All of the sect masters and elders trembled the moment that they heard this.
They could feel that the tone of the voice was aimed at them, but there was nothing that they could do about this. After all, they had lost the sacrifices that they had gathered, so they had no choice but to use these disciples that were considered inferior goods.
Still, all of them bowed their heads when faced with the pressure that came from the statue.
At the same time, it was as if they were trying to ask for forgiveness from the one that was behind the statue.
Eventually, one of the sect masters said, “My lord, please don’t be angry. This is the best that we could gather during this time, we’ll give you better sacrifices next time as long as we tide over this danger.”
The other sect masters and elders nodded in agreement to this.
The voice of the statue didn’t ring out which made them feel a bit anxious, but eventually it said, “You are all trash of the lowest level, do you think that I care about your offerings?”
The sect masters and elders were shocked when they heard this.
They had thought that they had left a good impression on the demon behind this statue, but it turned out that they were nothing in its eyes. It turned out that they were nothing more than toys to the demon…
But it wasn’t as if they could say anything about this.
There was a reason why they had been holding these sacrifice ceremonies to this demon.
It was all because it was stronger than them and they wanted power from this demon.
So they offered sacrifices in hopes that this demon would give them power.
It wasn’t completely useless since the demon still said, “You shall receive what you deserve and nothing more.”
At the very least, it wasn’t as if they wouldn’t receive nothing at all.
There were a few flies that moved away from the statue and flew over to where these demonic cultivators were standing. As they flew over, there was a strange form of energy that came from these flies that entered the bodies of the demonic cultivators.
Once the strange energy filled the demonic cultivators, they suddenly started to change.
The wounds that they suffered healed right up and the aura around them was becoming stronger as if they had been injected with some kind of elixir that buffed them.
When it was over, the sect masters and elders looked down at their hands as if they were amazed by the power that they had gained.
After all, this was power that was even beyond the power that they wielded when they had been at their peak. It seemed that this power that they received from their lord had made them even stronger than before.
While they were amazed by the power that they received, the flies seemed like they were agitated by something.
Then all of a sudden, the voice of the demon said, “It seems like there’s a little rat hiding in the shadows.”
The sect master and the elders were all shocked to hear this.
However, Lin Fan wasn’t surprised to hear this.
If this demon was what he thought it was, it was only natural that it would be able to see through the illusion spell that Lin Fan had put on himself. That was the kind of power that this demon possessed.
However, he didn’t reveal himself like he did with the sect master.
He just remained there in hiding as he waited to see what the demon would do.
“So you’re not coming out? Then let me get rid of that disguise for you.” The demon said in a cold voice.
Lin Fan was prepared for what was about to happen, or he thought that he was prepared.
Before he could do anything, there was a layer of flies that appeared around him.
These flies didn’t touch him, but they didn’t move away from where he was.
It was as if they were just flying around him to show that he was there.
The sect masters and the elders immediately raised their guards as if they were prepared to fight, but without instructions from the demon first, they didn’t actually dare do a thing.
Since he was trapped, Lin Fan knew that there was no point in keeping up the illusion spell.
There was no telling what the demon would do if he kept this up, so he just released it to see what the demon wanted.
When he appeared, the sect masters and the elders were shocked to see him.
After all, even if the demon had said that there was someone there, it was hard for them to believe that someone had been able to sneak through all of the demonic cultivators outside to come to this place. It seemed like a suicide mission and at the same time, it seemed like an impossible task.
But there was someone that appeared in front of them, so they couldn’t deny the facts.
After being shocked, the sect masters and the elders immediately raised their weapons again as if they were ready to attack at any moment.
It was then that one of the sect masters suddenly realized something.
“The sacrifices…Where did you take them?”
When they heard this, the other sect masters and elders immediately realized what this sect master was implying and they all narrowed their eyes to look at Lin Fan.
Right, the sacrifices had suddenly disappeared, but it wasn’t as if they would disappear on their own. Those sacrifices were only mortals, so it wasn’t as if they would have the power to break out on their own.
No one else had come here other than this person, so that could only mean that this person was the one that had taken the sacrifices.
At the same time, since there were so many sacrifices in the first place, it wasn’t as if he could have gotten far. They didn’t believe that his method of sneaking around was strong enough that it would be able to bring all of those sacrifices away without them noticing anything.
Otherwise it would just be too heaven defying if he could do something like this.
So naturally they didn’t believe that he would be able to do something like that.
The sacrifices had to be nearby.
“There’s the smell of the sacrifices coming from him, so they should be on him still. He must have some kind of special spatial treasure that he’s keeping them in.” The demon suddenly spoke again.
The sect masters and elders were surprised to hear this, but then they immediately knew what they had to do.
Lin Fan revealed a faint smile as he said, “Did you really have to say that?”
The sect masters and elders seemed to have misunderstood this as one of them suddenly said, “It’s too late for you to regret this. This is the fate of going against the lord.”
Then as soon as his voice fell, they all jumped at Lin Fan.
It was just that Lin Fan didn’t seem worried at all as he stood there with the same smile on his face. At the same time, he raised one of his fists as if he was about to punch out in front of him.
Before any of the sect masters or elders could hit him, there was a layer of water that came up around Lin Fan. This layer of water blocked all of the attacks that had been coming at him.
The layer of water seemed to absorb all of the energy that they released, which then disappeared without a trace. With the way that the energy disappeared, it was as if it was swallowed by the layer of water.
Lin Fan wasn’t idle when all of the demonic cultivators had been stopped by the barrier of Clear Water.
His hand had been raised and he suddenly punched out with that fist, hitting one of the sect masters that was there in front of him. That sect master was sent flying, but he did bring his weapon down in front of him to block that punch before being sent flying.
“Ha, is that…” That was all the sect master was able to say before he suddenly spurted out blood and his weapon shattered to pieces. It wasn’t just his weapon that seemed to be shredded by something, it was also his body that was also shredded by something.
When he fell, he didn’t get back up.
Lin Fan hadn’t held back this time, so the power was incomparable to the punch that he sent at the other sect master.
Even if this sect master was stronger, he wasn’t able to resist that attack at all.
The other demonic cultivators all had shocked looks on their faces when they heard this, but they didn’t allow themselves to remain dazed since they knew that would be a one way ticket to hell.
They had to take care of this person in front of them before he was allowed to make another move.
It was just that none of them were able to penetrate the barrier of Clear Water.
No matter how they tried to attack Lin Fan, their attacks were all stopped by the barrier of Clear Water that came up around Lin Fan each time.
Lin Fan just casually kept punching out at them one by one, killing them off one by one.
When they saw that there were only half of them left, the remaining demonic cultivators started to panic.
“My lord, please save us!”
