Chapter 81: 81. FIGHT
Two days ago, the night of the first day…
“I’m sure you all have seen how rather easy this stage has been for our participants. And I’m certain most of you aren’t finding it too… entertaining.”
“So I have a proposal, why don’t we crank things up a bit, just when this stage is about to end.”
The VIPs seemed to like the idea since they cheered. Although some weren’t okay with it, they remained quiet for now.
“How are you going to do that?” A man raised his question while the others nodded at the question.
“I’m going to introduce Luvatinous’s minions to the stage,” Elder Malachi revealed. His audience gasped.
“No! I disagree!” The voice of Isabella’s father roared, merely an instant later, as he stood. His expression was of growing fury. Whiffs of his aura quickly began to seep out of his figure.
“Please calm down sir Thomas,” Elder Malachi reassured. “I’ll only ask him to send a few of them, and they’ll only be at the peak of the second tier,” he explained, trying to take control of the situation.
“No. We all know that, that tier four existence is too dangerous, that’s why he was locked up, to begin with. Why do you want to utilize his abilities now? It’s too dangerous,” Sir Thomas responded, fuming at this point.
“How about limiting the amount they can fight to only one, and at their respective levels of power?” Elder Malachi suggested. Seeing that Sir Thomas shook his head in disagreement, he continued.
“How about I also tell him to remove his most dangerous abilities, and leave the milder ones? Maybe two or three.”
Seeing that the man still disagreed, he shook his head in dismay. “How about we cast a vote, those who want me to go ahead with this plan, please raise your hands.”
Over ninety percent of the VIPs raised their hands apart from Sir Thomas, his wife, and two others.
“Majority has spoken. I shall go ahead with the plan,” Elder Malachi announced unfazed by the glare trying to pierce his skin.
However, immediately he revealed his brazen intentions, Sir Thomas’s aura exploded in intensity, radiating killing intent. His aura spread across the entire coliseum and even stretched out beyond it.
Some of the weaker spectators either directly passed out, or some straight up died from the aura’s pressure!
“Sir Thomas there is no need for this,” Elder Malachi explained, his voice and expression still calm.
Seeing that the man didn’t listen, even going ahead to wield his weapon, his voice rang out again.
“Sir Thomas, you do know fighting me for no good reason is punishable by our law?”
“The royal family has given me the authority to do such things. I only asked for your opinions out of respect.” Elder Malachi stated, his expression getting colder every second. Even his aura seeped out of his figure.
The other existence’s in the VIP area deployed their defense technique’s at that point. A fight between those existences would definitely unfold dangerously, and they would just watch it unfold.
Seeing no reaction from Sir Thomas, his aura even began to radiate battle intent. Sir Malachi sighed revealing his weapon of choice, a sword. Then his aura exploded, canceling Sir Thomas’s presence.
Sir Thomas began at that point. The air in the whole coliseum seemed to get immensely heavy, as curved blades the size of small buildings, materialized from thin air to converge on Sir Malachi’s who simply snorted.
Blue flames, incredibly hot, flickered into existence and shot forward, destroying the blades of wind, with precision.
Giant explosions resounded in the environment, as multiple running spectators died instantly.
Sir Thomas moved at that point. The world seemed to understand his Intent to accelerate since dust rose in arcs around his figure just before he shot forward.
BOOOOOM!
That area immediately began to crumble, as Sir Thomas reached Elder Malachi in an instant.
Raising his sword at his stationed target huge wind currents gathered above the coliseum, as the shape of a massive slash fell on Elder Malachi’s figure.
An incredible explosion unfolded in colorful radiance, as the whole arena fell into chaos. Intense shock waves ravaged the whole place, as it seemed like a calamity had befallen Crilion.
Within the eye of the explosion, Sir Thomas’s sword could be seen in the grasp of Elder Malachi, his body emitting blue flames that burnt the air before it could touch him.
“Is this all you have to throw at me?” Elder Malachi snorted coldly.
Sir Thomas seemed to run mad at that taunt, as the whole windstorm vanished instantly. A second of silence befell the whole coliseum, then a huge green magical circle expanded very high above the coliseum even spreading far beyond it.
The whole world seemed to hold its breath, as an incredible spell was about to be cast.
Elder Malachi sensed danger at that point, since he formed a fist, then threw a punch at Sir Thomas, who blocked it with his sword but was sent flying in the process.
“Do you want to destroy the entire city!” the elder roared, shooting upwards, a streak of blue flames forming behind him.
A blue magic circle expanded below Elder Malachi, while he was underneath the green magic circle.
Sir Thomas’s spell started at that point. A horrible wind current flowed out of the magic circle, tens of buildings being torn from their foundation, as a massive sword the size of small towns, descended from the magic circle.
But Elder Malachi was ready for it. A massive shield made of blue flames, the size of the coliseum itself rose from the magic circle beneath him.
Time seemed to stop when those spells collided in the sky.
BOOOOOOOOOOOM!
An explosion that sent even Elder Malachi shooting toward the ground unfolded, as the sword of wind tried to pierce the shield of blue flames.
Multiple explosions of incredible scales, continued to unfold, as the two huge spells ate each other up. It took about three minutes before both spells vanished.
The world returned to normal at that point, but the city wasn’t. Multiple buildings were missing as they had either been thrown away, outside the city or crashed into another building killing hundreds to even thousands of people in the process.
Elder Malachi stared at this scene with a dark expression. Searching for Sir Thomas with his eyes, he shot towards the man when he found him floating in the sky.
His fist smashed into the expert’s face the moment he arrived before him, sending him toward the ground. Sir Thomos dug the ground several meters before coming to a stop.
A cloud of dust formed, even if it disappeared when elder Malachi flickered above that location.
“What the heck were you thinking!?”
“Give me one good reason not to kill you right now!” he roared, as his body flickered with blue flames, a sort of armor forming on his body, while his sword also caught blue flames.
Sir Thomas said nothing, his features squeezed in a somber expression. Elder Malachi raised his sword at that point, the air itself beginning to heat up.
“Please don’t!” A loud voice pleaded. It was Thomas’s wife, and she descended from the sky toward the spot of the still-buried body of her spouse.
Kneeling beside the crater, she bowed. “Please don’t kill him. He was only worried about our daughter.” She pleaded more.
“We’ll accept whatever punishment the court gives him, but please don’t end him now. If you do he won’t be able to get punished for the deaths he caused.”
“I’m sorry. I got blinded by my anger,” Sir Thomas, bowed after getting out of the crater.
Elder Malachi calmed down at that point, his armor of blue flames dispersing, then he stored his sword.
Without removing his gaze from the couple, he issued a call with his communication amulet, requesting backup.
It took about twenty minutes before the twenty-one soldiers arrived. All were third-tier experts, while their leader possessed prowess in the fourth-tier.
“FWEET” The tier 4 soldier whistled when he saw the destruction caused by the short fight. “You are going to court for a while,” the man revealed, cuffing Sir Thomas and taking him away.
“The plan will continue as before, all this was but a waste,” Elder Malachi snarled at Thomas while they took him away. The expert could only bow his head in regret.
Glancing back at the almost destroyed coliseum in an ugly mood, Elder Malachi performed a series of hand signs, then a series of intricately webbed blues lines the size of a football field appeared around him and fell on the coliseum.
Immediately that happened the arena surprisingly began to rebuild itself, though only at a relatively fast pace.
With that done, Elder Malachi made a call to someone who then directed him to the person; or rather existence that he wanted to get in contact with. Luvatinous.
