Chapter 372: 372. TREND
Flicking his boots of blood, Noah watched an orange core shoot out of the body of a black deer, after which it disappeared.
He had severed its horns since its power was contained in it. From the trend of things, Noah believed horned beasts had most of their abilities contained in their horns, as they could look spectacular.
Noah glanced at the dungeon creation panel and saw that he already had 100 beasts in. He immediately permitted the system to begin the creation of the dungeon.
[Creation of Monster dungeon commencing]
[This is not your first dungeon creation. For that, the dungeon’s creation will take 2 days]
[Time till completion: 47:59:57]
Noah didn’t like that reality, but he knew that was meant to happen so he didn’t fuss about it.
With the dungeon requirements done, he decided to explore the forest a little more. He wouldn’t need to kill magical beasts that stumbled upon him since they were mostly peaceful to him; an outsider, even if he had left them before they could properly react. However, he couldn’t be too sure about stronger beasts.
He began at that point and felt it would be okay to go deeper into the forest seeing as the beasts at its edge barely held any danger to him.
He moved slowly rather than directly running about. He wasn’t the strongest in the place after all.
He encountered other beasts during his exploration, but more interestingly he found plants. Special plants that contained unique traits.
[Blossoming night plant]
[Tier: 2(Peak)
[Element: Water]
[Blossoming night plant: A flower that awakens at the sign of the night and provides refreshment to the area around it by spraying water highly concentrated with mana]
Noah saw that panel open up in his eyes when his gaze fell on a lone silvery-blue flower. It directly grew from the ground even if that position was only a few hundred meters from one of the flowing rivers.
Its function was intriguing, to say the least. A plant who’s sole purpose was to wet its surroundings with mana-concentrated water.
It would be considered useless if not for its ability to help the vegetation around it grow.
Although Noah found no use of the plant, he uprooted it anyway and proceeded to store it in his inventory, but to his shock, the ground trembled immediately he tore the plant from the ground.
‘What the?’ Noah exclaimed inwardly taking a few steps backward. His eyes swept his surroundings and his consciousness confirmed that there were no beasts in his area.
He felt lost at that point, but also nervous. He knew very well that there were tier 4 beasts within that forest, at least according to the description of that place, so he couldn’t be sure if something in that realm was on the move or if it had some connection to the terrain of that area.
After all, the river was only a few hundred meters from his position, the beasts of the area probably came there to take drinks occasionally.
Noah calmed himself down and analyzed his memory of the event. Upon uprooting the plant, the ground had trembled as though it had felt pain or something similar to that. But it was common knowledge that the ground wasn’t a living thing.
“At least in most parts of Cregar it isn’t,” Noah muttered deciding to leave that area. He still didn’t believe the ground was alive since if it was and it trembled every time he did something, he would have already figured that out during his battles with the beasts.
Noah left the area closer to the river and began to journey in an arc, gradually moving to the left portion of the forest. He hoped to circle it in the time he had before his dungeon was complete.
As he continued to leave the edge of the forest, the quality of beasts began to increase, and soon huge beasts in the higher stage began to roam his surroundings.
Their casual roars of growls were enough to make the ground surrounding them shake and many of them were stronger than the wolf he had killed.
They were beasts that had moved a reasonable distance into the higher stage, and their auras spoke of that reality.
Noah had to keep his aura under wraps while he continued to trek, stopping to inspect anything that managed to catch his interest.
He found other magical plants, but most of them were ones he had seen before, the few that seemed special were usually surrounded by groups of magical beasts, featuring higher-stage beasts as the leader.
That trend began to interest Noah after he had seen it more than ten times, and he felt the need to investigate.
He even spent a few hours watching a particular pack consisting of 5 bears, 3 deer, and 6 apes. The higher stage beast was a lazy-looking bear; huge in size, as it simply lay and did nothing.
The beasts in the group hardly moved a meter from their position around the shining red plant, and Noah had returned to that place more than three times in two hours.
The plants were usually closer to the higher stage beast, as even they never left its side.
“How do they even feed,” Noah wondered at some point while sitting atop the branches of one of the many tall trees in the area and gazing at the unlikely bunch of beasts.
In the outside world, they would rip each other apart for anything that had a whiff of mana.
Noah couldn’t tell how strong the mana coming from the plant was, but he believed it was on the higher side since the vegetation around it seemed to have taken a step up in lushness.
The scene was so astonishing that Noah decided he would take the risk of approaching them and seeing what would happen. At this point, he believed the beasts were acting according to the will of the tier 4 beasts, but he wanted to figure it out and he didn’t care that he could incur the wrath of such beasts.
Noah jumped off the tree and began his slow but steady walk toward the beasts.
The higher-stage beast had a healthy-looking yellow core, meaning it could put on a proper fight if it wanted, but from what he had seen so far, he doubted it would do anything to him.
All the beasts he had taken out, he had done so without them knowing much about his presence so he couldn’t be too sure if they would have attacked had they been given the chance.
“This proves that they would,’ Noah concluded inwardly, seeing as the beasts stood and began to dash towards him a few seconds after his figure appeared in the opening that was their territory.
