When he arrived at the cave from before, Lin Fan heard the sounds coming from within.
It seemed that the girls who were trapped hadn’t lost the hope that they instilled in him. It seemed that with the hope that he put in them, they had been able to hold on until this day.
Though it did seem like they did sound a bit weaker than when he incited that hope in them.
For the demonic cultivators, they were about to sacrifice these girls.
It didn’t seem like it made sense to keep them fed if they were about to be sacrificed.
So most likely these girls were exhausted from being starved like this.
Still, he could hear that they had determination in their voices, so it wasn’t as if they were about to die that soon. They could at least hold on a bit longer for him to do a few more things before saving them.
Lin Fan had released a few things while he had been moving around this area and those things came into play at this moment.
These were Greeny’s puppets that he had spread out around the area.
They had formed a net covering this area so that he would be able to notice any movements from around him. At the same time, there were a few that went inside of the cave to see what the situation inside was like.
There was no doubt that there would be a guard watching over these girls, Lin Fan needed to know just how strong these guards were.
“It seems like they really don’t think highly of these girls.” Lin Fan couldn’t help thinking to himself when he received the report from Greeny.
The guards that were left inside were only Foundation Realm demonic cultivators.
It seemed that they didn’t think that the girls would be able to do anything and they didn’t think anything of the things the girls said. When the girls talked about a saviour, they just didn’t take heed of it at all.
That was why there were only these weak guards that were guarding these girls that they regarded as weak mortals.
“Nothing in the surrounding area?” Lin Fan asked Greeny one more time.
When Greeny gave a nod, Lin Fan didn’t waste any more time and headed into the cave. He knew what kind of ability Greeny had, so he didn’t have any doubts about Greeny’s affirmation.
With his illusion spell in place, Lin Fan was able to make his way into the cave without anyone noticing him.
He was able to see the girls that were in the cages and he was able to see the Foundation Realm demonic cultivators that were around that were guarding them.
There were a total of five of them and they were all spread out across this cave, but that wasn’t a problem for him at all. For Lin Fan it was easy for him to take down all five of them in a single move.
It actually was as simple as flipping his hand.
That was just how strong he had become as a Golden Core Realm Cultivator.
“Die.” There was no mercy at all as he cut down all of the Foundation Realm demonic cultivators with a single slash of his hand.
These were people that were willing to sacrifice these girls, so naturally they weren’t anything good. Lin Fan didn’t feel any guilt at all about killing these demonic cultivators.
Though when these demonic cultivators dropped, the girls fell silent as they were shocked to see these demonic cultivators fall down dead like this.
But at the same time, it seemed that some of them had sparks of joy seeing them dead like this.
It made it quite clear what kind of suffering these girls had gone through at the hands of these demonic cultivators.
After a few seconds of feeling this way, the girls became wary again because they couldn’t see Lin Fan.
The illusion spell that Lin Fan used wasn’t one that would dispel the moment that he made his attack. He was using his mana control to use his spiritual energy like this, so it wouldn’t fade as long as he kept using his spiritual energy.
That meant that they couldn’t see him at all.
Finally, one of the girls asked in a tentative voice, “Is someone there?”
There was a clear wariness that was to her voice as she said this.
Lin Fan also spoke, “I’m here to save you, but I want you to be quiet. Can you do that?”
Lin Fan didn’t release the illusion spell when he said this since he was being cautious just in case, but that meant that for the girls, his voice was just coming out of nowhere.
The girls seemed a bit worried still, but in the end…
The one that spoke before nodded first before the rest of the nodded in agreement as well.
With that, Lin Fan swept his hand down and cut the cage door open. The bars of the cage door were sliced in half and then fell off their hinges to drop to the ground, opening up the cage for them.
The girls looked at the opening in shock, but there was also wariness in their eyes as if they didn’t dare take a step forward. After all, all of this seemed so convenient that it almost seemed like some kind of trap…
They really didn’t know what to say about this.
As they were stunned, there was a portal that suddenly appeared in front of the opening to the cage.
After that portal appeared, a voice said, “Step through and you’ll be brought to a safe place.”
At this, many of the girls couldn’t help taking a step back.
Lin Fan also knew what effect his words would have on them, but he really didn’t have any time to explain this to them. The only thing that he could do was forcefully use this choice to force them to make a decision.
If they didn’t leave this place, then all that was waiting for them was death.
If they went through the portal, then there was only the possibility of death.
He didn’t think that they would fail to recognize this, so he just waited for them to make a decision.
As for why he didn’t just force them all into the portal, it was simply to prevent them from causing trouble after entering the Minor World.
So he waited for them to make their decision.
In the end, it was the same girl from before who took the lead before the others could do anything and stepped forward towards the portal.
As she stepped forward, she said, “It means death if I don’t do anything, so I might as well take this risk.”
After saying this, she didn’t hesitate to walk through the portal and disappear.
There was a moment of silence among the other girls, but they eventually all stepped into the portal after that first girl.
Though they didn’t attract Lin Fan’s attention like that first girl did.
That first girl certainly had a strong will and quite the determination that she was able to go through the portal that decisively. If it was possible, she might be a good person to recruit into the Love Sect in the future.
Once all of the girls had entered the portal, Lin Fan made the portal disappear before heading out of the cave. But as he was heading out, there was something that suddenly came down the tunnel that made him knit his brows.
He immediately raised his hand and gathered a barrier of Clear Water in front of him to block it.
It was a spear of blood that slammed right into the barrier of Clear Water, but that spear of blood didn’t last long as it was absorbed into the barrier of Clear Water. Even though it was absorbing the blood, the colour of the Clear Water didn’t change at all.
Lin Fan didn’t bother looking for the source of the spear of blood and pulled back his Clear Water.
He still had the illusion spell on after all, so it didn’t matter if that one spear of blood had come his way since he didn’t believe that someone would be able to see him.
But that wasn’t the case as another spear of blood came at him.
Once was a coincidence, twice couldn’t be a coincidence.
It seemed that the other side was able to find him even though he had the illusion spell on, though he had no idea how the other side was doing this. Still, since the other side could see him, it seemed like there was nothing that he could do.
With a thought, the illusion spell disappeared and Lin Fan’s figure appeared.
As he did, there was an ugly middle aged man who walked out in front of him.
Perhaps this middle aged man wouldn’t have been as ugly if it wasn’t for the bloody lines that were marking his skin. It seemed like there was something corrupting him with the way that these bloody lines ran across his skin.
He really looked like some kind of monster with the appearance that he had.
The middle aged man said with an ugly smile, “I knew that there was a rat that was hiding here, but it seems like you’re quite good at hiding. It must be some kind of treasure that you used to hide yourself, but that doesn’t matter since it’ll be mine once I kill you.”
“How?” Lin Fan simply asked this question.
