Chapter 67: 67. ARRIVAL
The group stayed on that path for six whole days, until finally the road bent into a sharp curve, and on the seventh day, which was in total their twentieth day into the journey, a massive wall entered their sights.
The wall looked to have been built purely from metal, as it stretched on both sides as far as the eyes could see, and around 50m in height. Apparently this was only one of the three gates of Crilion.
The group had to rest for half an hour, before Augustus gave them a change of clothes, to not let them look too suspicious.
Arriving on a long line, Noah took the time to inspect the environment more.
There were multiple paths that led directly to the gate, which meant the influx of humans would be much.
The queue was separated into two, one for carriages and the other for people, and at the entrance of the city, were multiple guards, each inspecting and searching.
“I wonder what the royal family will feature in this year’s Bozolom,” a group of three men who were directly in front of Noah discussed, as Noah decided to eaves drop.
“I hope it’s something fun at least, but they have been quiet about any eventual change,” one of the three said.
“Although I did hear a rumour that big changes are going to be made this year,” the last person of the group commented.
Noah couldn’t help but frown and begin to ponder about the matter, such things were to be taken very seriously, since according to James explanation Bozolom already had an immense death rate, any more dangerous changes and it would basically be a death sentence.
The group had to stay on a line for a bit over an hour until it was their turn.
“ID please. And are they with you,” A man who looked in his thirties but radiated power in the peak of tier 2, said.
“Yes they are. Actually they are my hired escorts,” Augustus explained with the tone of a young master, after passing over his ID card, although it didn’t identify him as a person from the house of Holon.
“Oh….i see then. Do not forget immediately the game starts, you’ll have to pay to leave the city or enter,” the man said, after he had seen the cards of the others.
Opening the small gate which was meant for humans, the guard did a slight bow, as the ground entered.
Noah’s first step into the city, was relatively normal, apart from the incredibly high Mana density in the environment.
The place was so filled with mana, it made Vonol’s mana density feel like a slight breeze. Noah could see even multicolored mist, although the sun was sky high.
Taking a deep breath, Noahs body rejoiced at the inflow of Mana. In just one breath, he felt like he had cultivated for days. The other’s also experienced similar reactions, though it only took about two minutes, before their bodies adjusted to the new environment.
With that, Noah was able to inspect his environment, and the first thing he saw in the distance, was a massive wall like structure, it actually reminded him of a collusem but way bigger in size.
Around the collusem were high rising buildings built from stone or metals. The lowest buildings were one storeys’, while the maximum reached 10!.
Noah couldn’t help but feel like the city was a high tier city, which meant the standard of living was also high. Which all boiled down to a quick emptying purse.
A sigh escaped his mouth after that conclusion, all of a sudden he felt poor, ‘I seriously need to get a real job that pays well,’ he said Inwardly, while Augustus led them into the city.
The streets of Crilion were multiple times better than Vonol, as instead of clustered streets, there were finely built shops on each side of the street. That only advertised their products through glass frames and announcements.
Finally, the people of the city looked well fed, as almost all of them radiated power in tier 2. It seemed a new city came a new base level, at this point he wouldn’t be surprised if a tier 3 popped out somewhere, but that wasn’t really a new thing, it was the rulers of the city that made him wonder.
The type of power, that would allow someone able to control such a city would be immense. Noah could already guess tier 4’s and the thought made him want bozolom to end fast so that he could continue his levelling up.
He had checked the amount of time left for the ring and he was twenty one days short of the 364 at the beginning, this put a massive pressure on his mind, constantly making him doubt himself, and ability to level up fast.
The group walked for over thirty minutes, with Augustus at the lead, it seemed he knew where he was going since he took precise turns into different streets.
Eventually they got to a two storey building where the word “Armour” could be seen outside.
Noah rose an eyebrow, as they entered the building, since there were no guards outside. A brightly lit hall entered his sight, to Noah’s surprise he realized that the Insides of the building were more than what was on the outside.
There were multiple thin dome shaped frames with outfits or metallic armours inside of them. The place smelled nice as the fresh scent of flowers ravaged his nose. There were multiple humans walking around, inspecting the outfits while uniformed men or women could be seen with them.
Those people glanced at the group of six, bit they ignored those stares.
Augustus walked directly to the reception, the others following closely.
Immediately Augustus reached the reception, the young lady behind it bowed frantically, as she took a round object with inscriptions on it, and talked to it, Noah finding out that they had objects that functioned as phones!.
“He said you should come in,” the lady eventually said, pointing at a brown door behind the reception.
Augustus nodded, while he gestured for the group to follow him. They walked Into the door, and found another door after the door, which led to a small hall, as Noah kept wondering how much space was in the whole building.
At the ending of the hall was a black metallic door. Knocking on the door, the group of six watched in silence, the sound of locks opening, then Augustus proceeded to enter afterwards.
A aura hit their faces, as Nosh heaved a sigh when he realized that the power the aura oozed belonged to tier 3.
“My friend!!,” the vibrant voice of a young man resounded, from the end of the room, where a table and chair could be seen, behind this table was a man who looked to be in his late twenties or early thirties.
The man wore a dark green robe which featured multiple inscriptions and items that Noah didn’t know their uses.
“It been a while,” Augustus said while walking closer to the man who was basically jumping in happiness.
“I see you’ve advanced to tier 3,” Augustus sighed hugging his friend.
“Come on both of us know, that if not for your families problem, you would have advanced first,” the man said still hugging his friend.
“Can..t breathe!,” Augustus exclamained after some point making his friend drop him.
The man noticed the rest of the group at that point, and also realized that something was amiss. “Where’s Luke?.” the man said.
Augustus simply shook his head, but his friend understood the meaning of that gesture. “I’m sorry for your loss.”
Augustus waved his hand in dismissal, “This is the group I hired, we were more than this twenty days ago, now only five of them remain,” Augustus explained.
“It’s nice to meet you all,” the man said while his eyes swept the group, his eyes spending a bit of time on Noah, as a glint of surprise appeared on his eyebrows just for a second.
After that the man nodded his head, and six chairs appeared out of thin air.
“If you all don’t mind I’d like to talk with my friend,” the man said, as his aura expanded creating an invisible dome where no sound could be heard.
