Chapter 58: 58. RESCUE
Augustus expression changed to that of coldness, he had never met these experts before, but from the letter he received, he understood they meant no good.
“Would it be possible if you could get out of my way, without a fight,” Augustus said, while he stared at the trio, inspecting them.
Finding that the old man was the strongest, followed by the lady, then lastly the man, Augustus frowned inwardly, but kept a cold demeanor.
“That wouldn’t be possible young master,” the old man replied.
Shaking his head, Augustus’s voice rang out, “Then may I know your names?,” he said. Although he read files about the current keepers of the mansion, their names wasn’t included.
“Of course. I am Alca, head of the current keepers of this mansion,” Alca announced.
“I am Brunette a keeper of this mansion,” the lady announced.
“I am Gideon, a keeper of this mansion,” the last man said.
“I am Augustus Holon, of the Holon noble family,” Augustus shouted. though
It seemed unnecessary for him to do so. After a few seconds he saw that the reaction he expected didn’t happen.
‘I see, they have not taken the oath yet. I at least, expected them to have,’ Augustus said inwardly, as a sigh escaped his mouth.
“I am Luke. Personal guard to the second son of the house of Holon,” Luke announced, while glancing at his master, who nodded.
Readying himself, Augustus watched as the trio cast spells. Alca sent a jet of densely packed water, Brunette shot multiple arrows made of Earth, and Gideon conjured a small tornado.
Each of those spells charged at Luke and Augustus, but they were ready themselves.
A magic circle appeared in front of the duo, then a thick 7/7ft wall of fire flickered into existence. Immediately that happened, Luke stabbed the ground with his giant sword, then a wall made of earth, the same size as the flames, rose up.
Loud explosions resounded, when the spells collided. The attacks of the three experts managed to destroy the elemental walls, but lost a lot of power in the process, though they still managed to get through, but by that time their targets were gone.
Jumping to the side where the training court was, three magic circles glowing with red radiance appeared around Augustus, as clyndrical flames emerged out of them, ravaging the hallway, causing pillars to fall, and spreading a bit of destruction.
He managed to avoid Luke’s figure, but the attack did nothing to his targets, as a second later the flames were forcefully dispersed, then a small beam of water shot towards him, though he dodged it with a long side step.
Frowning at the outcome, he saw that Gideon and Brunette, moved towards Luke, while Alca focused on him.
Understanding what they planned to do, Augustus tried to run towards his personal guard.
Taking a step forward, immediately his feet touched the ground, his instincts raged at him, as he jumped backwards with all the strength his legs could muster.
Barely missing the magic circle, that flickered where he formerly stood, followed by a cylindrical jet of water shooting upwards.
Frowning at the disturbance, Augustus glanced at Luke, seeing that he was holding on a bit, he parried the sword that appeared in front of him.
“You have good reflexes young master,” Alca’s voice rang out, while he swung his sword multiple times at Augustus, who continued to block them successfully.
Not responding to the man’s words, Augustus cast a spell, ‘Turbulance’ he whispered.
Immediately he did; a magical circle expanded above them, for a few tens of meters, then the wind began to move in an erratic motion, gaining speed every second, as they threatened to lift Augustus off his foot.
Augustus didnt like this spell, because it could also hurt him, but he needed Alca a bit far away for him.
Also casting air blades, while shifting the flow of air currents towards the old man.
Augustus watched Alca gain multiple wounds, while he tried to escape the deadly wind currents, which had begun to form a 4 meters tall tornado around him.
Continuously casting air blades inside the air currents, Augustus moved to help Luke.
Unsheathing his sword, he shut his eyes just for a milisecond, before opening them.
Slashing downwards at the duo currently trying to break Luke’s defense.
A slash made of dense flames shot out, but didn’t manage to hit his targets. Tough he succeeded in interrupting their attacks.
Dashing towards the hallway, Augustus was about to arrive there, when an explosion resounded, sending him flying for a few meters, though he managed to land on his feet.
Straightening his position, Augustus’s eyes fell on where the explosion came from.
Standing inside a curved wall of water, the bloodied figure of Alca could be seen. His face filled with wrath, while his voice rang out, “Time to stop playing,” he announced.
Immediately he said those words, short explosion resounded, which made Augustus snap his head towards Luke.
His eyes were wide open, when he saw a sword going through Luke’s left shoulder, Brunette and Gideon, glowing with yellow and green respectively, as it seemed that they had been powered up.
“I’m okay young master,” Luke shouted, as he slammed his giant sword on Brunette sending her flying.
Heaving a deep sigh, Augustus jumped backwards, dodging the multiple spears of water.
Focusing on his current opponent, ‘ I’ll have to finish this fast,’ he said inwardly, while his aura intensified, his attire glowing with multiple inscriptions, then a green and red aura light shone around him.
This was the stage a person had to get to when they were about to breakthrough into tier 3, this was the result of their Mana concentrating so much, that it began to take an actual colour, and also form a core!.
Taking a step forward, Augustus figured disappeared, as he appeared in front of Alca.
Lunging forward, he watched as two colours red and green wrapped around his sword, while it rushed forward.
Seeing Augustus’s attack, Alca made multiple small magic circles appeare in front of the swords trajectory, which formed small walls of water.
Shock filled Alca’s mind when he saw the sword piercing each of the water walls, then..
BOOOM!.
And explosion resounded, as both experts were flunged backwards, each receiving injuries, with Alca being more injured.
Glancing at Augustus, he saw him disappear. Confirming his suspicion, that the young master was indeed faster than he was.
Catching a slight flash, Alca placed his sword there, with the hope to block the incoming attack. Although he got the swords direction right, when the sword met his’, an incredible force slammed it, as his grip threatened to give way.
Gritting his teeth, Alca held on, while putting his own weight into the sword trying to counter the force. But he failed miserably.
The sword flew at of his grip, as in the next second, Augustus slashed multiple times, inflicting gashing wounds on his body, coupled with the ones he had before, worsening his condition.
Landing on the ground, with the grace of a rock, Alca watched with pure horror and surprise, Augustus stand right above him.
While he recalled words the tier 3 expert had told him, “Don’t underestimate him, he may be young, but he isn’t weak,”.
The words sounded boastful of the young master, but now, when he looked back at their fight, it didn’t make any sense, he had barely done anything and now he was lying in the pool of his own blood.
“Please spare me,” Alca’s weak voice rang out.
Glancing at the nigh dead man, Augustus wondered why the fight had been so short, he had fought magical beasts that gave him a much harder time.
Rasing his sword, he brought it down, cutting the man’s head, ending his life. Sweeping his gaze on his guard he dashed forward to assist.
The fight continued for the next series of minutes, as the last figures standing belonged to Luke and Augustus.
Brunette and Gideon had been easy to take care of, since Augustus was the strongest among the four seasons of them.
“Let’s go,” Augustus said, while sheathing his sword, and helping Luke up.
He had gotten injured multiple times, but he could still manage without passing out.
Walking down the destroyed hall way, Augustus had to move some debris to get to the door of their target
Opening it, they went down a flight of stairs, and found a black metallic door.
Opening the door, the stench of rotten corpses, invaded their noses.
Walking down the hall, Augustus saw the figure of a woman chained to the ceiling with her hands, causing her body to dangle.
The lady raised her head to look at the person that entered, but immediately she did, tears rolled down her eyes.
Watching this scene for a few seconds, Augustus’s voice rang out, “I’ve come for you Lisa.”
