind currents, before sending it towards Jon at breakneck speed.
Just before the boulder-like ball of air could touch Jon, Noah suddenly detonated it, and the Incredible explosion following the event almost killed the weak cultivators spectating the fight.
