Chapter 319: 319. EASILY
With eyes trying to pierce their gaze into the dummy, or rather Grella, Noah entered a seemingly form-based stance, but from what he had learned from elder Sarah, the Roiling thunder wasn’t limited to stances since it desired the user to remain flexible at all point. Only the various forms featured stances, any other thing was a hoax.
Grella entered a stance too, but it had a form behind it. Its inscription-blazing eyes seemed to scan his figure before deciding on what its next move would be. Tension seemingly began to build in the room, but Noah remained at his calmest. He wasn’t in his emotionless state, but his training had naturally forced his mind into a state of regular calmness. He couldn’t act irrationally since something important was based on the turnout of the battle.
Grella eventually moved and Noah watched it cross the distance between them in barely a second. That speed remained shocking for something made out of metal, but Noah recovered as quickly as his astonishment appeared.
His eyes followed the dummy’s swift movement, and he could immediately tell it tried to attack his left shoulder with its lunge.
Noah’s fist appeared on the path of the arm then both limbs collided.
The result was a ground-shaking explosion of sheer force.
An eyebrow appeared on Noah’s face at that outcome as both figures refused to move. He had naturally not exerted his full strength but that punch had aimed at ending the fight quickly, but the dummy’s material could withstand his punch even if its arm now featured a small portion that had caved in.
“How do I win against it? Destroy it?!” Noah shouted performing a quick side step as Grella’s feet shot past his expressionless face.
His hand moved to grab hold of the leg and it did, but the dummy jumped to try and kick him with its other leg. Noah crouched, effectively dodging the smashing kick, before hurling the oversized piece of metal away.
Its moves had been too predictable, but he couldn’t let his guard down since it learned apparently. Its predictable moves could be a plan to get him to underestimate it.
“Do whatever you want with her, just make sure to remove her head and you win,” the red-haired man who’s name Noah still didn’t know, replied.
Noah responded with a nod and shot forward towards an already recovered Grella. His figure flashed before its figure and his eyes flashed with resolve. Noah’s arms seemed to move in slow motion even If they remained too fast for the dummy to follow.
An explosion of his aura occurred as he executed the First form at point blank. An even more spectacular explosion occurred at that point and the ground never stopped shaking.
A dense mist formed as a result of Noah’s attack and Grella’s figure could soon be seen flying out of it, and it looked to be barely holding up.
Noah wasn’t ready to allow the dummy learn his moves so his figure followed it with frightening velocity, The sheer explosive speed his body could muster had increased during his training and the current battle showed a bit of the result.
Noah would barely be visible to anyone at his level, as even his clothes appeared to be vague blurs.
His figure arrived before the still mid-air Grella and his right arm shot forward to rip the dummy’s head off. But his goal wouldn’t go as planned since a kick appeared in his peripheral vision.
He could comfortably dodge the speeding foot, but his expression flickered when he saw Grella place both her hands on the floor and proceeded to perform a roundhouse kick on him. However, instead of running, Noah stayed and endured the powerful kick. He clicked his tongue in annoyance when he felt pain reach his mind. The attack had broken his skin.
In turn, however, his arms reached the dummy’s midsection and punched a large hole in it.
Noah then waved his hand to completely rip off the right side of Grella’s torso.
The kick sent Noah flying and his attack sent Grella barreling sideways like a rag doll. While her material flew everywhere.
Noah landed on his feet and slid for a few feet before coming to a stop.
His right side featured a bruise that had already begun to heal and before he shot forward had already been completely repaired. His healing remained his strongest asset in a battle.
His figure appeared in front of Grella and he didn’t hesitate to perform a kick on her recovering figure. His kick smashed into her head and sent her flying again, but he wouldn’t stop there.
Noah went ahead to follow her barreling figure and he immediately grabbed her by the arm. Smashing her into the white floor, Noah placed his left leg on her back before proceeding to rip her right arm off.
Grella tried to react, but Noah had entered his full focus mode. His arms turned into a blur as he executed the first form again.
This time around the whole room reverberated with the sheer amount of force his punches were capable of mustering.
Grella turned into a mass of metal that had most of its surface uneven and large portions of its full structure missing. Holes riddled the quality dummy, but Noah couldn’t care less.
Its head was barely recognizable as a head, but it continued to move. But once again, Noah was already on top of the matter.
Lunging both arms at her head, he grabbed it and endured the punch Grella’s last arm threw at his stomach.
Enforcing his strength on it, Noah began to compress it. Grella’s attempts at freeing herself became frantic. It seemed she could feel terror. Or maybe she was programmed to.
The sound of metal crunching resounded in the whole room until Noah turned Grella’s head into a thin mass of metal. After which he tore it off.
A sense of joy and relish appeared in Noah’s mind after that point. The fight hadn’t been hard one bit. Heck, the had won it practically leisurely. But he understood that his sharpened skills were simply in play now.
Silence spread in the room after the defeat of Grella, but a clap soon resounded shattering the silence.
Noah turned to see the woman clapping; a wide smile on her face. Soon the black haired man followed. Elder Sarah limited herself to maintain her confident smile.
The red-haired man on the other hand, had an expressionless face, but he had already approved of the man’s incredible strength.
“You pass!” The red haired man announced. “It seems you did so fairly easily. If you can’t get into the tournament then no one is eligible,” he gave a short laugh while the box returned into the ground.
